Randomly was suggested your video and had to say was definitely entertained especially as a Mariah lover since day one and because of the discussion of hearing the stem-masterings of her recordings. Along this subject matter may i suggest and I would love to see you react to first the original / album version of my favorite Mariah Carey song "Underneath the Stars" from the Daydream album and then listen and hear a nice creative use of the stem separations in this remix "Underneath the Stars Smooth Harmonies Remix" (th-cam.com/video/QH_dGnY4mUY/w-d-xo.html) especially because it shows just how much Mariah is involved with ALL the vocal arrangement and mixing of the final product (she does all vocals i.e. The double vocals, the whistle harmonies, etc. ) Granted , i think the remixer added an acoustic guitar track to it but this was a time when she definitely used the whistle notes as subtle embellishment instead of as the climax of the song. It's effin' brilliant!
Also if any one says she's lost her prime voice, tell them to listen to first (my favorite deep cut/ non album release) "Slipping Away" from 1995 (the B-side of Always Be My Baby) and then go watch/listen to her off-cuff random moment from this year's London Royal Albert Hall Caution concert where she sings a snippet of it and tell me its not close to the original key and sounds flawless!!!! For the Songbird Supreme!! LOL

@@TheQueenOfLambily she re-recorded all of the songs from the demo. That's why she said she preferred the demo versions of VOL and Someday. She said the background harmonies were better in the demo for VOL because the cheap mic she used picked up more of her vocal texture.
