I meet these "Awesome Newfoundlander Band",..back a few yrs ago now...in St.John's Airport, flying to Calgary,..with 2 small girls ..1 in me arms "Ballin"..and da udder not wanting to get on "Da Plane"!..as I boarded,...with both kids just a whalin...Kevin,looked at me and said..."How's ya now Mom?...and I replied with.."Oooh Me Nerves!! is rubbed right Raw!!!...Everyone on that flight,..laughed sooo hard...They helped me with my 2 children, right to Calgary Airport!! ...Still Thanking you all,..for savin me "Last Nerve"..lol..{My Daughter Hailey, would sing your"I'm fruit loopy song,"..You Guys are Awesome!!!!
I just came home from the Buddy Wasisname and the other fellers concert and this was the first encore they played and I was in tears because I too used to sing this song when I was just a little girl. To this day this is one of my top favorite songs. I'm happy to be back in Newfoundland, nothing like it.
I remember I told my best friend that my family used to always sing this to me as a kid and I absolutely HATED it (yes, another Sarah). He lived below me in another apartment, so once he left for TWO DAYS and put this song on blast. Locked all the doors. Oddly enough, after that incident, I've come to really like the song
not a person in the world could sing this like Ray ....hes the man .....this is great thanks for the post ...........now it someone would post O'l wooden shack ..that would be nise aswell
incredible. someone who knows how put this in my TH-cam favorites. I've never heard it but the lyric is eerily timely, relevant, and whoever you are who thought to do it, thanks. The mother tries to kill her daughters love. Really kill him. Really bad mother in this story. Really evil jealous witch.
Thank you. We had another 15cm last night. Between being outside shoveling and going for a walk later I'll hopefully be able to get some more good pictures of all the snow.

I love when Ray sings the old ones in his natural dialect - nobody does it better. And nobody plays various "squeeze boxes" better.
I remember Kevin and my Uncle hanging out when I was kid. One of the things I miss the most about Newfoundland is the music.
Every time I hear the same Sarah ( my middle name too) I just HAVE to sing this song! lol it is too great to pass up!
