Thanks for this. Made one before my FS-i6x and x6b showed up today. Got it , plugged it in, and changed the setting on the transmitter to PPM, and smartpropoplus saw it right away and started working. Stoked to not have to use the stupid USB cable.
Great tutorial, others are always talking about soldering the ground, I soldered it and unsoldered it from the audio plug and did not see the difference. This is all clear - leave only one wire.
ROFL love the LGR imitation! Clint has an awesome voice and his channel is awesome for old farts like me lol. Now to build that adaptor cable for my flight Sim training.
Awesome...I'm annoyed I didn't realize how simple this is. Just "wiped" one up in about 4 minutes all while uttering "this is why I don't throw stuff away" lol...hope it works with the ppm/ch1 on my fs-ia6b receiver! I'll find out tomorrow during normal human hours. Thanks for the idea!
forgive me but you connect the jack in the mike input of the pc with only the mass connected ... and the usb cable for the power supply of the receiver .... and how can it work?
hey! i can't seem to get mine working. is soldering the only thing that will work? i just wrapped the cables around each other but it has way too many other signals i guess. and also, i'm using a gun type of transmitter. is that even compatible with this? if not, how would i be able to make one for those kind of receivers/transmitters?
Hi. Thans for the video. This should work with any transmitter as long that it has a matching receiver, right? One more question, i use a laptop, so it doesn't have a dedicated mic input. The only thing it has is a stereo and mic plug output (all in one hole) for gaming headsets. Will that work too?
if you have a popup asking you "what did you just plug" select microphone, if you don't i would rather recomment using the betaflight passthrough if you have a flight controller, you avoid unplugging everything in your drone and it's only through one usb!
im using my mox reciever that worked good in my quad till i swapped it out. i have a steady 5.1 volts going to it but in smart propro plus it randomly adds more channels which causes the simulator to flip out randomly. any ideas? i even tried upgrading from windows 8 to 10
nevermind you should be getting 5.10 at least i was using a micro quad lipo charger and it only gave out 5.10 if a pin was shorted. some propritary connector or something
When I do this, the signals are randomly varying all by themselves and I keep on getting different error messages one after another. I am also using fs-i6x with x6b.
Cheers man, yeah without going into super amounts of detail what its basically doing is taking the ppm signal through your soundcard and using the software to parse it into gamepad movements so you can use real tactile controllers wirelessly to practice :p
Is stealing power from a USB to get your signal pin twitchy and the software is like Xanax and the Xanax doctor converting the twitching into understandable "talking" ...all this while you're detached from the situation with the freedom to run away without a cord should you catch a case of the twitches...lol
Kinda makes me wonder why you couldn't use a computer mouse or keyboard 2,.4ghz usb dongle I have a Rc controller that has smart connect it can connect to other car signal controllers
Why on Earth, as consumers, are we having to patch expensive controllers into expensive software via some Micky Mouse, wretched looking rat's tail? So, I a newbie, have to get a soldering iron + random parts I know nothing about, all by mail order - it'll take weeks!
That's interesting. I guess all people have to concentrate on not only keyboard or mouse but also external controller sometimes I thought it mess up our creative idea.
You'd have to do 1 of 2 things, 1 connect it to a computer, translate the input into signal and blast it out using a transmitter or open it, solder to the buttons inside and connect that to the transmitter. I think those are the only two ways to do something like that.
I have no doubt that it will work fine on mac, but you'd need to find software like smartpropoplus to interpret the signal and convert it to gamepad input :)
you should highlight that this ONLY works for Drones , not airplanes or helicopters.....if you want this to work for heli's and planes....just spend the $18.20 for the usb dongle.....i mean , really....less than 20$
I hope your computer and your audio card have a perfect same ground without interference. But nice tutorial !
Thanks for this. Made one before my FS-i6x and x6b showed up today. Got it , plugged it in, and changed the setting on the transmitter to PPM, and smartpropoplus saw it right away and started working. Stoked to not have to use the stupid USB cable.
I'm doing the same thing bro. But, Spp just show up random signals, not detecting my Fs-i6. Is there a firmware version requirement for it?
Thanks for this tutorial! FYI, the SmartPropoPlus url you provided now points to a domain squatter
Great tutorial, others are always talking about soldering the ground, I soldered it and unsoldered it from the audio plug and did not see the difference. This is all clear - leave only one wire.
Good one, Thanks..! One question, Ground on the audio jack is not required?? because i am using it with a Dongle. Thanks
did you find out?
Now I know what to do with my set of Flysky tx/rx. Thanks, great video!

