you just mentioning you have an abled body to me really acknowledges the existence of disabled bodies and this disabled woman appreciates that soooo much! I know you’ve included disabled bodies before too, but I can’t remember which video for the life of me. either way, it means SOOO much that you include us, as we’re so often forgotten.
Facts when she said that I almost cried, just last year I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease which can come with chronic joint pain making it harder every day to work out and honestly just it was amazing to hear someone mention that 😭
When I saw the title I thought you were gonna just force yourself to go to the gym every day for a week and I was scared for you! But I was so happily surprised that you took such a good approach to this challenge! Love it so much and glad that your bestie joined you! 💜
I love that you mentioned “able” bodied. I do love to workout and am a coach actually but I know not everyone has that same goal to want to work out everyday, but, being able bodied is a blessing. I see people in wheelchairs everyday at the gym who would probably give anything to be out of that chair and just move. The way you speak about it is very positive and what young girls need to hear. It’s about moving. Feeling strong. Heart health- Not necessarily the weight loss. You’re beautiful love!
lol I've been working out everyday for almost two years. Changed me life. Never going back and I'm down 140 pounds. I don't kill myself in the gym everyday, but I do exercise EVERY SINGLE day.
I’ve been going strong for 2 months now. On my “rest day” I make sure to remain active and do something low impact like a long walk with my dog and yoga! My change in mindset was my high blood pressure! I refused to be on blood pressure medication at the age of 26 so I’ve been working out every day and watching my sodium. Switching my mindset from “must burn calories!!” To “this is for my long term health so I can live a long healthy life” is what gets me off the couch every single day!
The different types of workouts each day was a cool way to do this challenge! If you ever do this again, I'd love to see some weightlifting incorporated....weightlifting has totally changed the way I look at fitness :)
Girl! That Jazzercise video is thirty years old! It’s still around and it’s the number 1 exercise franchise in the world. Their main head quarters is in southern Cali!! Go take a class and see how much it has changed. I am an instructor and love it!
You're the friend we all need. This was the perfect reminder to take time for me and just move! It's so easy to put it off. I love your videos so much. You shine a beautiful light into the world 💛
I injured myself a few weeks ago and haven’t been able to do any exercise or move my body in my favorite ways. I didn’t fully appreciate what I had until I wasn’t able to do it anymore )-: a reminder to take advantage of being able to move your body while you can!! 💗
This video is great - exercise is vital! I work out 6 days a week and it’s awesome - I also think there’s nothing wrong with working out to lose weight I think if someone wants to change their physique they can!
I LOVE this! Not only are you doing something for yourself to stay healthy physically but you can just see how much joy is radiating from you and i LOVE it! I workout everyday but I sometimes forget that working out and being healthy can be fun!
Moving your body everyday is so important it's not about weight loss it's about having the energy to do the things that you need to do. I hope you continue to do this for yourself it is probably the best self care that you can do. And you seem so happy in this video I know personally I am a much happier more energetic person when I stick to my workout schedule
This made me feel so happy and good :) I'm in college and I'm bad for never putting my health first so this really encouraged me to go and take some time for myself. Also, your friend is so funny and cute! You're honestly my favorite
I recognize the mindfulness in your perspectives and I appreciate you for it. Taking the time to acknowledge the priveldge of having the ability to use our legs is so important and often times forgotten.
I LOVE YOU thank you for all you do for the midsize community! You make me feel less alone in my body struggles and your content means so much to me! I’m 5’11 and a size 12-14 and I swear I carry my weight so similarly to you- it’s so refreshing to see someone rock it with confidence and truly gives me the confidence to rock it myself! 🖤
I'm super glad you did this video and I hope you will stick with it! Exercise comes in soo many different forms and everyone can find what is the most fun for them; it seems crazy but you honestly begin to lovee working out and how it makes you feel!
