I discovered Steamboat Springs in the truck-driving simulater American Truck Simulator (ATS) which had recently added the state of Colorado to it's available driving locations (I live in the UK and had never heard of the place). Thought, as I had just dropped a load at Steamboat Springs , I'd have a look on TH-cam for anything about the town. The surrounding countryside looks wonderful. Thanks for your short-and-sweet video.
Hello and thank you for your video . Planning a trip to Steamboat Springs this fall and thanks i found you on youtube. Our first time there so love to know where I should go to see all the colors of the Fall or sightseeing. We ll be there for 5 days and it’s going to be awesome
for anyone not used to driving in our area PLEASE take note of two things. first on our three lane mountain roads the center lane is for passing only as they are used by both directions of traffic. lastly please keep in mind that on our two lane mountain roads all slower traffic is required by law to pull over and allow faster vehicles in your rear to pass by, regardless the speed limit. if for no other reason just to be considerate of locals. imagine if it took you an hour to drive just to get groceries and then get stuck behind a slow vehicle or line of them because of double yellow no passing areas for miles and miles. often out of desperation I've seen folks pass on double lines and nearly hit head on traffic. do enjoy all our mountains have to offer. when visiting just please try to be considerate of locals when driving so dangerous situations and accidents don't needlessly happen.
Even if you’re doing 5/7 over the limit? We were just in steamboat and were passed twice by locals in double yellow zones coming up the hill on 40. One local almost careened into the van in front of us coming back into our lane doing 60 plus turning right on a right hand curve in a 45 mph zone. Bad advice given here. These people can wait for tourists doing the speed limit in unfamiliar country. This is literally the worst advice I’ve seen given for driving in the high country.
Enjoyed my first visit there July 2021. Beautiful, great place for family to reconnect with the outdoors, recreation and nature, and get away from the WiFi world.

@@NativeAngelino well you won’t be able to shoot in Dlog M/10 bit color, but you should still be able to get good quality shots....it’s all about the color grade
We live in Routt county and all I can tell ya is that we are tired of the town council that all they care about is the tourist that takes over our whole town and wearing this stupid mask 24/7 , and their communist views, that’s why we live in Oak Creek and do our shopping in Craig....
