Lol your goats act like dogs, I hate goats, they stink... And I drank some of their milk and vomited profusely, many many years ago... it was horrifying But I like your dog like goats . lol. Great job on cleaning up
I was watching your video, and wanted to mention an important fact for when you're out and about on your property to help you deal/protect yourself against cougars. If you take to loggers, you will learn that they paint eyes on the back of their hardhats. The reason for this is that cougars will not, usually attack from the front. They usually attack from the back, and go for the neck, hence why the loggers paint eyes on the back of their hardhats. Just an important piece of information for you to think about, especially if you're on your own.
You did good👍👍 if you let your chainsaw warm up for a minute or two it will run better and last you longer. It’s a tiny cylinder on them and they can warm up faster on one side causing extra wear and early failure.. just a tip👍👍✌️
Greg, Katie we love your channel Diane and I. We now reside in the greater Montreal area. Keep your shins up. Take it one day at a time. The sacrifices will pay off in the long run. Sounds like preaching doesn't? But its true. Your hard work and perseverance are a testimony of your courage. Never forget, your dream is like a precious stone. It needs only shaping and polishing to reveal its beauty. By the way, congratulations on clearing your mortgage.👍 Tip; Next time, try warming up the plastic pipe with a torch to help remove the fitting.😉 36K, growing and growing...👏Oh! I almost forgot, even after 44 years, we still fight at least once a month. The secret is to not stay mad at each other when you go to bed.😊
Maybe you could build a trail where the water line runs. Could you insulate ( possible electric heated line for the future and let the water run all winter. Also a small torch to heat the hose to get them loose.
You might try marking the hose path so you can find it in the spring and so you know where to run the line to get to the summer creek. I'm thinking blazing the trees maybe with spray paint?
Current video quality is quite good. Am a new viewer to your channel, so I have nothing to compare it with. You have a lovely place, and a great bunch of animals. Makes me quite envious. Wishing you best of good fortunes with what you are doing.
If you take your gravity fed water system wrap it in an electrical 12 volt defroster cable it won't freeze and then you can bury it but put the black all around it after you do that and you should be all right that's how my daughter did it
It make me anxious that your alone for week end . Then going deeper into the forest with dog cat & goats has me EXSTREAMLEY anxious!! So afraid for animals " to harm mull you ! Or that you could slip fall get hurt & no way out ! Left open & vaunrabel to the eliminate and animals. Your awesome strong woman! May godbless you always n keep you safe n well
Katie bring a small propane torch with you to warm the hose aroung those stubborn connections you will be amazed how this helps. Keep up the good work!!
1st time Watching !!!You're doing a good job you can tell you're a hard worker But you're working for yourself and it all pays off for you and you know it done right
Love the new go pro!! I was cheering you on when you were trying to get that hose off. The goats looked like they were having fun as you were stacking the wood lol such good helpers lol
WOW! You're absolutely amazing! I just can't believe your husband left you alone in such an off grid location! You are an awesome lady! Be very careful and I wish you a blessed life...... Oh, and what a great attitude........
28:05 in video get the drone out and find the best route to run the line / sit still for ten minutes and just let you mind catch up to the problem at hand
“Things get forgotten when you’re juggling a lot.” Man did I need to hear that today! Been struggling with making mistakes because brain fog lately. This idea of self compassion helps.
Katie, look at it this way, you did so much more my wife couldn't even turn the key to start up the tractor or even know how to use it. Katie, you got girl power that's for sure.
I'm looking for a chipper shreader to put my pine needles thru for bedding for my chickens to be more self sufficient and use what we already have plenty of...would work for goats to free bedding plus it helps in the breakdown of the needles for compost for the garden
I have been enjoying the build. Waving 👋🏻 from Pismo Beach California. You guys need to put up a CB radio or Ham radio. Great people out there and great for survival. Have a great day. 133 Operator Ken.
Well done for your efforts. Camera footage very good. Can I suggest that in addition to using eye protection when using the chainsaw or other noisy equipment that you get yourself a set of ear defenders, otherwise you might get hearing loss or tinnitus in later life. I speak from experience.
Hello guys. Love ur guys videos. Thxs for taking us alone on ur journey. Be safe as u are alone this weekend. ❤️✌️The new GoPro doing great. Very clear video
What a positive difference some clean up makes. As to the water line, EXCELLENT ! Your tenacity is unmatched. The new go pro 10 is terrific. Clear picture. Thanks for sharing.
As a guy who has a pretty high degree of OCD, I am so happy that you began cleaning up around your property. Love watching you guys building your home, thank you for sharing Katie.
This is the first time I've watched your video and I love it. You sure work hard. You have a beautiful setup. Keep the videos coming I'll be watching. Thanks Jim
Run the bucket flatter to the ground which will smooth the roadway YOU can do tractor work which is a skill learned by doing To clear the waterline run water without faucet which will allow water to push ice out instead of melting ice through faucet
Hey K, don’t sell yourself short. You did great. Almost got the water and road looks good. Camera is eh. Don’t like the fisheye lens. Trees bend inward and things look distorted. Poly Pipe is cheap. You might consider running a second line. Install a Y connector with two ball valves. Also consider cutting a path with tractor up to water sources. Nice burn piles. Thanks for sharing
Katie, you did an awesome job cleaning up! I can't wait to get out and do the same. I love your goats. So excited to see your home and roof garden, will it be flowers or vegetables or both. Enjoy your me time, everyone needs it!
This is my first time watching your videos… Great to see you doing things on your own. Beginning of video shows freshly washed eggs, however eggs will last much longer if you don’t wash them 😏
Sooo, what was the puzzle piece that was missing with the water? Hmmm.. 😊 Tractor manipulation is definitely learned experience, spending te on one is the first step, you'll get the hang of it. I certainly would've appreciated the effort, as I'm sure Greg did. Using the sawdust I've seen at the road mixed with the road base will help dry it up. Love ya'll ❤️