Loved seeing you practice self care and move your body! You have a beautiful perspective on the purpose of exercise. Hope you keep taking care of yourself this way, carving out that “you” time to make your body happy 😊
It’s so awesome you did this!! Exercising has been proven to help with mental health and depression and anxiety as well as makes you feel great so you should keep up doing this a couple days a week and see if you notice any difference
Love this! Working out is definitely my form of self care. It’s so awesome seeing someone from the body positivity side of things recognise and advocate that as well! ❤️
Carrie! I have CFS and have been struggling with keeping up my exercise bc I’m worried about not gaining weight and still being strong. I can’t do any regular exercises like running or zoomba, water aerobics or gentle walks could definitely work. You telling *me* that moving your body in any way is a good self care has taken the pressure off of me to move every day and go at my own pace
Josephine Kirby Sears thank you! I try to do 5 minutes of yoga every day to stretch out my body. I’m super proud of you for doing what you can every day. I’ll definitely try out simple stretches I can do while sitting.
Thank you so much for focusing on just getting our bodies moving! I’ve done the jazzercise work out several times since watching this video and I love it! So fun 💕
Yay so happy you made this video!! So important to show people that working out should be form of getting your body moving + feeling good... not as a punishment or burning a certain amount of calories. Love you Carrie 💜😁💜
Love this!!!! Such a great way to show different paths to more active lifestyle. Because honestly, I am not a fan of the gym. Never thought about some of these alternatives.
This video is so relevant to me right now, I recently started swimmings laps in at a local swimming pool to try and move my body more. You give me so many ideas for other workouts in this video, thank you so much for that! Love your channel and positive message.
I needed this. After 3 kids I am at my biggest size and I was feeling so down about it because I wasn't seeing any results and I was giving up. I need to think about exercise differently and focus on how I feel afterwards and not focus so much on the numbers. Thank you!
You're honestly one of my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE TH-camrs! Thanks to you, I really want to actually start liking myself and my body. I love you. Thanks for being an absolute inspiration for me and so many others. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for mentioning that working out and movement are privileges of having an abled body 💙 I wish I could get my body moving without passing out, but I love feeling seen through your videos
Health is such a personal, unique experience for everyone. It's not a number on the scale, a size or anyone else's opinion. If we start our day by honouring ourselves with love and respect than I think it can set ourselves up for abundance in health, peace and happiness. Btw, you radiate all of those things Carrie.
I started kickboxing to lose weight but it turned out that I love it. It makes me feel strong and honestly it keeps my depression to a minimum. I always leave class with more energy than when I walked in.
I've been trying to have a better view on food and exercise and feeling healthy and happy. There are definitely days that are hard, but overall I feel a lot better about myself. This video is motivation to keep it up! Thanks Carrie, love your videos! ❤
Thank you for making this video! This is giving me the positive motivation I need to start moving more, and that it doesn’t have to be an hour at the gym everyday 👌
What a great way to try to find fun new ways to get some exercise! It was so nice to see a youtuber not just go to soul cycle as if that’s the only work out in the world. This was so cute!
I used to workout to feel so good everyday, I'm now 39 weeks pregnant and I try to get through a few blocks of walking haha💕💕 can't wait to get back to it😊😊❤❤
Normally I exercise 5/6 times a week, but since the beginning of this month I felt so depressed that I barely had the energy to get out of bed let alone workout, I felt terrible because I was skipping school and staying at home so I felt like I should have worked out because I had time, but I just couldn’t. You reminded me that working out shouldn’t be a chore, but rather something you do for yourself to feel better 💗
Also, I went to the YMCA to do water aerobics and the ladies got upset at my barely showing bikini like full coverage except a tiny little area, high waisted and basically a sports bra... because I don't want to show much off anyway. The instructor said I needed a one piece and it basically was. The old ladies in those classes can be nasty!
Love it! 🤩 I just got done working out every day for a week myself! Can highly recommend trying a challenge like this! I experienced it as a really powerful mental exercise to see how much we can actually push through our physical pain, and crush our own limiting beliefs! 😁 I used to believe I couldn't run on the same day as I did leg day in the gym, well I was wrong 😊🙏
I recently starting doing this exact thing! So often I found myself working out or exercising with the goal of losing weight or “getting skinny” and that’s such a toxic mentality. I’ve found it so empowering to workout simply because it feels good and it’s for ME!
