I can’t even tell you how grateful I am for this video! I’ve been struggling with a few things with my new Kingmax GC 0302D. I bought the extra needle positioner thingie.. everything has been challenging to get set, and I’m so glad to see the things that you can work out vs the things you need to call about! The stitch length knob is extremely tight and hard to adjust, among other things that need to be adjusted. I almost need to stand on the backspace lever … 😂. Everything is HARD TO ADJUST
congrats on your new machine Susan!! Just an FYI Sewing Gold has smooth feed dogs and narrow feet for the juki 1181n, i wonder if it would fit this one too since it's the dupe? I ended up buying both and am so happy, no matter how much I played with my pressure it was still eating up my vinyl. It's much better now!
Oh my Lord the screws are SO TIGHT. My husband had to help me. It took a wrench on the screwdrivers to get them loose. I also bought a smooth feed dog and smooth foot from Sewing Gold and that’s taken care of the marked up vinyl. My other feet, I took an emery cloth and sanded the crap out of the bottom of them. It’s much better. I had a terrible time with the thinner WPC. It was sliding all over the place.
Do they not test machine and have it ready to go? So glad I have the Thor and came tested assembled and ready to go I think hubby oiled Congratulations Susan on your new machine your so lucky to have such an Amazing sister to help you ❤
Hello from Australia I just want to say how much I am enjoying your videos with your sister unfortunately I cant watch live as it's in the middle of the night here lol and I have great tip for you on winding bobbins put bobbin on the spindle but about half way down hand wind around a couple of times and then pull tail under the bobbin and push down to hold the thread under the bobbin you can trim tail off but not necessary wind the bobbin when leaver detaches and bobbin is full, pull off bobbin trim that tail and walla neat and tidy no fuss bobbin ❤❤❤
What about the bolt that takes a 14mm wrench on the back of the machine? That's what I thought could help going from L to H fabrics or is it just for pressure foot height (?) Glad she got it working. Some volts were really tight on my new machine i just got from Ralph's 😬
Thank you SO MUCH for doing this video. I recently purchased this machine from Ralph’s and have been a little disappointed and frustrated trying to learn the machine since they are little to no videos available for the Kingmax. Love you watching you both so much!!!!
I always set the bobbin tension first using the drop test. Should be a firm tug to get the thread to move. Then adjust top tension. Remember the top tension sets your bobbin side and the bobbin adjusts your topside thread.
Please make an update video, as I have the exact same issue with my semi-industrial machine. This is VERY frustrating because some days it is good and some days, the fabric runs away like that and the thread shreds, also.
I would get a 2nd bobbin casing for a different txt I freak messing with bobbin back in the day our teacher always said your never get back to factory setting
Susan, will you still make bags on your Juki? I would love an industrial, but I just don't have the room. I have a Juki QVP2200 and I make and sell bags using vinyl and cork. I love watching both of you!
Steve at Sewing Gold has a video on how to go from fine to thick fabrics on the Juki 1181n which is very similar to this machine. Maybe that video would help.
I can’t sew thin fabric on my industrial..a jack h2, same as the juki du 1181n. I sew my lighter weight fabrics on my vintage singer but that’s fine for me
the manual sucks and they don't usually even send it with the machine. Videos best. Also my machine was new six months ago and came with both the side winder and the top winder for bobbins
😂. I am now scared to get one. Luv the petting. I talk to all my machines...

Glad it helped!
My industrial eat’s cotton fabric had to bring it in twice for the mess it made of my bobbin case. I’ll never try that again. What a fiasco.
She look so thrilled her new machine ; happy Susan ❤

Loops on bottom means top tension too loose
Tight on the bottom means top tension is too tight.
Do they not test machine and have it ready to go? So glad I have the Thor and came tested assembled and ready to go I think hubby oiled
Congratulations Susan on your new machine your so lucky to have such an Amazing sister to help you ❤
Yes they do, but it was tested for thicker vinyl
Slide the bobbin cover plate open and you can see into the bobbin area without having to look beneath the table. Love your videos guys. ❤
So happy for you Susan, and your new machine!! So exciting!!!!
Congrats, Susan. Exciting. ❤

Awwww you’re growing up so fast Susan!!! Now you have a woman’s machine. lol!!! Congrats.
Thread the thread through one of holes in top of bobbin hold while winding and it will twist into
Sorry I missed celebrating your new machine live but I will continue to celebrate while you sleep and I go about my Sunday 🎉
Thank you SO MUCH for doing this video. I recently purchased this machine from Ralph’s and have been a little disappointed and frustrated trying to learn the machine since they are little to no videos available for the Kingmax. Love you watching you both so much!!!!
It's just a clone of the juki 1181n. So just find videos for that.
I always set the bobbin tension first using the drop test. Should be a firm tug to get the thread to move. Then adjust top tension. Remember the top tension sets your bobbin side and the bobbin adjusts your topside thread.
Congratulations Susan!!!!!!!
I think Teddy needs a stool so he can see
So happy for you! 🎉❤
Congratulations on your new King Max
Congratulations
Yay Susan!!!! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
My industrial has the same kind of bobbin winder, and I just tuck the tail of the thread under the bobbin, and it winds everytime.
Please make an update video, as I have the exact same issue with my semi-industrial machine. This is VERY frustrating because some days it is good and some days, the fabric runs away like that and the thread shreds, also.
She lowered the pressure on her foot
You go girl!! Woo Hoo! ❤❤
I am sooo excited for you, Susan! Also pretty jealous 😊
I have the exact same machine haven't used it since I bought it going enjoy some else trying to learn on it also
I would get a 2nd bobbin casing for a different txt I freak messing with bobbin back in the day our teacher always said your never get back to factory setting
I am so pleased for you 🎉 Its a game changer x
Susan, did you ever figure out thin materials on your machine?
Congratulations, enjoy
to look at the bobbin just slide the plate to the left and you can see what you are doing
When you move your table up it might help because your knee lift is probably catching underneath has you sew
Mark your oiling holes with a red marker then you won't forget
Congrats!!!
Susan, will you still make bags on your Juki? I would love an industrial, but I just don't have the room. I have a Juki QVP2200 and I make and sell bags using vinyl and cork. I love watching both of you!
congrats Sue have fun
My bobbin has a hole that you thread from center up through top then you hold the thread as it starts to wind then snip and continue winding.
I'm so excited for you 🎉

Tried the bottom foot tension
I can’t sew thin fabric on my industrial..a jack h2, same as the juki du 1181n.
I sew my lighter weight fabrics on my vintage singer but that’s fine for me
Oh my god..that didn’t take long lol will you still use the juki?
That could be what the upgrade from yours to hers. Like going from a Juki du1181n to a 1541s.
Did you TH-cam question on the king max?
What is the motor girls, servo motor or clutch motor???
Servo
Did you not like the Juki? I am looking for a new machine and just not sure what I want
I prefer the Kingmax so it’s just what I got her
she needs stickers
So what did you do with the juki Tl
I still have it and love it. I’ll set them both up.
the manual sucks and they don't usually even send it with the machine. Videos best. Also my machine was new six months ago and came with both the side winder and the top winder for bobbins
Check the knee lift?
isnt susan supposed to be sewing lol
