As a life long rider of all things motorcycle I always enjoy watching these videos! Good job on the Harley. I lean more towards sport touring with my current 2013 R1200RT! But when I was your age I loved my Kawasaki GPZ 550, Suzuki GS750ES. and my quirky Yamaha XS750 triple!

I had an 1989 883 back in 1995 ...Bored out to 1200,hot cam, ported and polished heads and it was a monster. Started at 38 hp was 103 hp when done. Miss that bike it only had a 4 speed transmission And after about 200 mi ride your hands and feet would tingle for hours. My riding buddies would tell me to drag a magnet behind my bike to catch all the parts that would vibrate off my bike! I learned loc tite was a must have in your tool box. Thanks for the video.

I like your take on a daily rider and yea, the Sporty sounds and feels great. The belt can last 100K miles but removing the belt guard increases the chances that stones/gravel will get between the belt and pulley which is the most common cause of premature belt wear.

Awesome build, I absolutely love what you’ve done with it!! I’ve had the same visions of my 883 but a little more mad max style. Plus mine is brand new so I can’t just start whacking away on it like with an old sporty. Thinking seriously about some 50/50 tires though when the new ones are ready for changing. Gonna ride the stock tires into the ground first!!

I only have 2 real issues with this bike. #1, the rear lighting has VERY limited visibility, which could lead to an increased possibility of a rear end collision. #2, please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, get that drive belt adjusted correctly. That thing is slapping all over the place like a wet noddle and is guaranteed to snap at some point soon and leave you stranded.

too bad you know nothing about harley sportsters as they already have a street tracker on and off road street legal that is too many cc and makes 40 more hp than your home made destruction of a sportster that is now worthless as the XR1200 just gained its original cost as it is now a collector bike worth $11k hehehe on the street stock will earn a twisted throttle salute from 600 rice rockets when they find out it takes more than 130 to pass you as there is no body can imagine a 13 yr. old sporty could ever make 95 hp from the factory ..and last week at the 2024 daytona hooligan race of 12 major brands of street bike racing over 150 mph the all new sporty S was ln front chased by a indian scout chasted by ducs april illnesses and yamazukes

Great work! You have skills! I love the old school rough look. Polishing it up would not benefit it. Sounds great even though I agree that louder is not always better. Is this the beginning of TFL Motorbike?

As soon as I heard Harley scrambler,
I immediately thought way too heavy and you probably have to change out the entire suspension.
But if you're just using it for well maintained fire roads you should be fine.

Sportsters are great bikes! I’ve had my old rigid mount since new in ‘01. Most fun street bike I’ve ever owned, I’ll never sell it. Converted it from 883 to 1200 last year. Yours looks cool, I would ride that off road no problem, dirt roads, fire roads , and mild trails.

Wow! Love this content! Really enjoyed seeing something that a TFL runs/drives for themselves. Your individualizing this bike is very cool. It's not my thing or style.. lol But that does not matter. It is really cool you made it your own. My last fully street legal bike was an 85 NightHawk. And it was fantastic. You and Alex ought to run some trips together. Would like to see what he runs. In fact, I know Roman runs a bike now and then as well. Not sure it is a Dual sport or just MX or perhaps he has more than 1.

Nice bike I like what you have done to it, and more content like this would be great, I no longer ride bikes after my third accident not my fault the other half said no more bikes but I am hankering after another Yamaha V-Max, but since this pandemic money is tight to say the least, and as my business is seasonal anyway not this year unless a small miracle happens, so some more like this would be good.
