    The first beach that you went to i think is snorkling spot for the sardine run.

    The first beach you visited, Panagsama beach, is the location for scuba dives, free dives and sardine watching. Rent some goggles and fins and swim out to the underwater cliff drop, only a few metres from shore, and you will most likely see millions of sardines - its quite an experience. One thing to note is the prevalence of jelly fish, some people have been badly stung and it will ruin your trip, so best to wear at least a tight fitting full sleeved swimming top, which you can buy locally.

    Cool looks like a nice little town. Reminds of when I took a bus from cebu to Dumaguete I believe it took 6 hours with 2 hours of it getting out of cebu traffic. They have those sizzling skillets in Mexican restaurants in USA they are called fajitas.

    Hold on to your hat. That was a good price. It always time to feed Chung . Moalboal was closer and cheaper to get to from Cebu City than I thought. Thanks for all the great info.

    The total cost of the Taxi can be split between more people (4 or 5) then the cost per head will be much closer to the per head Bus fare in this video.. other areas taxi is better , due to privacy, faster and direct to the hotel, cutting down on transfers w Trikes...

    I rented a Motorbike in Cebu City when I visit there with my wife in 2019. My Map program did not work so we got lost a lot - hehe. My goal was to travel all the way around Cebu island however we ended up cutting through the mountains to the other side of the Island. It was beautiful and the cooler temps felt nice. My Filipina wife had to put on a jacket - Hehe. I was concerned about running out of fuel but that was no problem as the motorbike had much better fuel economy than I expected. MoalBoal was on my list of places to visit and we ended up staying the night there. The hotel was about $70 US but was the only one available to us that night. It was a Beautiful place and is currently my favorite place in the Philippines, (I have not been to El Nido yet!!), as the Hotel had a private beach, a large room and large bathroom, a covered porch overlooking the beach and water ( I had my morning coffee there and was a great way to start the day), secure parking inside a building with a 24 hour guard, and free breakfast at the eatery next door as well as a Dive Shop. While we had out breakfast we watched many vacationers from all over enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the clear smooth waters. I did not want to leave the next day but we had much to explore in a short amount of time. I hope to make it back to MoalBoal soon !!!

      Hi, can you share the name of the resort you stayed in Moalboal?

    • @dougparson667
      @dougparson667 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Dtoxpogi - Unfortunately I do not have that information any longer, that was 4 years ago. I can tell you we came in on a main road and turned left. just before we ran out of road for the scooter the place was on the right and the front was all glass and you could see the Japanese Coy Pond just inside the glass. The service desk was next the inside pond. No rooms were visable from the road. Next to the place was the Dive Shop. just past the dive shop the road narrowed to a walking path. It was dumb luck that we found it as when we checked in that night we got the last room left and the only reason I stayed there at that price was all other places were fully booked for the night.

    I love this video! A woman I am talking to lives here and I want to go visit for a month. Would you happen to have any idea what it cost per night to stay in Moalboal or what I should expect to spend in a month as a tourist doing touristy things? I know there is probably a lot of different factors, but if you two were to stay here for a month, how much do you think you would expect to spend here? Thanks in advance :)

    I see a lot of people there eating rice with eggs for breakfast. Is there a certain type of rice sauce or meat/vegetable mix that's popular with eggs cooked over easy?

    • @HoboVentures
      @HoboVentures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I not so sure, but I see people eat with vinegar/soy sauce.

    When you use private transportation - tricycles, tuk tuks, motorcycles, etc - is it customary to tip & if so how much?

    • @HoboVentures
      @HoboVentures  ปีที่แล้ว

      We usually round up fare when paying by cash and leave the difference as a tip for the driver. If we take tricycle with our luggages, we usually add more 50 -150 pesos for the tips when they quote us a real fare.
      This website explain well about tipping culture in the Philippines.