I’m so glad you tried Zumba!!!!! It is so underrated! So much fun and you can make it as easy or as intense as you want ☺️. Me and my mom used to go to Zumba together every week back when I was able bodied and even though we are both uncoordinated AF, we would just be rocking on in the back laughing at how terrible we were and having fun ❤️
This looked like so much fun! I loved this so much, am honestly sad that it's over though lol. I also love how you guys bought outfits for jazzercize❤😂
YES!! I love the message of this video and it was interesting to see the fun ways you chose to move your body. I personally feel most empowered from weight lifting, but this video high key makes me wanna try a zumba class now 😂
Rebecca Ray I feel like short people and tall people are on the same boat here- you guys have to add fabric to your clothes and hemming is my best friend. But also I swear the day I find straps that aren’t too long for me is the day the world implodes.
I had been working out consistently (3-5 times a week) between April 2020 and October 2020. I felt so strong and happy when I consistently worked out. My job got super crazy and busy, and I had a really bad experience my last time at the gym. There were a group of men at the gym I was at insulting anyone and everyone there, and I heard one guy say “she’s disgusting, I would kill myself if I looked like that”. Other people’s opinions shouldn’t matter, but when they say something like that, it hurts. Words hurt. And you should NEVER tell someone to harm themselves. People like the guys at the gym are the reason some have lost all faith in humanity. But despite that event I’m determined and I want to get back into working out and consistently moving my body. Thank you for the motivation (even if I’m watching this video a year later😂).
I challenged myself to work out every day for 90 days, I finished the 90 days just over 2 weeks ago, out of 90 days I did 62 workouts, for someone who never bothered before I was surprised at how much I looked forward to the work out each day, I mixed it up too so I wasnt doing the same thing everyday and I bloody loved it! I felt so energised, was sleeping better, felt really proud of myself. I broke my toe 2 weeks ago so haven't been able to do much since then, and man I miss just moving my body and seeing what I can do that I couldnt do before.
I loved this! I’m a private trainer/ barre instructor and I was a little nervous to watch this one, to be honest😬 BUT I loved the disclaimer in the beginning that you didn’t recommend working out every day, on an every-day basis, and I loved that you had so much fun! Something I always say in regards to frequenting workouts is, “listen to your body!” If you feel up for it, go for it! If you’re too sore, let your muscles recoup. Fitness is about long term health and mobility first and foremost. All the other benefits are just perks. I’d love to see you try a barre class! Preferably a boutique studio, not a chain. You’ll get a more authentic barre experience😉
Thank you so much for this ❤️ Watching this video kinda in a rush, would love to explain why I love it so much.... I'll try to remember to come back here tomorrow 😅 Just please, Carrie, if you seem to be reading this... Keep doing what you do, you're amazing 😘
My teenage daughter got into Zumba a while back and she loves it. They do their workouts in a black light studio, which is really nice if you're worried about people looking at you :) She also does water aerobics in the summer - yes, she's by far the youngest person but she really enjoys it.
Why wouldn't we want to emulate your activities after watching you have so much fun, and feel better! Thanks for such a thought provoking and inspiring video. It gets to be crucial to move for health and survival the older you get.
omg I loved this video! It has inspired me to think of different ways of working out. You really showed how working out can be fun and doesn't have to be about going to a dull boring gym!!!😍😍😍
I am so jealous! I live in Russia, so I had to stop running outside in the middle of September due to the low temperature... I miss it so much. Wish I could just go to the beach and run every day!
You should try out an OrangeTheory class! It’s an intense workout, but SO rewarding when you make it to the end. I’ve been going for a few months and really haven’t lost much weight at all, but my body feels so much stronger and better than it did before. It’s a great way to push yourself and compete with yourself over time!
