Don't anyone let any issues with the sound quality detract...this is life-transforming, Christ-exalting preaching. A sermon series which has helped restore my soul at several points... made the very difference to my healing from depression. The variability of Christians as to temperament needs to be better acknowledged as there are those of us more prone. Particular psalms, pastoral epistles and portions of the Gospels Dr Martyn Lloyd Jones has helped me remember are of the greatest value in reading and retaining in the mind. This minister of the Word teaches us to think to the purpose. So thankful to the Lord for all the sermons uploaded by MLJ trust and Banner of Truth.

I didn't even notice anything in the sound, I was so focused on what he was saying. What a powerful truth was preached. Thank you for sharing this!

The mind must be first convinced, then the emotions will follow.

So helpful, we fall short when we allow our feelings to control us.

I have read the Lloyd- jones book on "Spiritual Depression," then secured and handed out other copies...it is what I needed at the time I first read it.

I'm personally convinced that the only think that matters to God is depression. It is his way, his will, his joy, his delight. He curses and crosses, denies prayer, and "laughs when your fear cometh."

DMLJ said in his book. "Many Christians know enough about Christianity to spoil their enjoyment of life, but it often doesn't go any further than that."
Well that's because it is God's will to bring suffering and sorrow. To ignore prayers and punishment those that seek him. Unfortunately for us there is a sort of sadism in the very nature of God to get enjoyment from punishing. This is how he glorifies himself, by making miserable.

Jesus Christ is the God of depression. Depressed is his will and sadly, his delight. You can see it all through the gospels.

4:35. You can't just blame Satan. Satan doesn't ignore prayers, Satan doesn't control Providence. The issue is with God.

I doubt the man had a single day of depression in his entire life. And yeah, he was a happily married man.

Depression always follows after reading this Calvinistic heretic Jones.

Calvinism is perfectly RIGHT! It's not Calvinism that is depressing, it's just that God likes to bring all sorts of suffering upon the world as a punishment.

Arminianism puts the Sovereignty in man, Calvinism puts the Sovereignty in God, where it actually is.