I would like to know who is doing the filming while you just walk around with perfect makeup and nice and clean.
@@gordonkistler4640 🤣 it's called a tripod. And no make up here, however I do shower occasionally
Lol your goats act like dogs, I hate goats, they stink... And I drank some of their milk and vomited profusely, many many years ago... it was horrifying But I like your dog like goats . lol. Great job on cleaning up

When u get those lines placed again mark the nearest trees along your line. It will help you keep things where they belong.
That shot of the goat on the boulder backlit by the sun was masterful.
If you bury the hose 48 inches Deep there will be less chance of it freezing up also let the end of the hose drip slowly. It worked for me for years
I know NOTHING... But, isn't there an easier way to get water... That looks like such HARD WORK ! 😁 GOD BLESS YOU for NOT GIVING UP ! ❤
Yup are a total warrior lady!👏👏👏👏☮️
You did good👍👍 if you let your chainsaw warm up for a minute or two it will run better and last you longer. It’s a tiny cylinder on them and they can warm up faster on one side causing extra wear and early failure.. just a tip👍👍✌️

You should have used a torch on it to soften the pipe so it could come off. The joints
Maybe you could build a trail where the water line runs. Could you insulate ( possible electric heated line for the future and let the water run all winter. Also a small torch to heat the hose to get them loose.
Thanks for having us over!
Girl you are a hard worker!
Katie, so glad you did not give up on the hose!!
You might try marking the hose path so you can find it in the spring and so you know where to run the line to get to the summer creek. I'm thinking blazing the trees maybe with spray paint?
A great attitude in what proved to be a frustrating day. Appreciate your moxie !
Great job working on the water line Katie
The clarity with this camera is spot on . Katie you are so much more relaxed in this video than any other that I’ve seen. Great Job ! 👍👍😊

