Fun vid. That idled sweet. Really expected at least one dead hole. Nice that your daughter hung out with you and seemed genuinely enthused when it started. Red on red is awesome. Funny how we all start from different beginnings...i was given a 59 bird, blue on blue, engine out and missing some pieces, no trans, interior in boxes, but clean and rust free. Currently sitting in my barn and waiting for some other projects to end. Thats an Autolite carb, don't throw it away! The tag is still on it so should have the numbers you need
yeah, the tag says rebuilt BR. It’s my first time working on the old stuff but I really enjoy the different mechanical systems. All I’ve worked on in the past is this impossible new stuff. Thank you for the info on the Autolite. I try to get the kids out there as much as possible. Thanks for watching!!
352 is in the Ford FE engine family, which includes 390 car engines, the 427, plus several different displacements of Mercury/Edsel versions and truck versions. If that's the original engine it's a high-compression, 300-hp engine.
Ford didn't serial number engines. Even 427s have 352 cast on the blocks. Manufacturer HP was an engineer calc without peripherals. A good complete stock 59 bird engine dyno'd 250-260 but HP doesn't matter near as much as torque curve for street performance. Ford focused on torque curve which is why I prefer the Yblocks which include FE and MEL. They will survive large power increase on stock cranks and rods, which is how Ford easily added superchargers in 1957. Can run them on 87 for normal street use given correct ignition/fuel/air as the pistons are cast iron buckets. @@apatriotstouch
If I recall correctly, the aluminum triangular tab that is on the top front left screw of the carburetor contains the information you need to get a rebuild kit. I am sure these days you can input the info you find on it into a search on the net to find out as well.
352 is not a small block, its a durable high compression high torque tugger. Always pull heads, clean and lube bores then pressure the oil system before turning. Change all fluids, grease all zercs, all belts, hoses and rubber brake lines, all wheel cylinders and install dual circuit master cylinder and front disk brakes, install pertronix. Good for another 30 years. Do NOT tow square birds on rear tires very far or fast. Can be push started. The redone dash and interior saved huge work and bux, new headliner still available. If real lucky heater core/control valve was checked and electric wiper motor installed. Non pitted tail light bezels worth bux. I've got a ton of spare square bird parts including non rusted body. Salt cancer is simple mig work, rockers are critical body structure. Cheap chinese rear drums are garbage, I save good rear drums. I've been building vehicles since 1968, favorite driver of my collection by far is my console shift factory 3 speed OD 59 bird with built 390, long tube headers and front disk brakes. Square birds very safe cars even by todays standards given 3 point belts and disk brakes, see heavy gauge inner fenders seam welded to frame. You obviously don't like the car, let someone else finish it.
Wooo! Love it mate! :) I'm from the UK, so we never got these iconic cars over here. Fortunately we also don't have parasitic HOAs over here either! Thanks for documenting this! Best of luck for your channel, sir!
As much as I love classic cars I'm glad you got that out of our community. It was an eyesore. Needs a garage. Needs LOTS of love. I hope you can get it back to its original beauty!🥰
Yes, thank you. The tag says rebuilt BR. I guessing thats the shop that rebuilt it. But yeah I’m learning slowly but surly.. thanks again and thank you for watching.
Lookin’ forward to more installments, should you decide to treasure it, on your fabulous Thunderbird. On the small block note from the other commenter, he is correct…It is not a small block, it is also not a big block…It is/was considered a medium block by the Ford Motor Company.
Yeah but I don’t know the condition of it, most likely it’s going to need to be rebuilt as well. It don’t mean I’m not going to keep it,but I mind as well just rebuild the one on the engine knowing that it already works.
I marvel at the stupidity you see every time. Try start w a dry bowl, crank till you burn the starter, and THEN fill the carb w fuel!!! They'll fire, but they won't run w an empty carb!
..those little things you edit in are f*ckin hilarious 😂🎉
Yea those "Roach Clips" really come in handy when working on cars. LOL. And other things.
Yeah they do, especially the newer impossible cars. 🥴
Always cool to hear them run after so many years, I will keep watching.
Thank you for the support!!
The plugs are only short on one end. (Just joking)
..the interior of that is Beautiful.🔥🌌
Tell me about it, it’s mint..
..what a cool 50's Sports Car

Awesome classic
Yea I love it, keep an eye out for when I get it driving. I’m working on that vid right now.. thanks for watching
Hot damn she's alive. Got to subscribe to your channel to see if you go all the way with it or not. Great video.
Thank you, I appreciate that!!
Nice trunk of goodies

Brings back memories, those were the cars you didn’t mind working on great video!
Thanks Dad, I appreciate you watching!!

