    I use that brand and I always add extra cocoa powder to the jar and shake It up. Coco is healthy and makes it taste extra chocolatey.

    love this brand. start every morning with two scoops, some low cal almond milk, frozen blueberries, and a tablespoon of chocolate morsels (like for baking), and half a banana. SO GOOD. feel great at the gym. then natural food for rest of the day. highly reccomend the ninja blender as it blends your drink in the cup youll drink from

      question, do you mix the powder with the milk and then with the fruits? would that make the milk a lot more thicker, or the same consistency as doing it in water?

      @@dipsectic4658 I use a ninja blender. So it mixed upside down. In the cup I do in this order. Ice frozen blueberries almond milk (like 3/4 of what you want), then Greek yogurt, plus or minus chocolate morsels. Protein powder and enough milk to top it off.

      Yeah. It's simple, have a good calorie deficit, do full body workouts and cardio, and get lots of lean protein, like chicken or whey

    Does the 5lb tub come with a peel off paper seal? I'm skeptical of the one I bought through Amazon. It had heat shrink plastic over the twist off lid, but no paper seal. If that's the norm for their product, when bought from legit suppliers, I'll use it. Thanks in advance.

      Yeah, the 5lb tub doesn’t have a paper seal, just to make sure that the product is legit, try to verify it with the code that is attached to product.

    I don't know how it is with other people.. But I train hard, I also eat properly, I noticed that my stomach grows from the optimum whey protein.. my other muscles don't.. so I only train for half an hour on my stomach.. what if I don't have a stomach? am i the only one having this problem?

    How does Optimum nutrition whey protein compare to GNC Pro whey protein and GNC Amp wheybolic?

      According to the research I’ve done a few years back, optimum nutrition gold standard is above the majority of whey proteins in the market. Due to the fact that many proteins, including gnc were known for using fillers. (Basically Not the exact quality amount of protein stated on the label) Not sure if that’s changed in the past year, but according to many tests done on optimum nutrition they’ve so far been solid on delivering the amount of quality protein stated on their labels.
      And from personal experience I can say that optimum nutrition is definitely a solid protein, and it’s strange to say but I’ve noticed that when taking gold standard my recovery time/soreness has decreased drastically in comparison to any other protein I’ve taken In the past 10 years.

      Depend on how hard you worked to be honest, a regular 30 min workout would be 1 scoop then feed yourself with organic food with protein like chicken

    I've been having serious problems mixing my protein from this brand. I used to buy it all the time but after covid hit it doesn't seem to want to mix anymore. I'm wondering if they took something out of it to make it cheaper for them to make while charging us basically double of what they used to

      Interesting. I would say the chocolate flavor is one of the best blending powders I’ve ever used. Maybe you got a bad batch?

    I have fast metabolism I think. I tried clear whey protein before on different brand but it didn't help much. I believe I perform quality reps cause after workout, I can see my muscle is a bit pump up. But after waking up in the morning, I look skinny again :(. I'm not overweight, I'm actually in the good weight at my height. But I just can't seem to sustain muscle growth. I'm actually not sure what to buy. I'm thinking of taking the mass gainer but I'm afraid i'll go overweight specially on the tummy. I just want to build bigger muscles. Will this product help?

    A gram of protein per a gram of body weight, you say? So I should be eating $90k worth of protein powder per month? :D Besides, it's much more like 2 grams per 1 kg of body weight as far as I know, but corrent me if I'm mistaken.

      For starters, a gram per pound and 2 grams / kg are very close to the same thing. Secondly you would never get all your protein from just protein power. A chicken breast is about 26 grams for example. And finally if you did get it all from the powder, for a 200 lb man it would be around 8 scoops so about $10 / day or about $300 / month. About what you’d spend getting it from eating food, and a far cry from $90 grand. LOL. Anyway, enjoy your day my friend.

      Protein powder is a easier alternative to hit your protein intake. You should not rely on it though

      Probably don't need the isolate or hydrolyzed.... Studies have found there being almost no difference between them and good ol whey protein.

      You gain weight by eating more. If you only want to gain muscle eat 200-300 more calories than what your maintenance calories allow, it would be smart to have those 2-300 extra calories be protein for muscle growth.
      This protein is good for weight loss and muscle growth because it’s low in calories and helps you reach your protein macro goal(or it can… it might not)
      Track your calories…

      @@omarsamy122 just read the ingredients below the label. If you see any amino acids listed then it’s probably spiked, I haven’t seen any ON protein that displays any evidence of amino spiking. That said labels aren’t always 100% accurate so the protein count is probably between 22g and 25g on average. You’re safe with ON Gold Standard

    Nope, not anymore. They have changed the formula, they have removed the aminogen a patened digestive enzyme and lactase digestive enzyme.
    People with ibs or lactose intolerance are going to have gas, bloating, constipation etc issues.
    As a global brand ON should at least be considerate and inform the consumers first in any way without ass-pulling.
    Tip:- add a Banana and fiber to avoid the side effects of this product.

      Depends. Milk straight from frig and drank bothers me but I can consume butter, pizza cheese, and mix milk into fish batter and fry fish, and I'm completely fine. But scrambled eggs (with milk) and milk gravy still bothers me a bit because I don't think the milk gets cooked as good as fish fry. And it's bad! If I gulp down a glass of milk, I'll get so gassy or minor diarrhea that I need to be near a toilet in 2-4 hours.
      Optimum Nutrition Vanilla Ice Cream whey does not bother me at all and I drink it at least 5-6 days a week and always around 6pm. No bloat, no gas, no diarrhea. If there was a problem, I'd know it in my sleep and I'd be running to the toilet every night around midnight. So, it depends on the person.