I would love to live like this
“Things get forgotten when you’re juggling a lot.” Man did I need to hear that today! Been struggling with making mistakes because brain fog lately. This idea of self compassion helps.
Katie, look at it this way, you did so much more my wife couldn't even turn the key to start up the tractor or even know how to use it. Katie, you got girl power that's for sure.
you are amazingly practical
Yup push on barb fittings are a pain. I usually cut off just past the barb, and put new connectors, they are fairly cheap.
Great productive workout! Pity about the water. Tractor work and clearing some of the yard was great! Enjoy your dinner.
Thanks!
Thank you 😊
2 pairs of pliers always helps
Very good Katie, I enjoyed your time!
Great job cleaning Katie
Pretty red dog, looks like a wolf.❤️
I'm looking for a chipper shreader to put my pine needles thru for bedding for my chickens to be more self sufficient and use what we already have plenty of...would work for goats to free bedding plus it helps in the breakdown of the needles for compost for the garden
Thats a great idea
I think you did pretty well, you did what can do.... nice job
Can’t say this girl is not a worker!!! Great job Katie

The colors are great, it’s crisp and clear. Is a nice picture. Also I really love the barn.
If you own eye ear protection i recommend it as my father has two hearing aids JS up to you God bless from Canada eh
We still have a few feet of snow here in Rainbow Lake Alberta. I miss living in British Columbia where I was born and raised.
Katie, love your Vid, great work and determination
Hey Kate, I'd be happy to come work with you when Greg is away for the weekend .😉
Nice thumbnail, you're 🔥. ♥️

As a guy who has a pretty high degree of OCD, I am so happy that you began cleaning up around your property. Love watching you guys building your home, thank you for sharing Katie.
Eie . !
Hi Katie. The camera is nice and clear. Really enjoyed watching you with the spring chores. Love the goats following you around. Well done.
Glad to see you cleaning up l have see a lot of yards with so much junk around l wonder how they can live that way
Great job on that massively long water pipe, wow! Really enjoyed seeing your progress and your willingness to try things on your own. Fantastic video.
Thanks
Me Too!! She worked So persistently & Hard!So Proud!!
So Proud of U u Felt Like U did Nothing, but U did a lot
Great video Greg and Katie
This is the first time I've watched your video and I love it. You sure work hard. You have a beautiful setup. Keep the videos coming I'll be watching. Thanks Jim
Camera is great and you are doing a great job. Thanks for sharing.
it's amazing what you find once the snow melts
Loving your "helper goats"!!!
Nice work, Greg should be proud of you for cleaning up the homestead ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
I love your get it done attitude! If plan A doesnt work you switch to plan B. You were persistent and you tried which is all it takes. Great job!
I wanted goats till I saw this now I want them even more haha
Hard working Lady!
Great job all by yourself Katie you're amazing 👍💕
45 gallons on a old washing machine 9 water jugs .
Keep a lighter with you at all times. Heating the rubber will make removing it much
easier, but you have to work fast so that it doesn't cool or melt.
I always cut the line then clean up the connector s with a razor knife
Loved the effort you put in today Katie. Keep pushing on, everything you’re doing is one step closer to your goal.💯❤️👍🏾😀🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Greg will be proud of you. Even if you don't succeed at a project , a least you put an honest effort in trying.
You did great!!! Well Done for keeping Going 🙌🏽🙌🏽👌🏽
Cut the waterline at a coupler ,score the 3 " on coupler with a utility knife and remove Rerun waterline as desired and reconnect to coupler
Run the bucket flatter to the ground which will smooth the roadway YOU can do tractor work which is a skill learned by doing To clear the waterline run water without faucet which will allow water to push ice out instead of melting ice through faucet
A cracking episode, proper real. Well done Lady.
Wouldn't it be easier to have 2 lines that come together at a Y valve so you can just switch the water source there?
Have a great week you two, your goats make me laugh, although it must be frustrating for you lol 😂 😊❤️🇬🇧
watching the water line video if you drain before the first freeze and the line is full of air then restarting in spring might be easier
Great Job Katie you really worked hard at trying to do the different task you set out to do. Thanks for brings us along. 🙂😎
The nice thing about the gopro is you can change how wide it looks. I also don't like the fisher effect, we'll have to play around with the settings
Beginning of video shows freshly washed eggs, however eggs will last much longer if you don’t wash them 😏
Katie you did a wonderful job,
I have lived off grid and I had heat tape around my water lines and I put the insulation around it. Your always going to have frozen pipes. Bummer.
