Is it just me, or does the Jon era (as a whole) feel like it had much much more energy than with Dan? Now before the ensuing flame war begins, I actually don't mind Dan. He's clever, and he's got amazing stories. But there's a such thing as being too "go with the flow." He adds very little energy in the show, and the episodes really blended together because there's not as much memorable moments. Alot of people don't understand the old game grumps "over the top" moments and reactions, and all the hilarious arguments. Because Jon and Arin weren't afraid to disagree with each other, they both had their opinions. Danny literally just agrees with everything Arin says, there's absolutely no interesting conflict at all. I suspect that Danny never disagrees cause he doesn't seem to know much about the games they play, aside from maybe 2-3. And/or he's too chill to get confrontational about anything. If you watch these videos and then the vids with Arin and Danny, you can even see how different Arin acts without someone to bounce his loud humor off of. I will always miss the days of the lmfao grumps. Now I'm lucky if i get a chuckle or two from a new episode. And I've always tried to give it a real shot, too.

My main difference is that for the most part, the new game grumps are too much like a podcast... meant to be listened to in the background while doing homework or while driving. They just tell stories while playing. Their stories are, for the most part, entertaining, but some get a little dry. Thanks so much for these. I started watching Game Grumps when Danny took over Jon's role so these have made it easy for me to catch up on JonTron's era with them. It has also made me appreciate Danny so much more!

Radiated Soldier basically, things were kind of fine between them, then at magfest, the night before Jon and Arin were going to be on (i think) the polaris panel-thing, jon drank alot and was hungover, which was why barry went in his place. basically thats when the "split" happened. and since then, they have kind of patched things up
