I like Dylan. His vocals and stage presence are extremely brutal but he's not obsessed with having a dark persona in interviews like say, black metal bands sometimes are. He's a nice and non-phony human being. A nerd for extreme music who is doing it because he's really passionate about the style of music his band plays. Ethan from Primitive Man/Vermin Womb is like that too. A very peaceful genuine guy who just enjoys making extreme music. The absence of posturing and trying to come off as dark and confrontational is refreshing. It's the art that's brutal, rather than the individuals in the band trying to cultivate a dark image for themselves. Reminds me of the few times I saw Godflesh live. G.C. and Broadrick are soft spoken and polite. They appreciate their audience. They'd say something like "Thank you so much, we really appreciate you coming out to see us" in their soft English accents before launching into a song that could probably rupture someones brain if they stood too close to the monitors. Art is king. Manufacturing cults of personality around oneself is stupid. These guys are about the art.
Polyfusia dead ass, I’ve loved metal for years among other genres but the whole behavioral posturing kinda gets in my craw a lot. Another down to earth band is war bringer those guys are jus so cool
This shit's so true man, metal musicians who have a stick up their ass are just cringe at this point. To see them perform dark things and create dark things because there is undeniably a darkness in them but at the same time trying their best to just be human beings that have love and respect is seriously the most endearing thing. It makes the darkness all that more potent knowing there's a good human behind it
It's funny you guys see it like that. Dylan is seemingly the same down to Earth, nerd for music who is beyond passionate and works his ass off for the craft. I had the pleasure of being in a computer graphics class and he was a total badass, him and another young man. They sorta took me under their wing and helped me as a freshman and we're just as into the music as they are now. Good to see genuine people like him succeed at what they love doing. Keep going🤘
The whole "attitude" thing has been cliche for years, I'm like yeah I skate, I love puppies, and old school punk rock and death metal,,,the whole thing is played, like who cares..
Bruh the only footage I’ve seen of this guy is of him invoking the most hellish forces from his guts on stage, he’s so nice and I love that he has that switch 🤣
Dylan is such a champ. Definitely one of the most unique and diverse vocalists in metal/hardcore today. Totally conveys this live too - such an experience. It's really nice to see all these thoughtful and well produced interviews and record picks. Keep it up EG!
meet dylan in japan in 2019 and i recivied my sallary one day before so i bought alot of tshirts and when i paid the tshirts i saw a pin and told him that i want the pin too and he replied: you can have it it yours. Greatest guy ever
Love the fact that he mentioned Unyielding Love. Saw those guys at a local show like 2 years ago and it's still one of the coolest and most creative shows I've seen!
@@evilgreednet Yeah i saw that Longsleeve were the only one thats left as an preorder. Ordered mine the day they came to shop! Thanks for the fast reply. :)

This is quite possibly the most true thing I have ever read.

Best band I've ever seen. Came up and made their own sound. Seeing them live was an entirely different experience.
Wheeping Choir is fucking amazing. Great Interview. :)

yeah Unyelding Love is great, saw them in concert last summer, it was incredible
He seems like a really nice dude
Good Interview. Can't wait to see them with Converge
Very well spoken. Happy he's representing the diy scene.
Whaaaat!? Lingua Ignota, The Body and Full of Hell!!!! I'm so excited!!!!
And again, the most extreme and brutal bands have the nicest, kindest and most loveable people.
Honestly he is so hot.
I have him very attractive. He's so sweet in interviews but on stage he is a total FORCE. Saw them live at roadburn 4 times. Damn. x
This interview rules!
Intensive care, disciples of christ, unyielding love, knifed out of existence.
What did you film this on? Looks awesome well done
Great interview 👍
Good interview! Btw, when the shipping on new FOH merch starts? (Longsleeve) 😉

Such a swell, boyscout-type fellow.
Where can I get that Man is the Bastard shirt??
Awesome interview! I went in expecting it to be kind of cringe like most smaller metal interviews are but this was perfect. Great questions.
Harvey Milk Hell Yeah
Bring back Xin it to win itX
Disciples of Christ have the drummer from Magrudergrind that didn't want to play metalic hardcore and move to NYC before putting out their last record
