This video to me embodies the true art of street skating. As someone who started skating long before (like in the 80's) there was a skate park in every suburb, I appreciate the utilization of one's everyday surroundings to do things for which they were never meant. No hate for the skate park kids (or the skate park scenes), but this just feels more genuine to me.

I remember when I was broke as shit and couldn't afford a board so I would just wake up and watch this video multiple times pretty much every day. Watching this video was the closest feeling I could get to actually skating. Wastell would've made this video fucking perfect!

Skateboarding covers every aspect of metaphorically mimicking life - pushing through adversity (learning to ride a skateboard[No hands!]) while maintaining grace and style - and allows almost limitless possibilities in pushing physics, gravity, convention and poise.. lives turned around, artists found.. Scooter kids or people can scooter on day one. bunny hop day one. the rest of the 28 tricks within 4 years.. expect the ridicule.
