I just found Lucy on TH-cam a couple of months ago. She is probably the best female vocalist that I have ever heard. Dennis, I have watched every reaction that you have done on Lucy and it is obvious that you admire her very much. I also appreciate your reactions to Geoff Castellucci, who has become my favorite male vocalist. Keep up the good work and keep on reacting to both of these great artists.
Wow! What a beautiful cover of this classic. Does this girl breath? Breath control on steroids. Please continue showing this songbirds wonderful videos. I'm hooked for sure. Thank you for a great show and comments.🤠
Lucy has such a beautiful, rich, warm voice and always hits the notes, whether high or low. She is such a joy to listen to and watching her videos, actually hearing that amazing voice coming from her beautiful face and seeing her expressions as she sings, 12:07 is just a blessing to me. Thank you so much, Lucy, and thank you, Dennis, for the reaction. It was great!
Hi Dennis Here is some information about Lucy. Lucy has been singing since she was 7 years old. Chris Broom an award winning songwriter and owner of Cavendish records the Label Lucy is under .said that he was introduced to Lucy when she was 13 years old and he saw in her the potential to become one of the greatest vocalists of all time ,Lucy´s pure tone and natural musicality stood out she is a uniquely brilliant story teller. and has the unique ability to completely connect the audience to the songs. He asked her to record one of his songs One Day" When Lucy does a cover she never just copies the original she always puts her own spin on it and many say her versions are better than the originals. She is Staring in a musical due to open in London´s West end next year called Rosie this is being written by Chris Broom the opening was delayed as Lucy was still at School and could not star in it.
Well Done Dennis great reaction to Lucy. She is fantastic what a voice what great control I don´t believe there is anyone to touch her .Personally I am not a Whitney fan But I am a Lucy fan ,Her other Whitney cover Run to you is excellent. One of my favourites is her cover of Bette Middler´s "wind beneath my wings" But any of her songs are great .Maybe try an original from her Forthcoming musical Rossie ."Broken dreams " springs to mind. Thanks for continuing reacting to Lucy. Another great song Lucy has covered "Footprints in the sand"
Dennis, a little more. You discussed how Lucy held a note, paused, then into "I" of the next phrase. Lucy has very good diction and has a clean break between words at times. She punctuates a word or phrase. With her, one can actually hear the lyrics. Several reactors have mentioned Lucy's clean pronunciation. Just my thoughts.
Lucy just released ‘Evergreen’ yesterday it already has 65000 views and includes the longest note I’ve heard Lucy sing at 14 seconds ( yes I timed it) well worth a review !
Dennis, that little black dot was a chromakey failure on the virtual background. As usual, Lucy was dead-on key. The place where she went to the peak I picked up on something. On each of those high ones, she does a slide up to the perfect spot, like the fast slide up hit a ceiling. You have to listen close but I noticed that on the 2 really high ones. Even then, Reach but no Screech. Perfect.
You have hit the nail on the head there is no screech with Lucy she can hit the high notes with ease and needs no vocal gymnastics. If there is one thing that Lucy has that many don´t that is control.
Another good response from you. Lucy sings this great song in her own distinctive style - with a lot of feeling. We all know Lucy's vocal range: she would have absolutely no problem covering Whitney Houston 1:1.💖 You've been wanting to rate Lucy's version of 'Can't Help Falling in Love' by Elvis Presley - go ahead.😉
Hey Dennis great review. Lucy did what she always does perfection. The beautiful Lady and best vocalist in the world in my opinion. Maybe you should step back a while into her history and react to her cover of “Run” when she was 14. It is outstanding plus she does a lot of vocal runs that will amaze you. Then I would suggest “Someone You Loved”, another outstanding cover. Thanks for supporting her.
Hi ya Dennis - as always, thanks for your reaction to another of Lucy's performances. In my opinion, this version is better than both Dolly and Whitney. Thanks again - stay safe and healthy!
Dennis, Lucy didn't do the lift you expected, but remember, Lucy doesn't copy but covers, making each one her own. However, the last two words (love you) were soft and tender. They tore me up; pierced right through me. Lucy does that a lot. After belting etc., she brings us back down to earth with a perfect couple of notes and a very smooth tone. If the waterworks haven't turned on before that point, those last few notes open the faucet. Listening to you as I typed, you mentioned how she holds notes sometimes. Another reactor said Lucy pulls or stretches some phrases or notes, making some phrases standout as beautiful and really bringing out the meaning. Lucy just has a way.
lol no money shots when you interrupt them all in mid stride, either bad timing or self absorption. Thumbs up for Ms. Thomas a truly generational talent who's star is rising without a zenith
Well spotted! 🌑Haha 😀 3:54. Good you were paying attention, not like many others… 👍 I’d never noticed that. Strange. Reminds me of the camera hole on a mobile phone, not that it is. But know these video productions are amateur created on a shoestring or zero budget and made quickly. Personally that adds charm to Lucy’s video especially the earlier releases.
Just my opinion but Lucy’s cover of Run to you, from the Bodyguard, is one of her very best and she would only have been 16/17 when she recorded it. Treat yourself by watching it.
By your logic (not mine) Whitney ripped off the superstar that is Dolly Parton! In my opinion ( all I can give!) Dolly and Lucy tied on emotional connection with the lyrics with Whitney some way behind. As for singing ability I’d rate Lucy and Whitney equal but different Lucy having the reach , Whitney straying into screech territory too often for my liking. My overall rating 1st Lucy, 2nd Dolly, 3rd Whitney, made all the more remarkable by the fact that Lucy is still developing her skills.
Hey martinrima...I think you need to stop with the trashing and underrating of one of the most talented young singers of this generation. I think millions of people would agree with my opinion.
@@5pmevans Dolly & Whitney do not sing the same way. My comment is in regard to singing STYLE. Far too many singers model themselves PRECISELY on the style and manner Whitney sings. They'd do better to find their own. Be 100% real and true to themselves.

Dennis, heads up -- Lucy Thomas put out a video of "Evergreen" (Streisand song). You got to take a look at it. It's fantastic.
30 secs in, couldn't do it - sorry just sounded like a cheap knock off of a TRUE superstar. People need to stop with the Whitney Rip offs! Maddening!

Dolly Parton wrote this song, Dolly was fine with Whitney covering it. Lucy’s voice is amazing, why deny that?

Lucy is SO much better than the OTT Whitney Houston version. I hope Dolly would like Lucy's version !!
