Really good film, similar experience for me growing up in Vancouver as an asian. Didnt like how Tom Power asked to further explain the challenges he had coming to Canada, like you watched the movie lets not downplay that he experienced racism. Shim explained it without hurting white peoples feelings.
Australia is a very multi-cultural society, I run into people every day that weren't born in Australia, and don't know anyone who's not accepting of people who have come from another country. Maybe try to expand your network of friends, you'll find people who'll accept you... 🥰

I saw this at TIFF and cried. As a Korean-Canadian, so many scenes and dialogue were relatable. Planning on seeing again. So glad it is doing so well!
