Wow, I was completely BLOWN AWAY, and absolutely moved to tears from this version of one my favorite old Reba songs. My husband was listening to it, and I asked who it was, and he said it was a guy he has been listening to lately. So I put my headphones on and brought it up on TH-cam. As I listened to Cody singing, aside from the lyrics, I was simply moved by how he interrupted the song vocally. The passion and emotion he was delivering through his vocals alone just brought me to tears. It was totally amazing. Blown away. Very few artists have that affect on me. I know nothing about this artist, but I'm about to do some research. His talent is beyond anyone I know of on radio today. I sure hope he is getting the recognition he is deserving of. We need more talent like his in the country music industry. I honestly think Reba herself would be moved by Cody's version of her song. I hope someone passes the word onto her, and maybe she will. ❤

Not only is Cody an awesome singer, but from what I've read, and heard, he is an American patriot! He loves our country, and respects our military/law enforcement men and women. I pray he stays true to who he is, and doesn't sell out like so many of today's artists have. Looks like a great family man, as well. Until now...I always thought that this classic is one that shouldn’t be touched by anyone. But my gosh, what a beautiful rendition of this song. The acoustic background lent itself to the lyrics more than the original. And let’s face it. This guy could sing anything and make it sound like a hit song. Cody has the most beautiful rich tone in country music IMHO.
Not to take anything away from Reba, but I had never paid much attention to how well written this song is until I heard this cover. "When the icy winds blow through you, remember that it's me that feels the cold most of all" is such a great line. Just having the guitar really brings out the loneliness of the lyrics, and he sings it perfectly. It's wonderful in all ways.

I found out my wife cheated on me with her coworker. I tried to make it work because I love her so much. One day I came home from work she's gone again. Nearly killed me. She's now in East Coast.
