Of course it is. It really just depends on how you set up your machine. I like to set all my drum sanders to cut right to left. I like my Hummel belt sander to work left to right. I prefer my Clark Belt sander to sand left to right. My drum sander is a Galaxy by the way. I use different machines for different jobs and different species of wood. The Galaxy is great for grinding em down. Blink and you will be in the basement. Great for roughing down old pine and floors that weren't loved so much. I use the Hummel on Cherry and finer tuned work. The Clark is a warhorse and loves to eat oak. Any machine can be set up to run either way you prefer. I use all 3 machines when sanding ipe floors because it so hard but also can be virtually polished due to it's grain structure. The Hummel is the finest sanding machine but also the most expensive. We always say it is just a floor when pricing it but if something goes wrong then it is a work of art. These guys did an awesome job as far as I can tell. They obviously have a lot of experience.
I use a Clark floorcrafter and it cuts so flat it can work right to left just fine.. even though it is supposed to cut left to right.. if I am limited on the direction the cord is fed from, I will use it right to left at times. Just sand hard and don’t think too much - is my policy.
Beautiful floor. I am happy to see my church donations being put to good use. God bless us.
nice, thats a lot of work!
Good video. Gives an appreciation for our trade and shows the level of work involved. Minor issues but hey, it's fun to see it. Great job.
Is that moisture barrier you put under the subfloor?
How many square feet and how long was the installation sanding and finishing process
good work
what they applied on the wood at the end of the video??
He dare he run the Hummel right to left!
Did you use a Go pro to film this?
nice

In some situations it’s OK to run the Hummel from the right to the left.
Whats wrong with going from right to left?

The only error i saw was use the edger machine first than big sander machine
That’s how it’s done when you know how to run a Drum/Belt sander. The other way is when you don’t know why it’s done .
Great video but terrible music.
name Polanco I must be lame because I love the progressive time lapse music 😂
What a waste of time installing that 2 1/4 planks