Ohh loved it, you made it look so easy, I need to do sum exercise for my mental health, a do love a nice walk but need to really push myself into doing it,,, depression sucks ☹,,,,, keep it up ladies you both looked to be really happy n enjoying yourselves xx
Love love love this video & this video concept! What a great way to teach anyone of any age that exercise doesn’t have to be 2 hours at the gym. Exercise can be as easy as going to a fun class once a week, etc! On a personal note, I LOVE Zumba. My mom started bringing me to class with her when I was 12. I’ve always been the youngest in the class until this year when my instructor started bringing her daughter, but I’ve always loved Zumba. To me, Zumba was never a “work out”- it’s just having fun dancing to music. :) (Technically the class is now called “Cardio Funk” as it’s less Latino music & more Pop/Rap music)
Carrie you should try Jazzercise classes that are current!!!!! I’m an instructor and SO much has changed since those videos. No more leg warmers, no more headbands, or leotards.
It sounds like your workout reasoning and style is a lot like mine. I'm a Zumba® Instructor, and I'm so glad you had fun in class! My favorite part about Zumba® is that is just feels like a party. Plus, exactly like you said, you can go at your own pace. If you need a water break or to catch your breath, that's totally fine :) By moving your body, you are lapping everyone who decided to stay on the couch. If you ever find yourself in Kansas, I'd love to have you in class! Loved the video
Thank you for acknowledging that you understand and appreciate what your body can do for you. As someone who has been losing their mobility over the past 2 years, I'm glad you are saying that it is a privilege. You never realize what it is like to miss something until you can't do it. I use to love Zumba! Keep up spreading positivist
5:08 this is probably a weird comment, but i just wanted to say how beautiful you looked here, just washed, no makeup, in your glasses! literally had to pause the video to write this because you just looked extra pretty!
I had to take a pretty long break from working out regularly because I was so obsessed with burning the most calories. Like, I couldn't take a walk if I didn't have time for a 3 miles walk, so I'd just sit around and get sad about it instead. Totally logical. So excited to finally be getting back into a regular yoga practice now, because it makes me feel so strong and happy even if I don't burn a lot of calories. Diet culture has really got us all fucked up about eating and moving and living our lives.
this was such a wonderful and refreshing video :) thank you for creating it Carrie!! Also, I have to ask - where are the baskets in your bathroom from!!
Dance fitness is the only exercise I do now, it's so much fun! You should also look into U-Jam and Groov3 as additional dance fitness formats - I know they are both offered in L.A. and I think you'd LOVE those classes as well! :)
you just mentioning you have an abled body to me really acknowledges the existence of disabled bodies and this disabled woman appreciates that soooo much! I know you’ve included disabled bodies before too, but I can’t remember which video for the life of me. either way, it means SOOO much that you include us, as we’re so often forgotten.
NotDeadJustYet 💛💛💛💛
Facts when she said that I almost cried, just last year I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease which can come with chronic joint pain making it harder every day to work out and honestly just it was amazing to hear someone mention that 😭
Agreed! As someone with chronic illnesses, I really appreciated that too! 💖
I definitely read “tried” as “cried” and I was gonna say girl same 😂
When I saw the title I thought you were gonna just force yourself to go to the gym every day for a week and I was scared for you! But I was so happily surprised that you took such a good approach to this challenge! Love it so much and glad that your bestie joined you! 💜

Makeup For Glasses about an hour. Started off just walking an hour everyday and built my way up to going to the gym and weight lifting.
that’s awesome! i do the same and it’s helped with my chronic pain! i’m no longer on the slew of medications i was on :)

Naomi Tousha Girl, same. I fell down a flight of stairs 8 days ago and healing has been SLOW. I’m so sick of sitting constantly :/
Almost 2 years since my knee injury, trust when I say I miss just going for a walk.
Omg water aerobics is SO fun!! I’m always the youngest by decades haha and the those senior ladies kick my butt every time!💪🏻

I’m obsessed with Zumba! Started 2 years ago and it has become my happy place, so good for my mental health. Anything to upbeat music is my jam... 😉
I love exercising. I exercise six days a week. Three days cardio and three days of strength training. I love the Tabatta style of exercise.
