Barry Newman would be impressed !! NiceV-point Challenger !! Thanks for not being afraid to drive the car the way Dodge meant for it...pedal to the metal !!
CTPerry is the man! 1970 RT is out of this world 42 years old car and still the king, in both looks & muscle, says one proud owner of an original 1990 RT/SE 440 Six Pack, RT rules for ever!
A project car can be around $5000, maybe less. Complete 72+ challengers can be found for around $50,000 but 70 and 71 Challengers can be worth 6 figures.
Front wheel lock.... Me and my father are rebuilding a dodge challenger 1971 at the moment.... it will be done this summer, it will be white, R/T 340 high-geared can't wait to drive that beast!!
I had no idea. Personally, I like the bumblebee stripe over the longiutal one. My own 70 Challenger R/T (may it rest in peace) was green with a white BB stripe. If the designers didn't dream it up, who did?
My wife was driving a challenger and I a pinto. She was a nurse and I a cop. She made 4x more than me. I still can not figure the attraction 37 years later? The best days of my single life!
it costs less to make a 440 or stroked 500 generate 700 horsepower. hemis are expensive to buy parts for. a hemi crate engine is not the most bang for the $. but some people love the hemi no matter the cost
hemis are awesome but they are also 850 pounds with iron heads and you can build a big block 440 or stroked to 500 so that makes 700 horse for less than a crate hemi which wont make that much
Now here is the original 1970 dodge challenger RT with 426 hemi motor not even touch Way better the hell cat I hope if there was a hellcat and 1970 dodge challenger was sitting becide each other say both for sale for same price.i no what would be in my yard would be 1970 dodge challenger RT not 2018 hellcat Reason why 1970 dodge challenger RT with 526 hemi or 440 wedge 4 speed because thay will never loose value but the hellcat will know my cars very well when it comes to dodge chev and ford
If you hook a six pack hard there is no way a 383 can keep up if they are both stock engines. I owned a 71 Challenger with a 383 4V 4 speed and I wouldnt even take on the heavier GTX especialy if there was money involved
@86mustang07 Yes. Dodge made Challengers from 1970 to 1974. Dodge came back with a wind-up toy piece of crap in the 80's and hoped for some sales by labeling it "Challenger". In my mind, there were 2 challenger disasters in the 1980s, one involving a space shuttle.
I love burning rubber, but power braking to do a Burnout while standing still is so stupid. People do that with Civics. Just mash the pedal and burn rubber up the street, it's far more entertaining.
I am positive that it doesn't. I know this because I am the one holding the camera and that is my father driving. has a 440 in it with a Pete Jackson gear drive.
I have my own '70 challenger rt blk/blk...& I would blow the doors off yours... and I could out drive you any day.. I just don't do standing burnouts for the cheers of a bunch of back woods hillbillies...sorry just not my style Jethro..
LOVE the way it stands up after he locks it up
Barry Newman would be impressed !! NiceV-point Challenger !! Thanks for not being afraid to drive the car the way Dodge meant for it...pedal to the metal !!
I love dodge challengers i fell in love wiht them ever since i watched vanision point
so sick love the older challengers!

my dream car!
I'm so happy there's no bumblebee in the film. The designers of Challenger hated the stripe, it wasn't their idea at all.
DAMN.... did you see the back tires trying to overide the the traction of the front tires when he fucking floored it...... bravo bravo *bows*
the best sound ever

Did you get it done?
Nothing in this world comes close to a classic American V8 muscle car! Especially the Challenger R/T!
It rides and shines like a Mopar!
@ctperry06 Agreed, challenger R/T has been one of my faves for a long time
I love the white 70. You don’t see many and this thing is awesome
The black bumblebee stripe seen here would have been a nice addition to Kowalski's Challenger
No it wouldn’t. It would ruin the clean simplicity of it
I had no idea. Personally, I like the bumblebee stripe over the longiutal one. My own 70 Challenger R/T (may it rest in peace) was green with a white BB stripe. If the designers didn't dream it up, who did?

BAAAMM, wow, sounds awesome
my dream is to drop a 8.4 SRT-10 on one of these, and have a frame off restoration done.. luv this car, true legent

Right on CTPerry! There can be only one! RT for ever!
WOW! Kowalski is back!
@thefirestorm10t; i think it might be timing gears
you're correct. Pete Jackson gear drive
Challengers / Chargers The best muscle cars.
you are totally right!
What year is this footage please .

Kowalski is Barry Newman's role in the film Vanishing Point.

This is F*cking Beautifull!
that is pretty cool...i love the mopars, along with the smell of burnt rubber
During this vid, that challenger's in it's prime

@86mustang07 Challengers were made from 70-74.
Probably the best car ever made! wait, probably?
You know your cars !!
The soul challenger!
how much power is this make n my burnouts r bout identical
the motor was probably 475hp. had a big cam. strong motor
You're right indeed!!!! :) Greetings, Sir.
did you use a line lock?
yes we did
Yea lol. Good thing I like the 72+ body style a little better then lol
lmfao, thats exacly what i was thinking:P
A crate hemi won't make 700 horse? But a 440 or 500 will? What are you talking about im not exactly sure
there is a Vid on You Tube of a 70 Challenger running top speed on the autobahn. search for it or checkout my favorites
I would love to be there drunk as hell
Kowalski is proud...
Could just be transmission whine, but probably s/c'ed.
sounds like it's supercharged
@WolfishNuckajuh
If it makes you feel any better, it IS a hybrid car...burns gas and tires XDXD
sweet
thats whats up
I love burning rubber, but power braking to do a Burnout while standing still is so stupid. People do that with Civics.
Just mash the pedal and burn rubber up the street, it's far more entertaining.
except when someone puts it in the ditch or into people. burnouts are entertainment for the crowd
Omg greats
jesus better have one waiting at the gates or im not intrested
Hehe me too!
"Kowalski's" ? is POLANS
Damn tree huggers
@jpgbrookes no
..click, 10 4 ...we have reasons to believe that this car has been supercharged.
I am positive that it doesn't. I know this because I am the one holding the camera and that is my father driving. has a 440 in it with a Pete Jackson gear drive.
Go Kowalsky go!!!!!!!!

@ctperry06 its to bad the people who care about polotion back then cut them off cause their big V8 Hemi engines were gas gusling monsters
Freaking animal this car...
A white '70 Dodge Challenger & a naked chick? Sounds like 'Vanishing point' to me.
@mostintelligent007
