One of my first shops was at Target, and the shelves were BARE. Almost everything was a substitution, then I had to find a very small cosmetic pencil sharpener (which I did) and the customer gave me a 1 star because they only had one package of chicken in stock and not two! Also, you're wrong about Dollar Generals. The outside walls usually make sense but the rest of the store is a crapshoot lol.
Oh me too and I didn’t even need to think about it. 1) I don’t usually have much $ let alone cash. 😂sad but true. And 1) most ppl are ok but they can also be expecting you to have more cash on you than if they didn’t think you’re prepared for making change etc. And 2) my friend was delivering food for the local Chinese restaurant and someone gave her a fake 20 dollar bill. her boss (the owner) actually told her that basically it was her problem. (Pretty sure she switched it another day when she was running the register but not sure if she really ended up doing that or was just (understandably) upset when it first happened. That occurrence just solidified my decision to not do cod orders!
DD screwed me out of $53 on a COD order that had been changed while I was on the way to the delivery. Customer told me he had declined part of his order because it was ridiculously priced and had paid online. I couldn't get hold of "support", customers food was getting cold, so I called pizza hut and verified payment with the staff member I had picked up the order from. I got hold of "support" FINALLY after getting back to town (very rural area) and explained what happened. I was informed that I would have to not get the payment for the order and eat the $53 because I had done COD orders and should know better! DD support won't budge on this. I turned off COD after that.
DG in my area is terrible. Unorganized and wifi issues (you can’t even see the pic of the item). Items that are alike may be in a few different places in the store. Inventory is not updated, so many items are out of stock. Very time consuming.
I do Plantinum with Doordash since that allows me to schedule hours for my eBike, regardless of market (fun fact for all the drivers out there looking to start dashing on a bike), and the orders they send are generally under 4 miles, many of which being under 2-3, while still getting access to High Pay Orders. Since most orders are reasonable to good, or even great, maintaining a high AR is easy. The Pro Shopper will go well with this for me so I actually look forward to this change! Stay safe out there everyone.
Here in the Portland, Oregon area I noticed Pro Shopper stats for the first time on 11/25/24. It seems 98% for total items found is unrealistic since stores are often out of stock on items and even substitutes, which is beyond our control.
You can’t cherry pick shop and deliver if you want to stay Platinum it’s still 80% AR In my area. Of course you can turn it off however I make most of my money about $30 an hour shopping and it’s low miles and less gas cost each and every day!
Customers lie a lot to get free stuff. I take long shopping because I like to make sure that every product is correct and that there’s nothing wrong with it and I’ve still got complaints. Society sucks.
I had a customer lie about two deliveries as being never delivered the same day. I got hit with two contract violations because of this and immediately disputed it. The violations were taken off a week later. I'm pretty sure the address was banned from DD orders. I got another violation a week later. It was delivered to a local high school. I remembered the customer name from the previous violations. I handed that order to the school office. I disputed that violation and informed the of those details. The violation was taken off in a couple of days. I'm sure that customer was banned, by name, because it's been months since then and don't see the name. I now write down details of EVERY order I do. I keep a small notepad in my vehicle just for this purpose.
The way I have been doing it: I only toggle on shopping orders/alcohol orders, when the average wait time for orders is 8 minutes or more. Basically, off peak times. It indicates to me that it's going to be slow and keeps me busy. It has worked out well for me. One of my primary complaints, they tend to send me to do s&d's when I am super far away from store. I don't know if it's because I am a pro shopper or have priority shopping status or if it's because everyone else has it toggled off.
I didn't get this notification. I also have items delivered showing up as not found. I have the receipt and Doordash said they can't change the stats. It was my very first shopping.
Impossible, items in the data base are frequently not updated especially the ones that are changed from 10oz to 9.5 oz etc. 1 single customer false report and your ganna lose. Waste of time.
The other issues with shop and pay is when they stack multiple orders. This can be a challenge for grocery shops keeping orders separate if there is a high item count. I also found that you may have an order offer showing 10 items but they want 10 of each of those items. So you really are shopping for 100 items. Also had issue with EBT orders and never adding a tip. I am not sure if this is just my area or if they can’t add a tip.
If u decline a shop & deliver order, then it goes off your normal AR. Yes, I'd love a shop item maximum & certain shops filter. I've always thought Dashers should be able to filter areas they don't want to go to also. I hate shopping for myself, lol. Shop & deliver I dont really like it, lol, but I get paid ok. Australia just stopped top dasher & went Platinum, Gold & Silver rewards. I noticed today. We have shop & deliver preference.
i don't do shop and deliver. It takes to long. there is never enough time to complete the shop, people are picky. I'm not as young and quick as I used to be.
