I feel baseball stadiums end up the best when there's a space limitation, it forced the architects to go out of the box and bring a unique approach to each project unlike any other in the league.
you get that in any down town. I have been to every Wolves game for a few years and every Twins games for a few years they stand out there anytime any place.
nothing will be like the old HHH Metrodome..The plexiglass was on top of left outfield wall..Little Big League was filmed there..The retractable seating that was backed up for baseball..The Twins won two World Series there..💺🌆🚜🎥⚾📙
Hi. Why didn't Minneapolis build a stadium with a roof? I live in Toronto, and the baseball team here is thinking of building a new stadium to replace Rogers Centre, but it's cold here in April. The Rogers Centre has a retractable roof, but doesn't have real grass. How does Minneapolis cope with April games? Do they play on the road for a month before going home? Or do they just dress warmly? I'm intrigued.
Hi Robin, most players wear long sleeves or just tough it out. And about the roof and such, Think of it this way. if you were the owner of the team and you had to choose between A) An open field with no roof where it snows for 1, maybe 2 months and then is beautiful the rest of the season, or B) add a roof/dome/retractable roof for 20-50(USD) million dollars more, which would you do? That’s the way my father taught me, hopefully that helps!
Greetings! I work with schools in South Carolina creating content for the classroom. I was wondering if I could use this video as a resource on lesson plans I am creating. Basically, I would have students watch the video, and then answer questions related to the content. Would that be okay?
Yeah, I would rather have the team move to San Jose (because it is closer to me) but either way, I want to keep the team in the Bay Area. So if Wolff sells it to Don Knauss and they build a new stadium in Oakland that would be great. Now the Giants just have to win two in a row (actually 3 in a row), and I'll be happy ;-)
if bud selig delays the move to san jose this winter Lew Wolf said that he will give up the plan to move and sell the team im just hopeing that day will come oakland already has a probable future owner waiting in don knauss chairman of clorox and clorox field would be perfect especialy near the water next to the bay where they found a potential spot i believe it would be around 35,000 seat park check out cisco field on the web its wolfs dream who knows whats going to happen untill that day comes

Watching this 10 years later and I love seeing it built right next to the highway 😂
Awesome video! The new Target Field looks so cool.
Cool video!! This is a much better place for baseball than the Metrodome.
Went there for a three game set vs Philadelphia in 2013, very nice park, some sketchy people outside of stadium though.

Wow, those outfield seats are steep!
How much footage did his camera have and how long was the camera in the same position for

Because the fans whined and complained about the Metrodome. They wanted on outdoor stadium with real grass.

Thomas Cox yes
Thomas Cox and a train track that's still in use
Thomas Cox a parking lot
I wonder if they built a Target Store inside the ballpark?
Good stuff. Now hopefully San Jose can build a stadium for the A's (probably won't be quite as big though).
Man reading this makes me feel so depressed now
why did they only build half a stadium

The House that Joe Built.
At least the Minneapolis PD didn't go after George Floyd here at Target Field.
