Very good explanation! I am catholic and wear crucifix daily, I suffer from spinal stenosis and have alot of pain. Its nothing compared to what our savior Jesus endured on the cross for our sins. Jesus is the truth, the way, and the life. God Bless❤
Amen, Father! It wasn’t the cross that saved us. It was Christ’s *sacrifice* on the cross that did. We also believe St Paul when he tells us “we preach Christ crucified” (1 Cor 1:23).
The empty cross doesn't symbolise the resurrection anyway, only that Jesus died and was taken down from the cross. A more fitting icon would be the empty tomb..
The Lutheran pastor Paul Lang, in his book CEREMONY AND CELEBRATION wrote in favor of the crucifix. I think he also thought a cross without a corpus was invalid.
@@TheBadTrad Well, we also get the Lord's Prayer right. We pray "Our Father," NOT "Our Father-Mother." as one Catholic congregation did. That congregation's practice of saying "Our-Father-Mother" was one reason, a Catholic, I know of, attended a sister Lutheran congregation. She was turned off by ":Our Father-Mother." I guess the other reason, she attended, was her husband was Lutheran.
@@guytakamatsu7326 I’ve never, ever heard of any Catholic praying the Our Father that way-much less a whole congregation. If that even occurred, it would go against all Church teaching and would constitute heresy.
The Resurrection does not effect forgiveness of sins. To downplay the Crucifixion is to offend Christ and the immeasurable suffering He went through, more than we can ever know.
Crucifixion satisfied Almighty God? but when Abraham put his son for sacrifice God stopped him. Also, there is written God wants mercy not sacrifice... I think there is some in misinterpreting in words ,for Gods nature ?. Jesus on cŕoss showed how much God loves us and that He would pay any price to save us. I do understand sacrafice but it is Jesus yes there is sacrafice not in Gods nature to sacrafice people . Please, what do you think
Numbers 21:6-9 " ... 9 So Moses made a bronze serpent ...". The crucified Jesus is a representation, a reminder for those, like muslims that deny The Cross following S. Paul: "For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Cor. 2:1-2). The Real presence of The Body and Blood of Jesus is in The Blessed Bread and Wine (John 6:30 and on).
Typical poor, inaccurate knowledge of the Bible. Anyone who studies the Bible properly without the pre-programming of false teachers out there becomes a Catholic.
@richardounjian9270 The ark was a chest constructed to be the place where God himself met with Moses. It contained the tablets of the law, the golden pot of manna, and Aaron's rod that budded. The temples were built to be a permanent housing for the ark and to carry out sacrificial worship. It replaced the transportable tabernacle. However, I have no idea what a prot is.

Very day we humans need to be reminded ✝️

Without the Body of Christ in the Crucifix, the cross is just a tool of execution….

So a prot actually got one right! 🤣

What can I say? Maybe it was a practice of Catholics in California.
@@guytakamatsu7326Yeah, that never happened. Ever.

The guy on the cross ain't Jesus. The guy on the cross is a graven image in direct violation of Exodus 20:4-6.

Prots don't understand Scripture. Explain the Ark of the Covenant and the Jewish Temples.