Nice, as far as I know it’s a number matching engine.

Possibly the vaccum advance on the stumbling acceleration. Good Luck!
That’s very possible, but taking apart the carb I found the excelerator pump was bad and there was no secondaries. The butterflys were totally stuck.

Yeah, that tab says rebuilt BR. I figured it was rebuilt sometime in its life. It’s an Autolite 4100. Thank you for the info, and thanks for watching.

Nice! I have another old but good drums (non Chinese crap) that came with it. Thank you for the info!!
U got a new sub I remember watching vgg 2nd video and look where he is now
Thank you, I’d love to some day be where vgg is now. He’s a great inspiration.. thanks again for subscribing!!

Yeah there getting harder and harder to find atm round here as well. Thank you I appreciate you.
There is a metal tag on the front of the carb. Show that tag to an auto parts man and he can get you a carb kit for it.
Sweet, thank you..
nice work mate the best from holland
Thank you, welcome aboard!!

jadore , et en plus avec de l humour
Carburetor looks to be an Autolite 4100 it was a ford carburetor there should be Model numbers on the front of the body it has a tag
Yes, thank you. The tag says rebuilt BR. I guessing thats the shop that rebuilt it. But yeah I’m learning slowly but surly.. thanks again and thank you for watching.
Cool video. Just subscribed.
Thank you I appreciate that!
Flip??!!
That’s a special rare keeper…you’ll regret it later.
I know as I work on it I’m getting attached.

Tell Danielle she needs to be more involved with the production and video ! 🙏 She looks like she has something to say a valuable opinion.
Absolutely, I encourage all three of my kids to come out. I very much enjoy teaching them every I know. I’m always open for everyone’s opinion.
DUH there was a spare Carburetor in the trunk!
Yeah but I don’t know the condition of it, most likely it’s going to need to be rebuilt as well. It don’t mean I’m not going to keep it,but I mind as well just rebuild the one on the engine knowing that it already works.
I can see where this would be a bright RED eyesore
Yeah, I don’t want to be that guy. Lol, I’m going to cover it before the winter.
The video is fine, that music has to go, please!
What don’t you like all of the music, or when I was moving the car into place?
@@apatriotstouch the video was nice thank you, I didn't care for the music that's all
I appreciate your honesty, was wondering was it all the music you didn’t like, or just a particular song. I’m trying to get everyone’s opinion.
Should be a motorcraft a little silver table on the top of the top of the carburetors is the model number
Thank you!!
It is a autolite 4100 carb
Thank you!!
Yup, thank you!
How snout looking at that tag under a carb screw? It probably has the info you want.
Can you tell Danielle that Victor from California says hello ? 🤫🤫😎
Will do
Do a burnout!!
Its an autolitye and the tag on the front screw should have all the info right on it. The part number should B(AF or close to it.
Got it, thank you autolite 4100
tag on carb tells all
What part of PA are you at? Looks a lot like where I’m from (pike county)
Northeast Pennsylvania..
@@apatriotstouch I knew that area looked familiar hahaha, i grew up in Dingmans Ferry
The car is not a POS but maybe some previous owner(s) could be saddled with that moniker.
It was a joke, it’s a piece of history.
No offense meant. More of a statement of support:)@@apatriotstouch
None taken, I appreciate your response and honesty.
What does the tag say on the top of the carburetor?
Rebuilt BR
Batmobile!
I would remove both heads too get a better look at the top of each piston and also get too clean them good 🤔🙏🎯
VOLUME TO LOW CANT HERE YOU.
Yeah I noticed that, I’m definitely working on that.
I marvel at the stupidity you see every time. Try start w a dry bowl, crank till you burn the starter, and THEN fill the carb w fuel!!! They'll fire, but they won't run w an empty carb!
If you were amused by that wait till I try to get it driving in the next vid.
