  • Low tyre pressure or a flat tyre can compromise the safety of you and your passengers, so checking your tyres regularly is important.
The Renault Tyre Inflation kit can help you repair holes of 4mm or less, but it is always worth visiting your Renault Dealer for replacing and fitting new tyres safely.

the TPW light of my Renault is on. Does it mean that I should change the tyre. Should I first try pumping air at gas station first?

Thank God my Clio has a proper spare tire, the hassle with this "playlist" stop, check and reinflate set on repeat and then visit the dealer to pour money is so inconvenient.

Hi Lewis, we'd recommend contacting a Renault dealer so they can check out the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for you. A diagnostic may incur labour fees, however, they'll advise if your car has a recognised manufacturing defect that is covered by your warranty. Any non-warranty repairs come with a 1-year guarantee on parts and labour plus you'll have a trained Renault technician taking care of your car. You'll be in great hands!

Just give cars proper spare wheels instead of the bollocks. I got 2 if these when I bought my Renault. Utter crap

Renault wheel hubs are rubbish. I bent one last year by driving over a pothole. This is the first time I have ever damaged one in 50 years of driving with all sorts of cars with steel wheels. It is my first experience of alloy wheels. I previously had an old style Clio for ten years and it was brilliant, though under-powered. The 'get you home kit was rubbish, I had to re-inflate the tyre seven times to get me home and cancel my evening because of the lack of confidence I had in the kit. My evening was ruined. With a spare it would not have been a problem. I then bought a new wheel hub and tyre the next day and had them fitted to my car. I had the old one hammered out and with a new tyre kept it as a spare. The wonderful kit destroys the tyre so no one will repair it! Tonight, another pothole, another flat tyre. Fitted the spare in 15 minutes and was on my way without further anguish. My question, do they make alloy wheels out of paper mache? I now have to get this one sorted out tomorrow.

All the people moaning about not having a spare, you spend more in fuel carrying the spare wheel and tire everywhere then you do using the kit and taking it get a new tyre when you need one.

Great little motors but ridiculous that they don't come as standard with a spare wheel like most other motors. Renault must expect people to have money just to throw away on a new type everytime you get a puncture. Messing around with a puncture repair / tyre inflation kit possibly in the middle of nowhere at night is both inconvenient and unsafe. Do the right thing Renault and fit all your cars with a proper spare wheel no matter how small the boot may be, if you buy a small car you expect a small boot but you also expect a spare wheel there in the bottom of it when you need it.
