You know the lack of substantial views for these series is kind of a boon for the viewers who actually do enjoy the series. My assumption is that we are getting these massively long episodes because he is simply trying to get the content out as fast as possible since it isn't doing well on the channel. So that's one positive, at least. Hopefully it doesn't screw up the algorithm too much.
Either this or there are no way to logically split playthrough. Megastructure levels is short so they are put in same video as one location. And you can't split locations puzzles so they are one video. Same with gold puzzles
Yeah, it definitely needs to be fixed. I solved it the same way, except it was the first thing I tried and so I solved the puzzle in about 30 seconds without really even seeing what the puzzle was supposed to be about. The fix is pretty easy too, just move the grav-pad slightly further away from the gate.
@@dawiddulian2403 You set up the inverter on the side with receiver (so the source laser is blocked by wall), then you walk to the receiver with the gravity projector and use to send the inverter to the other side, and then use it again to get yourself to the ceiling
No way, it’s a cool little bit of cheese. I think they did patch the level that introduces the intended solution’s mechanic tho - Tyler circumvented the solution there too 😂
Honestly, I think this game is one of the most perfectly-tuned puzzle games for average fans in recent years. Aside from a couple of really stupid puzzles, it’s always clever without requiring too much mental juggling. Glad you’ve given it the time, even if it’s felt a bit easy for you.
see this is the first time this entire series ive been 100% engaged, for the rest of the series with the puzzles being so "simple to understand" i was getting less and less intrigued with each section, but this one actually made me sit and focus, and actually think a little bit more. thank you for the hour long puzzle marathon! was a fun watch :D
I really like the rearranger because of how you progress through the puzzle, you have several puzzle elements on the swappers that you can't use right away, but as you go through the level you get fans, which are like "currency checkpoints" where you can "buy" another puzzle element to get farther into the level
I am pretty sure the solution where you jumped around the fence using a cube+grav shifter was unintended. I am pretty sure my solution felt cleaner, I think it involved moving the grav shifter to the other side by using its own grav ray while being on the box
I feel like your comment about how it’s strange that Miranda is “uniquely inspired” at 49:40 can probably be explained just because she’s completely separated from everyone else. The only people she knows are Cornelius and Athena. She hasn’t been exposed to the society and culture of new Jerusalem.
Man that puzzle where you knock a laser off the edge to change from red to blue was my absolute favorite, it hurt when Tyler didn't mention how amazing the puzzle was lol
To whoever edites these videos, well done. Good job. Alone "THE TELL US PRINCIPLE 2" (42:36) was enough non-puzzle non-tyler being a genious entertainment for the episode lmao
30:00 there was a flash game several years ago that my friend and I played called muddy heights, which was specifically about how far you could launch a portapotty
I solved "Outside the box" without the cheesy gate skip; you can bring the gravshift to the other side by putting it on the box, then bring the box back to the swapper, and finally use the gravshift to move the inverter while you're between the gates
34:05 not the intended method. You can move the gravshifter by putting it on a box. And its intended to use the grav shifter to move the blue/red converter from next to the barrier to the area it connects and swaps the barriers.
34:00 pretty sure that was a cheese? I'm not sure what the intended solution this, but it probably involves changing the position of the invertor using gravity shifter... I don't see how that would work out tho
I cheesed it in a different way that I think was pretty funny, if you get the box on the swapper, the grav shifter beam leading up to the finish and the inverter powering the receiver. just get on the gravity wall and jump OVER the blue wall. took me like 1 minute to solve it lol.
I really hope Tyler enjoys the series and will play it to completion. The only reason I haven’t followed it so far is because I need to watch his old Talos Principle series!
I think Pillars of Ascension is my favourite puzzle in the game. It's not overly difficult, but it's happy to let you lock yourself out of a solution if you don't carefully plan every move. Very unique layout, as well.
25:53 As a person who is TOOOTTALLLYYY not a fan of tylers vidoes and who is from norway i can confirm that this is TOOOTTTAALLLYYY true (okay but fr i love the videos im certainly a fan, maybe even a windtunnel)
honestly i found that this game was just easier than the first game in basically every way, but my read on it is that the game was easier because it was designed better (nothing like that awful recording mechanic), i do hope for them to make a dlc with properly nightmarish puzzles though
At 57:40, you having to jump that tiny fence ledge is really smart level design IMO, as it prevents you from by walking into a active fan by mistake by backing up. :) To me the quality of this game has seemed amazing, even if I agree that (for me) the puzzle design is on the easiest end of things.
1 hour of content let's goooo Loving this series! Enjoy the puzzles and enjoy your input while engaging with the questions and plot posed! Between Talos and Backpack Hero, we are truly in the #notmymayor arc of the channel
My personal favourite type of puzzles are those where one connector is used for 2 different purposes simultaneously, and you have to cause interference to toggle between states
55:16 This is an ultra-rare event of a wild Tyler raging and shouting on his gameplay. When I first heard it, I was like- Hey, Hey, Hey! Bad plushie! Bad N plushie! You go back to where the others are now, Serial Designation N! Can't you see I'm commenting right now!? Uh- sorry for the inconvenience, reader. Anyways, back to watching the video!
I've found these comparable, but not harder than endgame puzzles in Talos 1. Gold and Gehenna puzzles in Talos 1 were insane. 33:57 Definitely not the intended solution, you are expected to bring the gravshifter over.
29:30 you did that one faster then i did. But then i also did it while exhausted. Since i just wanted to finish off the last ones that session. Ended up stopping for the day shortly after as i was too tired to concentrate. Its one of the few you can easily trap yourself in.
I would suggest re-playing the puzzles you cheesed, if you had to run quickly it's guaranteed to be cheese :) And quite a few of them are more interesting the intended way, (the one where the gate goes up and down for example, as well as Outside The Box ofc) Oh, and "Outside the box" was cheesed by you, there is a MUCH more elegant solution. As well as a even MORE cheesy way of doing it, you can do what you did with a running jump, no need for a box... Overall I have been loving this series, the editing is great, and I really appriciate the balance between "lore"/conversations and the focus on puzzles, the bottom right window solution especially, thank you very much!
I got scared that you canned the series after not posting it yesterday. If I recall, you said that series uploads would be on a 3 day schedule, with each day being dedicated to something. Very happy this series is still here.
Oh, and there is no fall damage in this game as far as I can tell, I think you simply are imagining it existing due to a... unfortunate ... forced reset in a certain area where you were forcibly reset even before hitting the ground, and there was a different, safe, way down that needed to get unlocked. Pretty counterintuitive IMO.
I cant remember its name, but there is a game where you play as a portapotty launching as far as possible. Like that neopet baseball bat one, or that penguin one. With fart rockets though I think

