Buddy, i have the same car but 1998, it's a beautiful car man, people tend to underestimate it. The other day, my putra was keeping up with a corolla sportivo (turbo 1.8), but i dropped my speed at 130kph and it over took me coz i didn't wanna go too fast on a 60 zone. one thing i have to ask, do u find in the high revs past 7000, the car doesnt accelerate as much? i've hit 8000 before and it was all sound but no power, it's weird.
@shahrk93 yes, i wish i got some digital stuff to measure my speed. that's why i qoute 0-200km/h even it show more than 200kmh on speedo. but if u do calculation by your self when we achieve 6000rpm on 5th (ratio 0.777) + final drive (ratio 4.3++) run on 195/50R15 you'll found the logically speed we can achieve here.
@mkz24 wsalam, xdyno. Xtau berapa kuda atau torque tambah. Box tu air resonator. Fungsinya untuk mengurangkan bunyi bising intake time wot. Nak improve NHV kereta ja. Logically kalau buang benda tu akan kurangkan restrict untuk air intake.

@AocXieZ fully stock engine don't need to change the air flow, from my opinion. how the performance before u change it? different air flow send different voltage signal to ECU before the ECU decide to send how much fuel to engine. in your case, stock air flow is necessary. I'm not sure about 4G93 CK4 rev limit. but 8K with stock set up is very high. have u check the clutch plate? any slip?

Hi, if i'm not mistaken, both GTi & Putra using same gearbox. my rpm is almost 3000 (very2 near to 3000) when running 100km/h in 5th gear. the GTi should be around this figure too or maybe slightly lower (i mean, very2 slight) due to bigger rim size.

Kalau gearbox ni, gear 5th comfirm berat sbb final ratio dia 0.756 and final drive 4.021. ko pegi tgk code kat gearbox tu. betul ka tak. kalau ko nak tau, F5M221 ni dari model eclipse pun ada gak.
actually, 4G93 have only around 120bhp on wheel but with better torque curve than mivec (stroke 81mm (4G93) vs 77.5 (mivec)) with same piston size. quite complicated to explain which one faster. kerb weight play a very big roll in this comparison. mivec will rocket if kerb weight very low while 4G93 not a very weight sensitive as mivec if we compare stock to stock due to richer torque across its rpm band.

suma keta proton tak ada speed cut. yang ada cuma rev-cut. rev-cut untuk 4G93 yang guna ECU MMC5537 dalam 7.5krpm. secara logic, kalau ko boleh cecah 7500rpm dalam gear 5, maknanya top speed time tu akan dapat dalam 250km/h. untuk stock 4G93, mmg tak kan dapat. paling2 pun rpm boleh pegi 7k saja dalam gear 5. speed dalam 230km/h. tu pun kalau jalan straight n mendatar susah nak cecah. sbb peak power untuk stock 4G93 sekitar 6000-6300rpm saja.

Dgn adjustable pulley, pickup blh adjust dan pwr cepat masuk antra 1,500 - 4,500 rpm. Disitulah kita punya power band : driveability! Guna iridium s'plugs dan tune BETUL2, tambah angin sikit kat throtle body. Insha'lah, blh dpt 0-100km dlm 7.5 saat. Dgn pwr begini, bawak lagi syok, memotong lagi cepat dan selamat dan JGN SALAH gunakan power! Model ni mmg BEST.

eraserwke, for ur info, all proton wira, satria, putra & GTi with cc from 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 using all same gear ratio including final drive. only the 1.6 have a smaller 5th gear ratio. all using 0.777 for 5th but the 1.6 using 0.756. so, no wonder the 1.6 run with slightly lower rpm than the 1.8 at 5th gear at same speed. but the acceleration may be very2 slow @ no at all after changing to 5th as the ratio maybe too heavy. not like the 1.8. which u need the 5th gear to achieve more than 200km/h.
electronic limiter?? amendanya tu.. setahu aku, rpm limiter ada la.. cut dekat 7500-7600rpm. tak guna nak buang rpm limiter ni. no effect for stock car..
kebanyakan meter keta mmg tak 100% tepat. tapi meter proton 1.6 @ 1.8 berat sket kalau compare ngan proton lain. tapi gen2 punya mmg ringan n kurang tepat.
u talk about modified car? modification is too general. what kind of modification u are talking about too achieve 240kmh? my shifting style may be not perfect. for those who using this FM222 made by hicom gb know why u cant shift faster or better.

yes mivec 4G92 got 175hp on flywheel, but only produce around 140bhp on wheel.
4G93 with 5537 ecu can get around 125bhp on wheel.

everythings is stock including the gearbox (F5M222VRXE).
just remove the air box resonator for better pick up and sound. run on 195/50R15 tyres.

eraserwke, for ur info, all proton wira, satria, putra & GTi with cc from 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 using all same gear ratio including final drive. only the 1.6 have a smaller 5th gear ratio. all using 0.777 for 5th but the 1.6 using 0.756. so, no wonder the 1.6 run with slightly lower rpm than the 1.8 at 5th gear at same speed. but the acceleration may be very2 slow @ no at all after changing to 5th as the ratio maybe too heavy. not like the 1.8. which u need the 5th gear to achieve more than 200km/h.

setahu aku, rpm limiter ada la.. cut dekat 7500-7600rpm. tak guna nak buang rpm limiter ni. no effect for stock car..
@fotographa2010 malfunction already..
kebanyakan meter keta mmg tak 100% tepat. tapi meter proton 1.6 @ 1.8 berat sket kalau compare ngan proton lain. tapi gen2 punya mmg ringan n kurang tepat.
Putra actually can go beyond this. 240kmh with modifications. This one in video was driver's mistake obviously. Tarik setiap gear sampai boleh.
u talk about modified car? modification is too general. what kind of modification u are talking about too achieve 240kmh? my shifting style may be not perfect. for those who using this FM222 made by hicom gb know why u cant shift faster or better.

bukan mivec. 4g93 n/a biasa. maybe meter tu ringan sket.. kalau pakai rsm bleh tau la.
