Two genuinely beautiful ladies, on the outside and the inside, just lovely!! And wonderful actresses as well!! Sarah is still active. She has a cameo as a villain in the 2018 Supergirl series. Sarah is every bit as good as she ever was!!!!
@@4seeableTV She was anything but. She couldn't have been more thoughtful, measured and restrained in her comments. She is a true example of British class and refinement.
Ms Teshmacher! So glad to see her! :) Valerie is great :) On a side note: the reasons she gave for hating the new film (new at the time) is the same reasons I rarely EVER go to movies. It is not the same artist's creative medium it once was. It is pretty much entirely about entertainment and wowing people to bring in the $ and keep up the numbers. I think it's bullshit and very sad also.
I thought Sarah was great at answering the questions in such detail, she has replied to my questions on twitter often and is someone I have always admired as a actress. I think some people misunderstand her from some of the comments, she is a very plain talking lady that when people see past the tough exterior is a really nice lady that has a lot of time for her fans and has a wonderful humour. People would moan if they got little information from these Q&A conventions but Sarah always gives detailed answers and interesting stories.
@ashcarl116 Donner DID film Luthor's fate. After the final confrontation between Superman and the baddies, the villains and Lex luthor were arrested by the Arctic Patrol and taken away. So Superman doesn't kill the villains either. The scene is included in the Richard Donner Cut DVD in the deleted scenes section.
Texas Comic Con is a rather small convention. It was even a wonder they had a microphone and PA system for the audience. I think we had more equipment in that room then they did. In fact, the guest were going to use our microphone that was just lying on the table until they set up that little PA system.
At 29.03 is the first time I've heard any kind of story behind Margot Kidder's differing looks in Superman 2. In most of the film she's almost like a different person, different hair, slightly different face, voice is off and her personality even seems different. Then in some scenes or moments you can see she looks, sounds and acts the same as in the first film. Even though I know they changed the director before the second film was finished I've always found the how different she looks in the film really bizarre.
Richard Donner had shot 70% of Superman II before he was replaced by Richard Lester. When you see Margot Kidder looking and sounding different in comparison to Superman I those are the scenes that were filmed later by Richard Lester.
@@quatz1981 I get that, but it's beyond bizarre how different Kidder looks between the Donner stuff and the Lester stuff. Reeve, Hackman, Stamp et al look exactly the same. Kidder, I can't think of another example where an actor looks so different between scenes and also shots within the same scene. Look at the scene when she punches Ursa. The 'you're a real pain in the neck!' line, is Donner stuff, when she smiles at Supes after the punch, that is Lester footage. Never seen this commented on by most either.
@@problemeliminator1343 yeah you are right it is weird. I read somewhere that it was at that time she was having drink and drug problems but who knows if that is accurate. She really looked unhealthy in Superman II.
@danielantino2667 for what I read, Sarah said in another interview that with its flaws she still preferred MOS over Superman Returns. She did, however, compliment the Kevin Spacey Lex Luthor casting when she was first told of the project.
Seriously I just couldn't finish watching it and at 19:20 I stopped. Although I could listen to Sarah Douglas all day long but that fcker between with his dumb arrogant faces and voice is really irritating me. Again he is acting like their biggest costar and he is nobody. I wish some security would come and throw him away.
Richard Booth: Lex Luthor had two assistants (if you want to call them that LOL). One was Ned Beatty who played the bumbling 'Otis'. The other was Miss Teschmacher (Valerie Perrine). They were both VERY convincing in their roles. Especially Otis. He was very entertaining as a bumbling moron!!
mike06052 It was funny because we had placed our microphone on the table and every time, despite telling the celebrities, everyone of them have to pick it up and play with it! At one convention, every single celebrity played with the microphone. Must have been at least a dozen of them throughout the day. Thanks for the comment and subscribe if you haven't done so already.

someone posted this on valerie's imdb listing in the comments section re her shaking: Thanks for the concern, but it's not Parkinson's. It's "Essential Tremor"-- formerly called "familial tremor" or "BENIGN Essential Tremor" but the benign has been removed because it can sometimes be very disruptive. The tremor is the same as what Katherine Hepburn had, but hers was more head and voice while Valerie's is more extremities. It's not associated with any cognitive decline. A Knowledgable Source
"Christopher Reeve is still my Superman" said by Sarah Douglas (after watching Man of Steel).....all I have to say is I love you Sarah Douglas
I didn’t know Johnny Depp moderated this wonderful discussion!
Superman from 1978 Was Great Film. It holds up. "Superman Man of Steel" was not made by great artist and it had no heart!
"MISS TESCHMACHEERRRRR!!!"
SnakeMan227 I love her. She seems so sweet ❤️
So beautifully conflicted between the bad and good guys.

Both were incredibly beautiful women in 1978 and remain beautiful to this day.
I can listen to Ms. Douglas talk forever...loved Ursa!
She has a great speaking voice and perfect diction. She should narrate documentaries.
Love Sarah Douglas, she enhances any production she is in. I.e V, Conan, don't see enough of this great Actress.

Happy Birthday Ms. Perrine!
For those wondering, the Johnny Depp look-alike in the middle is Stacey Souther, Valerie's platonic live-in friend and support.
We hoped you enjoyed it and thanks for watching.
fantastic watch. thank you!
Thanks for uploading this.
Two fantastic actresses
This was an amazing watch! 36:35 mark...oh my! Love it!!
Sarah has such a beautiful voice. I'm sure she can narrate or use her voice in a cartoon. Reminds me of Julie Andrews.
She has been doing some cartoon voices occasionally since 1994. I agree she ought to be narrating documentaries.
Yes fo’ sure, now you mention it.
Sarah is so full of life
Jeez ! - how hard was it to get a microphone for each of them ?

Sounds like they had a good time chilling with Arnie.

I agree ladies.
Nice to see Johnny Depp being the moderator.😂

24:20 Sarah and Valerie thirsting for Henry Cavill 😅

I bet they loved Superman Returns (very much, just like me)
