i know i’m 2 years late to this but you know what this is giving? this to me PERFECTLY shows the feeling of sighing before the f**king storm that is the omori battle. the song is trying to be comforting like, “you’ve got a long battle ahead of you. it’s going to be the hardest thing you have ever done, but believe in yourself because i believe in you.” and just like the stage, it’s a lot like that quick nervous-excitement you get before a show. but at the same time, you have your friends backstage saying, “you can do this, we believe in you!” but it’s not at all as simple as it seems.

after everything, this part and then final duet was where i cried. the representation of sunny finally forgiving himself, told through the people dear to him mixed with the feelings of my own experiences with depression; not being able to forgive yourself. forgiveness is the most important part of this game for me, so this part of the game is one of the best in its entirety in my own thoughts
Think of the first dialogue his friends speak. It's contradicting to what happened in reality after Mari left. This technically makes Sunny's thoughts all the more conflicting and may also be a reason for his initial defeat in the final fight. "I feared not fitting in", "it's been a long time; people thought I was dense and careless", "I know you don't like taking the lead; but you can trust us"... All of this ended up happening, except the trust part sort of, and is seen as a negative.

Got chills all over my spine , that was already pretty much emotional moment , but now it's just pressing soo hard.