did you get it to work on the ia6b?
hell yes lgr is a good youtuber lol old school restoration was my 13 year old hobby
I can't wait to see AI QC racing....now THAT would be interesting.
oh man that would be awesome haha!
Does these steps works with real flight simulator software.. kindly share the deatils please thankz in advance.
I like that coin u used
I also use coin during soldering
quick easy way to save the desk :P
forgive me but you connect the jack in the mike input of the pc with only the mass connected ... and the usb cable for the power supply of the receiver .... and how can it work?
Great video. I have the i6. Can I use the receiver that came with the controller? The one with 2 wires coming of it?
will it work on chinese e88 drone? lol
Do you know of anyone doing this with a car/truck transmitter to control a racing sim like Forza or GT
Cool video! That LGR plug though lmao. You actually kind of sound like him in that voice
Thanks haha thats my best duke nukem impression since thats what he's doing lol

ohh bro..! I just can do it on my lovely controller FST6. Hopefully, you would do on it (^_-)!

You said you were going to explain how you made the pcb, but you didnt.

Is this method better than using the ppm from the training port?
I can play any game right? Not just drone simulators?
can it play other games except for the drone racing game?
will it work on laptop? my audio/mic line is mixed
What is that receiver? That doesn’t look like anything I’ve ever seen before.
When I do this, the signals are randomly varying all by themselves and I keep on getting different error messages one after another. I am also using fs-i6x with x6b.
did you figure out a fix for this? mine is doing the same thing.
Sadly no. I've given up and uninstalled SPP. Waiting for my simulator cable now! I just hope that doesn't fail too LOL
Im having the same issue lol cant figure it out i give up
try going to menu->system->RX setup->Output mode and then change it to PPM
Did anyone solve this problem?
Can you use any RC 2.4 receiver?
GENIOUS!!! 1,000 thumbs up!
my frysky is otw from bangood , after seeing this video i will be throwing it in a trash can thnx
I have to connect to earphone port if I'm connecting to laptop?
Has anyone tried this on a laptop? Ive tried verything and every cable but this doesnt work on either of my laptops.
Hey ryan, are you going to do game maker tutorials in the future?
Muito obrigado !!!
how can i use this to play arma 3 or something else than simulators ?
That's really interesting how you can do that!
Cheers man, yeah without going into super amounts of detail what its basically doing is taking the ppm signal through your soundcard and using the software to parse it into gamepad movements so you can use real tactile controllers wirelessly to practice :p

Hi awesome. How could I do the opposite I mean control a radio control car with my keyboard pc :S
Will the software work on Linux?
Kinda makes me wonder why you couldn't use a computer mouse or keyboard 2,.4ghz usb dongle I have a Rc controller that has smart connect it can connect to other car signal controllers
I didn't know you needed a PPM output, Would've been useful before I made this lol.
:p
@@rm2kdev looks like pcm will work with smartpropo also
can you make a video about Futaba Reciver Please
Hello! i have an FS-iA6, i can make this with that reciever?
Yeah mate just connect your + to usb red, - to usb black and ppm output to the audio jack will work fine :)
Use CH1 ...ALSO LABELED PPM like he said...
Why on Earth, as consumers, are we having to patch expensive controllers into expensive software via some Micky Mouse, wretched looking rat's tail? So, I a newbie, have to get a soldering iron + random parts I know nothing about, all by mail order - it'll take weeks!
It should have a rechargeable battery and a usb-c connector to charge it and connect with the computer for simulators
Greetings. Let's go thrifting!
how can people have a gaming channel without getting a copyright strike if you're saying that it's not permitted background music from the game?
some games are fine i just dont know about this one :) also sometimes they join networks and the network deals with copyright
ok, thanks, bro BTW nice video
no worries mate :D and thanks! :P
That's interesting. I guess all people have to concentrate on not only keyboard or mouse but also external controller
sometimes I thought it mess up our creative idea.
Which simulator was that??
DRL - Drone Racing League =)
This is cool!!!
0:15 triggers google home minis. idk why
thank you!!!
i want to do the exact opposite of this. I intend to use an XBox controller as an RC Transmitter.
You'd have to do 1 of 2 things,
1 connect it to a computer, translate the input into signal and blast it out using a transmitter or open it, solder to the buttons inside and connect that to the transmitter.
I think those are the only two ways to do something like that.
niiice😁
Has anyone tried to do this on a MAC?
I have no doubt that it will work fine on mac, but you'd need to find software like smartpropoplus to interpret the signal and convert it to gamepad input :)
You are nervous
:)
i dont under stand what you say
Очень жаль, что нет перевода!!!
Да всё понятно, смотри картинки)
