Godzilla Battle Line: Mechagodzilla 2021 Meme Matches

- Mechagodzilla 2021 was possibly the all time most requested character to join the game since launch. Now we can all stop asking Sir Melee when he will be added. I used MG21 a lot in ranked this season, and while he looks absolutely awesome, I gotta say he's not great. There's a couple glaring issues holding this guy back.
Mechagodzilla is a 6 cost ground unit with very high stats. He walks slow which is good for a tank like him and it is easy to build a decent push with him, especially on London. His attack changes depending on how much health he has remaining, with each one dealing more damage than the last. At good health he does a single target tail stab. At around half hp he does a wide punch that has aoe and the sickest animation out of the three. And at low health he does a very destructive missile barrage that has aoe as well. Unfortunately he cannot target air units, but the missile barrage can still hit them. The missiles are quite powerful too. MG21 can splash an entire push with damage comparable to a G89. It's so satisfying when he gets multiple shots off. But that's where his pros end.
Mechagodzilla's range is absolutely atrocious. He basically has to clip through his enemies to hit them. This I believe is the worst thing about MG21, even worse than not hitting air units. Range is a super important stat in this game, possibly the most important stat. The fact that MG21 has to sometimes eat 3 hits from an enemy before he can even get in range is terrible. And what's worse is he has no reason to be that close. The attacks themselves reach much farther, so why the hell is he getting so close to them when he can just shoot? You don't see King Ghidorah getting that close to an enemy with his giant aoe attack. It's just lame and doesn't make any sense. Speaking of his attacks, the tail stab sucks obviously, but it's supposed to, the wide punch has pitifully small aoe, you'll be lucky to hit 2 units at once with it. And the problem with the missiles is, if he dies while using them, they will deal no damage at all. Unlike Kiryu and Minilla who's shots will still land if they die during the attack. This is the same issue that the Air Base has, where if the helicopters get destroyed the missiles will disappear. Why do some projectiles stay out after death while others are removed? It's just unfair, bad design and should be fixed.
I also think MG21 is too similar to Kong, and also outclassess the poor monkey in general which sucks. They're both 6 cost bulky ground units with aoe. The thing that MG21 has over Kong is that he hits buildings so he can stall better, and his missiles can hit air units. I just wish MG21 was executed differently and made more unique. And for these reasons I'm not too much of a fan of MG21. Toho really kinda did the Monsterverse units dirty. They don't feel as polished as the Ultraman or Evangelion units. G21 has a targeting bug, Kong doesn't have his axe and is outclassed by several other tanks, and Mechagodzilla is just a better Kong with horrid range and disappearing missiles. What a letdown. Now these units can be great with a few small changes, obviously, but until then, I would recommend you save or invest your resources elsewhere.
Also, I am NOT taking a look at the new leaders by the way. They're fucking garbage as usual. There is no point in doing a vid on them when I'm just going to be running the same units I like with a useless leader that contributes nothing to the team for the 3rd time. I'd much rather save my time and sanity. But heres a quick review for those that care.
G21 leader is an abomination against god. He has the same attack he does as a unit, so if he changes targets, which leaders do a LOT, his damage will reset. His ability reduces the cost of close range units by 1, but it costs fucking 4 to use. Meaning, you need to send out 5 close range units just to make up for what you spent to use it in the first place! There will almost never be a situation where this comes in handy. What the fuck were they thinking?
MG21 is better but not great. His ability inflicts a debuff on fliers so they can be hit by ground units. This is an awesome ability but why the hell does it cost 4 and have a 120s cooldown? It's not a game winning ability or anything like Kiryu and Eva. It sucks that you can only use it twice per battle. It also only effects the fliers currently on the board, so if your opponent sends out any more they wont be affected. I hope they improve this ability or release a new unit with this debuff cause we really need something that hard counters the fliers. They've been running rampant for so long it's starting to get old.

Mg21 rework idea:
2.5 seconds after deployment, mg21 will run forwards, he will detect units a long range and shoot barrages of missile at them. When close, he will perform a dash punch with hollow earth energy. The punch stuns and knocks back the enemy unit for 3.5 seconds. If units are at close range, mg21 uses his tail to attack. If at medium range, he will punch the enemy with buffed AOE. Mg21 is now a 7 cost.
Hopefully this rework aims to make mg21 more fun to play and make him actually viable

I think one way we can subburf the majority of this unit’s problems (being range) we can give it the ability to dash much like gigan final wars and apply stun in a aoe
I think the stun part is a bit too much, but allowing MG to dash would be a welcome addition.

These monsterverse monsters got done dirty, so here's a rework of the monsterverse units.
Kong:
Health: 2400
Damage: 400
Reach: long
Search range: wide
Targets: Ground, Air, Leader
Attack speed: 2.1
On kong reaches below 15% he will wip out his axe and each swing does 200 more damage each time and it has a big aoe.
Godzilla(2021)
Health: 1500
Damage: 800
Reach: Really long
Search range: Wide
Targets: Ground, Buildings, Faciltys, Air, Leader
Attack speed: 2.6
Godzilla will fire his atomic breath and it will increase every 1 second by 2x damage and if there are mulitple units around he will spread his atomic breath, dealing more damage, he will also go to one target to the next like zeton.
Mechagodzilla(2021)
Health: 3000
Damage: 2500
Reach: Meduim-Long
Search Range: Meduim
Targets: Ground, Buildings, Faciltys, Air, Leader
Attack speed: 2.8
Mechagodzilla will hit for massive damge with his punch and once he reaches 50% he increase his speed of attack and does a combo with both of his punches and his drill tail witch can stun up to 2 seconds. He will also fire missles that do 5x more damage to air units, and also will not interfere with his attacks and he will increase the amount of missles and speeds of them once he reaches 50%. The final abilty he gets at 50% is his proton scream witch is a stronger verson of Godzilla(2021)'s atomic breath and acts the same way.

You need to get duplicate pieces from expeditions, or buy them from the daily sale for 25k tokens. You can refresh the shop 5 times a day by watching ads. Login bonuses may also give you free pieces too, so be sure to log in every day.
Whatever you do tho, dont buy the 2000 gem maps, or any fragments from the shop. They're an overpriced scam.

Kong leader is good, but the other 2, not so much, so here's my rework of mechagodzilla and godzilla
g21 leader:
Abilty: Hallow quarry
Description: Covers the entire map in smoke blinding enemy ground units and giving air units a lowflying state for 50 seconds(applies to air units in deck as well)and reducing their damage for 30 seconds(applies to air units in deck as well) and deals 4000 damage in a circle and gives ally units a healing buff, ally ground units a damage buff, and Air units a speed buff.
Cost: 1
Recharge: 100 seconds
Blindness is were ground units can hit their team mates, and with the low flyingstate to the air units, they could hit the air, killing a push.
Mechagodzilla21 leader:
Ablity: Hallow earth energy
Description: Mechagodzilla estracts hallow energy from the earth, giving every debuff to the enemy team, -500% damage, slow, low flying state, stun(lasts 5 seconds) and slow drains health, and every biff to your team, 500% damage, 500% faster speed, high flying state, and a fast heath regen. It decrease enemy leader energy to 2 for the enitre 50 seconds the ablity is active, but it is only avablie once you reach over time, and it constanly puts out units. You will be varable for 50 secs.
Cost: 10
Recharge 3 mins
