My mother lived just at the front of the school in ur urbanización for nearly 15 years, i absolutely loved going over, i actually liked so much i went over in 2002 to watch world cup and didn't come back to Ireland for 5 years, i got a job in my mums bar in quesada, some great times in altos di limmonar mostly good, i loved spain, some changes around now as i can see from your videos, i couldn't of handled that bad Spanish lock down, as they say it would of send me loco, best of luck with the channel, rip mum 🇪🇦🇮🇪
Thank you Ger Dublin. So glad our videos are bringing you some happy memories. The urbanisation in Altos del Limonar must have been quite new in 2002. Just been looking at the history tab in google earth and there's a big difference in the pictures between then and now. We love it here, the location is great for travelling and there's plenty on the doorstep. Thanks again for watching, we have now done 17 videos so there'll be a few familiar places for you to see as we don't go further than a bike ride from Altos del Limonar. @@BetweenTheLakes ye my mother actually bought heres off the plans, place was a building site for a while but they had show house complete to show finished article, some great times ✌️
@@gerdublin7379 We bought in 2017, I bet the prices were a bit different in those days. They came down a load after the crash in 2008 but have been going up a bit for the past few years but probably not at 2002 prices yet. There may well be another price crash with all that's going on today. We need to get rid of 2020 and get on with a new year without this bloody virus that's causing mayhem with everything.
Another great video... Cycled to that observation tower a few times & then to La Mata beach, keep them coming & if you see a mid 50’s couple on little bikes it might be us!
Hi Yogi, Yes I am/was a professional cameraman/editor/producer for live events covering mainly entertainment and music events/concerts. The last few months have been very difficult for the live events industry and it has forced me into early retirement. This is why we sold the house and downsized to be able to afford to live without wages until my state pension next year (August 2022). We are very appreciative of the government grants to get us by which we are extremely grateful for. Glad you are enjoying the channel. I think the drone footage adds another dimension to the production value of the video, and it's good fun to fly. I'm very careful where I fly it and follow all the drone code rules.
Can you please tell me the names of the urbanisations between the lakes as we intend to come out to south costa Blanca to look around different areas with a view to moving permanently from uk .
The main urbanisations between the lakes are El Chaparal, San Luis, La Siesta, Limonar, Altos del Limonar, La Torretta 3, Las Torretas. these are he ones north of the city coming out on the CV905 road. The best bet is to look at Google Earth and you will see all the areas and their geography. Good Luck, Mike and Yvonne
