    David, just wanted to let you know that I watched your 100 question videos for the PMP 7th Edition over 4 days, and I took my PMP certification test this morning and passed it with flying colors. Your questions along with my role as a Senior IT PMO Manager made that possible. Keep doing what you are doing for other PM professionals!

    I passed the PMP in November and find PMI's response to this topic a little vague, at best. I've quizzed ChatGPT on a variety of different project management scenarios and find it to be a valuable resource. Also, now that you're able to use it as a browser plug-in, there are ways to get more current and targeted results, or even direct it towards a specific set of PDF files. It will be interesting to see how these tools are integrated into various project management software suites in the near future.
    FYI: You can prompt it to act as a scrum master and then ask it specific questions or scenarios. The way your prompt is crafted makes all the difference. I haven't asked it to answer questions as a PMP certified project manager, or to use PMBOK standards in it's responses yet.
    Something to think about and keep up with!

    I’m using this to help with pmp study hall application. It’s surprisingly accurate, and when it’s not, it stops it’s self then re answer. And I i say incorrect it will actually rework and tends to be correct second time, with a healthy explanation

    Hi David, I could easily argue in favour of Chat-GPT in regards to the missed question. The explanation of the "correct" answer is based on a defensive strategy of helping the team out and controlling costs but ignores the resulting delay in delivery and benefits. Chat-GPT just prioritises a more aggressive approach by adding more testers and aiming for faster/higher business benefits. In a competitive market this is likely a more successful approach so I favour Chat-GPT's answer 😉

    I currently use it sometimes.. specially when I don't have explanation and only I know the correct answer. And the way it explained it superb. Few formula based questions, where the formula needs to be manipulate, it makes mistake but if you feed correct information, it gives superbly articulated explanation if the same question is repeated in future. I find it promising. And moreover I recently started watching your videos, have hardly any time left for my exam so going through the 200+15+100 sets ... finding new ways to solve ... wish me luck, hope will come back with good news.

    Astoundingly shocking result. I see that in our roles we could keep ChatGPT as a pocket coach to advise us in real situations for as long as we are capable of formulating the scenario in a clear and concise way. However, at that point, who is not to say that we already would know what the correct way forward would be?
    A scary thing to think about is - Can ChatGPT replace Project Managers? Maybe as along as our teams are composed of humans....we still can keep our jobs secure.

    • @davidmclachlanproject
      @davidmclachlanproject  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was thinking the same thing. I think even now it would make a good coach, and this is just the beginning - it will only get better.

    • @tetragrammaton1
      @tetragrammaton1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a tool. It cannot function as a leader or manage conflict or work with individuals to coach and or supervise or use objective reasoning which is fundamental. Like a raci chart, or a kanban board it only facilitates some logical processes, like a hammer to construction.

    For the second question, I think project is closed so it requires a new business case for a suite of projects to manage the product to keep it relevant and acquire project charter approval. The business case can include the rationale for suite of projects and the project charter with inclusion of budget for the stable team. Answer should have been A. Without business case and project charter how will you get funding when the project is already completed. Also there was no mention about change request.

  • @PURVESH77
    @PURVESH77 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hello david. I read that securing funding is not function of the project manager. Could you please clarify?

    Still I believe there should be a human touch with the project management . ChatGPT can be an effective tool but ultimately it's the human touch makes project management is an art.

    • @scottmoorby3176
      @scottmoorby3176 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@davidmclachlanproject Having used both, I think GPT-4 is far better and the data bears that out. For example, GPT-3.5 scored in the 10th percentile on the Uniform Bar Exam and the 40th percentile on the LSAT, while GPT-4 scored in the 90th and 88th percentile, respectively. Outside of your videos, GPT-4 is the only thing I used to study and I passed with AT in all domains yesterday. Based on the test questions I saw, I have an extremely hard time believing GPT-4 would not pass the PMP Exam. Many thanks to you for being the biggest part of my success, by the way.

    I am PMP since this year (March 2023) and I can guarantee you that you wouldn't have the time to copy paste the question nor verify what chatGPT said to you, so cheating is useless. ChatGPT is not yet smart enough to 100% rely on it (check for yourself, it's highly dangerous sometimes) to have the PMP but it can be of a help for your PMP learning activities. The time during the exam is so tight that even if I had the right to have my notes or the PMBOK I wouldn't had check anything. It's too intense.

    No it cannot. As an experiment i grabbed some practice questions and tossed them into the Chat GPT and like 50% of the time it picked the wrong choice or did not understand the choices. It seemed it understood the question. But not the answers.

    • @davidmclachlanproject
      @davidmclachlanproject  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting! That was not my experience (as you can see in the vid). Did you get the same detail in the answers ChatGPT gave you? That was what surprised me the most. Perhaps it cheated somehow 😂

      @@davidmclachlanproject I did give detailed answers. But lets say i knew the correct answer was C. But it would pick B and elaborate further. Then i would tell it. The correct answer was C. It would apologize and then elaborate why C is correct. I will go back and try to trick it and tell it it was wrong when he picks the right answer and see if it refutes me or just goes along with it.
