Bale was only frustrated there not cruel. You can easily tell the difference between frustration and cruelty, because when people are cruel they come up with very personal and direct insults, e.g. about someone's appearance.

christian bale stays in the accent because its hard to do accents consistently. best way to do it is to constantly do it and live it. if hes doin a role with an accent, hes obviously gunna be trying to do it right, hence his staying in character. this one really isnt a baffler limmy. the liam payne one> yes. this? from an actor that regularly does an amazingly convincing american accent? and most of his career being based around said accent? not exactly a fuckin brain teaser to work out this one is it
