Live in Winchester and I hate how many times I’ve driven by Fort Collier Center and never knew it was there. Like I was never even told in school. No field trip or anything. That’s a shame. Will definitely have to visit there soon!
Great job as always…now another book to purchase the Julia Chase Diary. Laura Lee wrote a book too. Two different views of the Winchester battle area. A beautiful important area in Virginia for both sides.
This series has done such a great job doing overviews of this area. The Shenandoah Valley was so important in the war, but just doesn’t get the coverage that the events to the east get, until the arrival of Sheridan. Thank you for this wonderful series.
Great video. Love the Valley Campaign of 1864. Have family that fought at the battle and also have family from Winchester. I’m from NH though so to see Virginia is a long drive.
so good, so much enjoy, hit the like & sub buttons,,,,,, so good work & so much appreciated ! ps, be more partial & even sided to the CSA vs the WASH DC,,,,
Interesting! Always learning new things here.
My hometown!
Great to hear about another area of Winchester and the Valley. I was aware of the Star Fort from Second Winchester. Did not remember this fort.
Been here twice. Like the Thurman Thomas hat. He lives near me and run into him occasionally
Good job crew

Thank you, looking forward to that discussion of how many times Winchester changed hands!
Good one Garry!
We were just at the Winchester Battlefields last week.

Went to school in Waynesboro. Great video.
Great great grandfather was in 12 WV infantry and taken prisoner during the second battle of Winchester.
✌️
Wow the state of Virginia really took a beating.
Should have used that Thief Milroy's nickname, old Silver Spoon Milroy. He and his men stole every piece of silver they could find.

Jonathan keeps swaying making me dizzy.
Sarah seems uncomfortable speaking on camera.
