You gave me the idea of putting CH men price on my other hand. I've CH men prive in a decant too but it has never convinced me so I didn't buy it. Joy Amin OK I tester them and none of them convinced me. I like the opening of F Black a lot for its manlyness while staying sweet but the dry down becomes a little "powdery" like La nuit de l'homme but La nuit is better in this genre. I would have bought it if the top notes stayed during all the life of the fragrance. CH men prive, I don't find it is anything special. I bought a fragrance this month: Prada Luna rossa and to me they can serve the same purpose (I wear Luna rossa now in the fall season and maybe it will suit winter too and to me Luna rossa with the mint have something more special than CH men prive. I wore it while dancing (because it's hot when you go to a dance party) and women love it.

My collection is pretty modest. 12 fragrances. This is one of the favorites in my collection, for whatever reason. Whenever it's a crisp Autumn or Winter Day or evening, or a cooler Spring night, I run to this stuff.

I can get this cologne anywhere in USA and most of the time on discount stores . I got this on sale from Target for 20$ and wow ! Easily compares with a niche cologne and love ,love it .
Awesome review Joy! Just recently bought this one blind and was relatively impressed. Funny you mention the drydown reminding you of YSL Kouros, it actually reminded me of Dior Fahrenheit personally. Can't wait to wear this one again. Love Kouros as well!
The level of smell detection by my nose is very low. I think Uomo by Ferragamo is weak. I have F now but I think the smell is too weak and longevity is below 3 hrs. Do you think F black would be strong enough for me?

Does the prominent Lavender make F Black less masculine? I'm not very familiar with lavender in mens fragrances. Oriental/spicey fragrances tend to work best on my skin so i'm quite curious. As a person that dresses causally, but doesn’t like blue fragrances, or typical shower gel fragrances, but too casual for classy fragrances and too mature for fruity clubbing fragrances, im that weird demographic that can’t seem to find any signature scent worthy buys. Don’t get me wrong I have situational and seasonal fragrances but for once I would like to have an everyday “default” type fragrance that I can blind apply and not worry about whether it’s appropriate or not. Also if I’m going to be in a formal mood the last thing I’m going to use is a cheap, synthetic cologne even if it smells good, kinda defeats the vibe and purpose. Anyways sorry for rant, love your videos man.

Mehn, my order just came in of One million, Gentlemen EDP, Jean P ale mar and F black and I will tell you the F black is by far the best and surprised me on how good it smells when I taught it will be average or bad according to reviews
i smelled it in a store and i instantly loved it but when i brought it i surprised by the longevity of it some reveiwers said it lasts about 8/10 hours but for me its just 3/4 hours max! the smell is very good in cold but the performance is very bad for me.
Not the best when smelled right at the skin, but other than that it's quite a nice scent with very good performance and sillage. I like it more than La Nuit and it's so cheap.
the drydown is much better and you are spot on...from close its not that great and the performance on this is much better than la nuit...personally i feel ch men prive is the ultimate big brother of la nuit ;)
I can see the possible family resemblance between all three of them. Brothers that were adopted out to different families, so they resemble each other, but have different upbringings. Prive for sure got the nice house and solid family life, but didn't grow up spoiled. A classy, put together guy for sure, but not stuck up about it. Confident boss that worked his way up. La Nuit got the same and excelled to start, but got very lazy and works for his dad and doesn't really do shit and still gets paid for it. Still smells great, but need to take a pay cut. F Black got the working family and the grounded lifestyle. Worked hard to get from where he was without the cash assistance and options money provide. He can be formal and quite pleasant, but is a little rough around the edges if you push too close. Hard worker. Prive 10 F Black 8 La Nuit 7
Great video, I like this one I sprayed it on my hand so I could smell it while you reviewed it , been awhile since I visited it , it's finally started to get colder out so I will wear it soon , I have the whole F line , it's a good line so if you have all 3 wear the black winter fall , the original in spring and the blue free time in summer , ferragamo I like this house a lot I have other fragrances by them , I think they are really good for a affordable price , I need to try the new one uomo

yeah i have pretty dry skin even with lotion , i tend to by smaller bottles so i can carry then with me to reapply , i usally do with anything after 4 hours

i just bought some more of this yesterday it is by fav one the best fragrances out there its discontinued as far as i now but you still find a few places that sell it its one of these fragrances that either you love it or hate it most people love this tonka bean fragrance.

Agreed with Jose. I have f black, La nuit (latest formulation) and also guess seductive blue. Guess is more closer to la nuit. Just imagine la nuit but a little bit airy and fresher, cardamom is also prominent but not as deep as la nuit, 90% similarities imho. you're welcome.

This is the best smell for guys. A lot of the talks of other scents are feminized super sweet. I'm a fan of sweet scents but not overpowering gourmand sweetness.

I like the dry down more than the opening in F Black, if you smell it from one or two feet smells much better than if you would smell it closely.
