Man, you guys are a hoot to watch and I’m shocked y’all still have your fingers 😂 Thanks for doing this work. It’s so important and most folks don’t have the patience. Your buddy is very skilled.

Good work. My 1890s farmhouse has a small front porch with 7’ posts sitting on foundations stones. 1 corner post completely rotted out and caused the corner of the porch to sag. I used 2 bottle jacks with 4x4s to lift nearby joists and then dug out the corner foundation until I hit a large stone and placed a 3rd jack with a 6x6 to lift the corner under the porch floor level column that extends to the porch roof. I can tell the porch is now supported by the corner 6x6, but I don’t want to lift it too much too fast. Do you think I should lift a little every day or give it more time?

Sounds like your doing it right. Yes I would just jack lift the porch real slowly like a 1/4 inch or so every few days as its good to let the wood your lifting relax and not start to check. Watch some other videos of mine and you will see we jack slowly usually.