I would consider turning it back on because i do enjoy shop and deliver. But ... I am 64 yo with a bad knees (arthritis) and the last few deliveries had packs of water that went to upstairs apartments, one of them third floor, leave at door with no help. I toggled preference for s&d off after that. Have considered toggling it back on a time or two, but then remember that pain and don't.
Is there going to be a better description BEFORE accepting of what is being shopped for..ie..oversized items, unusual sizes items or if a large vehicle is needed
Best shop and deliver I ever got was $87 for a 40-item shop (most being multiples of an item) with a total mileage of 7 miles. Completed it in only 45 minutes.
No new tab in my area…Oklahoma. Sorry but it’s not worth it to me. Plus, like Mike says…you will be spending time on substitutions, waiting in line, looking for items, yeah no ty. I want to head to my next pickup quickly to make C A S H.
the original items found is such a bullshit metric. has nothing to do with the driver/ picker / shopper if the store does not have the inventory. i dint care if dd or the store says they have it. mfer im here. they dont have it
You notice they don’t offer shop in pay with the hourly rates. Doordash knows it’s time consuming to do the shop and pays. In my area it is usually Aldi’s or Wagmens grocery offers. Today the day before Thanksgiving it’s all I saw. I couldn’t get near those stores, not to mention get in and shop in the allotted time. During normal times they want you to shop the busiest stores and they take forever to shop due to out of stock items and managing to find approved substitute from the client. Then they want you to still drive 10 miles for $18 dollars. It’s definitely is not worth it for high item counts shops. I cherry 🍒 pick the shop and pays. Sometimes I just shut it off in some areas because of the orders they send out. I wish I could just turn off certain stores in my dashboard preferences.
I take s&d orders all the time, in fact i usually park in my local safeway at the start of every shift. I rarely take orders more than 8-10 items but the majority of orders are 3-6 items for very decent pay. Tonight i got a $11 order for 3 items then got a stacked order for another 2 items for $12, all within 3 miles delivery. The evening beer run orders are awesome.
You still get penalized on original items not found even when you substitute all the original items. I have 0% substitution. I love S&D & I always go the extra mile and I am at 89% at original items.
Interesting how yours says “pay up to 30% more”. In my market it says “be the first in line to get pay an extra $2 dollars reward on every shopping order”. 🤨
That is very frustrating. It happens to me someone order a pair of Adidas and they said that it was the wrong ones when I literally scanned it and the manager told me they were the ones on the picture. This is some bullshit.
Most of my high paying offers were already shop and delivers. Guessing many in my area turn that off. Doordash tends to be OK with location of items for the bigger stores but terrible for dg and aldi. I do know those stores so it's not too bad unless it's tons of items. In my area, food is rarely ready or even within a few minutes to being ready so i can do most shop and delivers as fast or faster If they are 10 items or less
I'm at 5/6 to qualify with my total being 1% off only. The one thing with that last one is when produce is requested and it's the last item. Those tend to have minor issues or are smaller. It's weighing that value of the missing item va having the item but it not being ideal
In my area you can't opt out of cash on delivery or anything else you might be able to opt out of. They will not let me or us not exactly sure. I have tried a few times on nights that more crime rate is higher. it tells me nope can't turn off at this time. Then I will not deliver knowing that I am the only one who is driving in my area. I am one of the only drivers who is over 21 in my area as well at night. They push me to do the test to pick up alcohol and pushed me to tern on cash on delivery. I didn't know that I couldn't tern it off. I am a little female who drives at night.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
I don't want to do shop and deliver... But I do them because the money is usually good and I now really know the stores that are popular. Itbseems to be the onlybway to keep the dollars above the milea in my area. My city is very "hub and spoke" design so almost all orders have return distance and even the merchant to delivery usually is upside down already. I have no idea how stupid the people are that accept these orders.
I’m Team Shop and Deliver all day, man. Depending on the store, the margins are typically attractive and alcohol deliveries payouts are even higher for a single item. Time is definitely a variable, but be efficient and an hourly target of $20+ is pretty effortless.
You're wasting your time on this video man nobody's going to go for this crap if they do I feel sorry for them months ago I did a doordash shop order I had to cancel it cuz there was nothing I could find
I don't bother with the shopping. Stuff isn't in stock. No back up choices. Customers don't answer phone. It's awful😂
The whole thing is stupid because they penalize you if the store is out of stock of the original items. Like that's something I can control 👎
EXACTLY.
Same with instacart
I have done 500 s&d orders and have never found this to be true, even if you can't provide a substitution.
I came to reply with “exactly!” As well.
Yes they need an option you can hit for Out Of Stock items so you aren’t penalized in your stats! I’m at 88% and all those items were out of stock.
I turned off cash. I don’t want to deal with that
Oh me too and I didn’t even need to think about it. Same here.