True
I can't believe how someone can summarize my thoughts so perfectly in one comment, I thought the exact same thing including the algorithm thing.
Pretty much yeah. I’m just glad he didn’t dump the series like with the first Talos
Also longer videos mean more ads mean more revenue so you don’t need as many views. Which works with dedicated fans on this series.
Either this or there are no way to logically split playthrough. Megastructure levels is short so they are put in same video as one location.
And you can't split locations puzzles so they are one video.

You did totally cheese "Outside the Box" - something the devs should probably patch.
Not only did he cheese it, but that puzzle teaches you a niche interaction that will likely be relevant in the DLC
What is the correct solution then? I'm really curious

That's the one problem with Tyler, he's become to good at puzzles
He's too good. Honestly I like easy but rewarding puzzles
I was fully expecting this series to end. I’m glad I was wrong
Same, i was afraid it would become a livestream
@@enlillebitteorm3837 don't scare everyone like that
55:16 If you pause just right, you can see the exact moment Tyler's heart rips in two!
NOOOAAARRGGHHH
The most epic, ultra-rare, and most amazing thing to happen: Tyler screaming
33:57 well, thats definitely some outside-of-the-box thinking.
Not intended though
I hope Tyler is having fun while making these videos too. Because i have fun while watching these.
55:18 That is the scream of a man feeling pure emotional PAIN
The connector gave Tyler some *emotional damage*
My god, you solved some of those puzzles fast. You can tell even through the editing that you reason everything out so efficiently
An hour long Aliensrock video is just what I needed
The golden puzzles were so elegant and imo they added just the right amount of complexity to make me super hyped for the DLC.
see this is the first time this entire series ive been 100% engaged, for the rest of the series with the puzzles being so "simple to understand" i was getting less and less intrigued with each section, but this one actually made me sit and focus, and actually think a little bit more. thank you for the hour long puzzle marathon! was a fun watch :D

It's a really interesting way of tacking the increased quantity of object types
I am pretty sure the solution where you jumped around the fence using a cube+grav shifter was unintended. I am pretty sure my solution felt cleaner, I think it involved moving the grav shifter to the other side by using its own grav ray while being on the box
I was about to say, just saw his solution and that was not what I did not what I believe was intended since he did not use the inverter
This game was the absolute best!
Hope you play more of this kind of games Tyler 😃
50:31 I like how there is a secret cyan laser in the game (and probably magenta and yellow as well)
55:18 HOLY I was not prepared for that scream
55:17 is the greatest scream yet!
34:10 I guess you thought outside the box.
fr

As much as i love puzzle games, you almost always manage to solve them slightly faster than i do. That's my favorite part about watching your videos!
Man that puzzle where you knock a laser off the edge to change from red to blue was my absolute favorite, it hurt when Tyler didn't mention how amazing the puzzle was lol
that scream at 55:17 is LEGENDARY
Its sad that this series isn't doing that well because I look forward to it very much and check for new episodes every night
After playing through the golden puzzles myself it is extra delightful to see you solve so much quicker and so much more creative!
To whoever edites these videos, well done. Good job. Alone "THE TELL US PRINCIPLE 2" (42:36) was enough non-puzzle non-tyler being a genious entertainment for the episode lmao

Yes, it's TTP2 again and it's golden! What a day to be alive
Ive really loved this series (mostly for tbe story). I'm glad you're continuing it
Is Cornelius's profile pic of him and Athena and Miranda? Has nobody in New Jerusalem ever asked him "Hey, who's that third person?"
He probably swapped it to that after the discovery of Miranda and who her parents were
I really enjoy this series! Thanks for the content Tyler, you’re the only person I’ve ever Patreoned for.

the 8th puzzle you did around the 34minute mark. you cheesed that one. just saying if you want to find the proper solution youll need to revisit it.
It’s because he completed the puzzle that introduced the mechanic (Stowaway I think it’s called), without discovering the mechanic.
