The anachronistic respawns in between firing demos are trippy. Not objectively good or bad, just fun seeing them out of order. Was surprised seeing that Angler shield hold up for more than two shots against the Thunder, so used to watching kinetic armor slough off when I'm using a Thunder build. Btw, next time a 4L bot comes out, might wanna give the Haloes a try again. Alot of my buddies are reporting good performance with those things on the Nether, but due to an Arma III fixation I haven't been able to give them a try since the last update. Either way, give 'em a shot sometime, and as always keep up the quality content.
Sweet, been a while since we've had one of these equivalent cost comparisons! For its price, Thunder is easily one of, if not THE single best weapon there is. Glad to see it's still able to hold its own here against the latest brawling weapons.
These cost-effectiveness comparisons are the meaning of balance. I wonder if it also holds up for Devastator vs. Thunder, Havoc vs. Orkan, or god forbid, Cryo vs. Orkan (over-nerfed and forgotten solely to sell Cryo). At any rate, Stake and the others do deserve a buff to actually make their shields *part* of the weapon rather than something that feels added like an afterthought: if you just press and don't hold the fire button, the harpoon doesn't retract and instead sticks to the enemy, and any damage dealt to the shields is redirected to them (like Leech ability). People have also suggested that, in this way, it should be possible to exert pulling force on the enemy or let them pull you.
No, many stuff in War Robots is overpowered and the developers are more focused making money with this game. But this game is good. Just simple make the weapons damage fewer + the balancing better and we get then more fun in the battles and a better game experience.
Thunder looks golden......but only if your opponent was not moving and had no mods or pilots or drones equipped.....which is not the case in actual combat. I dont doubt thunder as a devastating close quarter skirmish weapon that can end the encounter in less then 3 direct shots, but as a shotgun it lacks the ability to ignore energy or absorb or physical shields plus mods and pilots can add additional effects like recovery which coupled with mobility of targets almost always means that all the hardwork of the gun ends up going to waste if the opponent gets out of range even for a little bit. Stake in comparision is the absolute trash of all legendary weapons that you either own like a pro or abandon completely. I have to say i absolutely hated this weapon when i started out. It has terrible range and there are almost no robots with armor capable of withstanding close quarter combat that i could equip this weapon on. The only robot with enough mobility and armor to use this weapon in close combat is the lynx. I would have abandoned this weapon completely if i didnt get a lynx just before i gave up. Then they rebalanced this weapon and in exchange for its absolutly dismal range they gave it the power to ignore all energy and absorb shields which literally makes it unstoppable in close quarter combat. Every attack is a guaranteed damage as long as you can keep dancing around your target. Thunder can't guarantee a hit even at point blank if the opponent has sturdy defence. This weapon is what makes the Lynx a nightmare and this is why lynx is still the most frequently used and the most broken robot in the game. Ofc if i did not get my argument through to anyone....just remember: this demo had a maxed out level 12 mk3 thunder compared to a stake still at level 10 mk1 imagine
In my opinion stake is better for range, hit chance for enemy stealth, good dps, inf ammo, and for ignoring shields while thunder is better for dmg, and for faster firerate
awesome work . . as usual.. could you try a little bit further say 70 or 100 m?? think stake will do MUCH better than this test (or thunder do much worse might me more accurate way of putting it😘)
Hey aygir, give the futuristic nucleon/quarker angler build a try. Dont have to be a video but ive been running one with one of each amplifier with the trixie pilot (all defence skills with dodger to get the healing back faster) and its damn good. I also use the paralysis drone for the extra damage and defence on module use.

Many stuff + upgrading is expensive together. Price Damage Comparison is more and more important for many War Robots players.