Love S&D orders. Eventually you learn where everything is and how to best communicate as things come up.
Here in the Portland, Oregon area I noticed Pro Shopper stats for the first time on 11/25/24. It seems 98% for total items found is unrealistic since stores are often out of stock on items and even substitutes, which is beyond our control.
Doordash is trying to copy Walmart doordash will never ever catch up to Walmart Spark
You can’t cherry pick shop and deliver if you want to stay Platinum it’s still 80% AR In my area. Of course you can turn it off however I make most of my money about $30 an hour shopping and it’s low miles and less gas cost each and every day!

I’m thinking it’s because everyone has toggled it off
I didn't get this notification. I also have items delivered showing up as not found. I have the receipt and Doordash said they can't change the stats. It was my very first shopping.
WTH?!?!?
That's so wrong of them.🤦🏽♀️
DD support LIES about not being able to change stats, change AR wrongly lowered, etc because I have caught them contradicting themselves.
My stats look like your screen shot problem I find is stores are out of stock...
Been in this for 5 weeks. They’ve also been giving me a 100$ “reward” for maintaining pro shopper status every week.
We knew those shopping seats were going to come into play at one point
Shop and deliver is horrible for both DD and UE. Spark is the way to go for S&D. Overall, this video is very useful for gig newbies.
Shipt S&D is very nice as well. That's Target owned. I'm a Shipt shopper and enjoy it very much.
Accepting or not accepting affects ur over all acceptance rate
No they don't have to approve substitution
Impossible, items in the data base are frequently not updated especially the ones that are changed from 10oz to 9.5 oz etc. 1 single customer false report and your ganna lose. Waste of time.
You can't do shopping with doordash there is no aisle, section, and modular numbers
Also, Red card issues. For every shop I do, at least, 3 out of 10 have red card issues.
this makes me wanna turn off shop and deliver cus i wont qualify and theyll just be sending me the bad ones
The other issues with shop and pay is when they stack multiple orders. This can be a challenge for grocery shops keeping orders separate if there is a high item count. I don't do shopping. My market is awful for DD these days anyway. Now UE is changing for the worse too. It's all downhill from here.
Yes, I received Pro Shopper a few days ago 6/6.
i don't do shop and deliver. It takes to long. there is never enough time to complete the shop, people are picky. I'm not as young and quick as I used to be.

Door Dash is doing that because a lot of shopping orders are not worth the headache of going the extra mile

Also had an order last week for 20 items (2 orders) for $36 that was super fast and easy, couldn't pass that up since it was preferred store.
I’ve even bought raspberries from either Walmart or Safeway that were moldy.
As usual 1 of the stats is beyond your control. You cannot control what the store is out of.

What about people who don’t respond to substitutions? We are screwed.
Quality in fruits and vegetables. I’ve come across mold at Safeway and expired yogurt at Haggens.
My problem is missing or wrong item... all I delivered but they say it wasn't or wrong even though I had to scan to cash out.. grr
@@HarmonyOveracker Same here. I even still have the receipt, but I have been told over and over that they can't change it.
That is very frustrating. It happens to me someone order a pair of Adidas and they said that it was the wrong ones when I literally scanned it and the manager told me they were the ones on the picture. This is some bullshit.
Been making more on spark. Walmart pays more when people don't tip. Making more money and i hit my goals so i can go home faster.
I do like shop and pay but I don’t believe the priority part. I have been prioritized many of times and gone days without seeing Shop and pay orders.
Most of my high paying offers were already shop and delivers. Guessing many in my area turn that off. Doordash tends to be OK with location of items for the bigger stores but terrible for dg and aldi. I do know those stores so it's not too bad unless it's tons of items. Not even going to try. The percentages are ridiculous. In this economy the stores have bare shelves. Lots of bare shelves. AND 30% higher than what.
I get more shopping requests when I do EBT rather than earn by offer. So that makes it some what sustainable.
In my area you can't opt out of cash on delivery or anything else you might be able to opt out of. They will not let me or us not exactly sure. The app needs to be updated/improved regarding substitutions.
I dont waste a lot of time with substitution unless I know there is nothing to substitute.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Doordashdrivers are the new secret shopper for companies. LOL
I’ve had 4 items that scanned as the right item in the app be listed as picked up the wrong item 😂
Same thing happened to me and I was penalized by DoorDash.
I don’t have Pro shopper on either app
I reject so many door dash orders that I’m now at 38
I won’t be an employee.
No denied still counts on acceptance rate
Why don’t I have Pro Shopper?
More useless tiered systems that subject and make couriers lives more difficult for no reason at all
Still waiting on that instacart video mike
More trash what do you know
I am finding the program has become very buggy lately. Especially with stacked orders. I find the need to constantely reboot the app
I don't want to do shop and deliver... But I do them because the money is usually good and I now really know the stores that are popular. You're wasting your time on this video man nobody's going to go for this crap if they do I feel sorry for them months ago I did a doordash shop order I had to cancel it cuz there was nothing I could find