I'm a Zumba instructor and I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I love when I get new people in my class! Its so great to just dance and have fun!

I felt so energised, was sleeping better, felt really proud of myself. I broke my toe 2 weeks ago so haven't been able to do much since then, and man I miss just moving my body and seeing what I can do that I couldnt do before.
I think zumba is the most fun way to excercise!! I love it and am gonna start classes soon because it makes me so happy.
This video was so much fun & got me excited to get back to making exercise a priority! Love love love ! 🤗
Thank you so much for this ❤️ Watching this video kinda in a rush, would love to explain why I love it so much.... I'll try to remember to come back here tomorrow 😅 Just please, Carrie, if you seem to be reading this... Keep doing what you do, you're amazing 😘
Layla could be the absolute cutest fluff ball waddling around on 4 legs! Love her so much! 🐾💜
I loved this video and how you made it something positive 😄 would love to see more of this!
First. You're amazing and I appreciate everything you do. Second! If you haven't already tried it out, The Fitness Marshall on TH-cam is legit so fun!
My teenage daughter got into Zumba a while back and she loves it. They do their workouts in a black light studio, which is really nice if you're worried about people looking at you :) She also does water aerobics in the summer - yes, she's by far the youngest person but she really enjoys it.
💙💙💙... it’s awesome u tried some different things ... dance is the best .... soooo much fun 😍
I've been doing 5-6 workouts a week since June, trying to improve my mental health. So far mental health still sucks. But I'm still trying.
Moving is the important part! Love the variety and to see you having fun!
LOVE THAT GREY SWEATER IN THE INTRO 😍😍
I am so jealous! I live in Russia, so I had to stop running outside in the middle of September due to the low temperature... I miss it so much. Wish I could just go to the beach and run every day!
You should try out an OrangeTheory class! It’s an intense workout, but SO rewarding when you make it to the end. I’ve been going for a few months and really haven’t lost much weight at all, but my body feels so much stronger and better than it did before. It’s a great way to push yourself and compete with yourself over time!
It feels so cult-y to me!! I don’t think it’s the workout for me 😩
Feeling so happy for you! Exercise is so good for your mental health and happiness!
I love this, it inspired me to take a different approach to working out. This looks soooo fun 😬
I love water aerobics! Deep water boot camp was one of my main forms of weight loss when I first started
JAZZERCISE AINT PLAYIN'
Gurl it is NO JOKE!!! 😂😅
Ohh loved it, you made it look so easy, I need to do sum exercise for my mental health, a do love a nice walk but need to really push myself into doing it,,, depression sucks ☹,,,,, keep it up ladies you both looked to be really happy n enjoying yourselves xx
We are struggling with the same thing lady. Never mind having a 4yo and 2 jobs...I’m struggling just to get through the day sometimes.
I love your positive message in this video!!
:) (Technically the class is now called “Cardio Funk” as it’s less Latino music & more Pop/Rap music)
this was an awesome video, very inspiring!
I love how youtubers weeks are 5 days and not 7 😂 and this isn't shade towards carrie, because every youtuber does this
Thank you for validating yourself!!! A crazy good example!
That new sweater looks great on you. Hugs Donna 🎃
🥺💞💞💞 ily
You look great with and without makeup! Almost seems like two different people, both gorgeous btw
Love the no-makeup look!
I did this too! I went to the gym every day. But only for a week 😂 then went back to 3-4x a week schedule. I love cardio & weightlifting 🏋️ 🙂
This is such a good video idea!! Might copy you if I can find the motivation hahahha
You are so kind thank you 🥺❤️ they’re from urban btw!!
Dance fitness is the only exercise I do now, it's so much fun! You should also look into U-Jam and Groov3 as additional dance fitness formats - I know they are both offered in L.A. and I think you'd LOVE those classes as well! :)
I LOVE your hair! It looks fantastic! I'm pregnant and my hair has been suffering because of it so I will need to try this!!
