I love this effect, because it makes you think you really accomplished something when the machine goes nuts. Elvira's 'Scared Stiff' pinball machine manipulates this same effect. Does anyone know of any other machines that do a similar 'fake shut down, then machine goes hyper' to indicate the start of Wizard Mode?
That would honestly make me think that I've just broken the machine or something. If you've ever played a pin with a less-than-reliable power grid, a machine just going out like that usually means it just reset on you. ...And with a score as high as this guy had, that machine would've been kicked around a bit. :P
@djargus Here's what I can think of: *Jurassic Park's "System Failure" *LOTR: After beating "Destroy the Ring" *The Shadow: After beating "Final Battle"
That would honestly make me thing I've just broken the machine. If you've ever played a pin with a bad power grid, a machine just going out like that, usually means it just reset on you. ...And with a score as high as this guy had, that machine would've been kicked around a bit. :P I would also like to say that machines with modes that just light everything are awesome. Black Knight, Twilight Zone, Addams Family, etc.

Also, in Lord of the Rings, the machine goes on the fritz after finishing Destroy the Ring.
That is an unbelievable score, even for a 5-ball game. I wonder what his final score was?
very funny effect :D
Sadly I don't think this is a Wizard Mode.. just a score award then regular multiball.
