My local target happens to have a freight elevator a lot like this, just smaller. I love that motor pitch, the low on oil is great, and in general there is nothing wrong with this one. good elevator.
Typically if it doesn't have an audible sound you have to hold it. But the gate not reversing until it fully closes seems a bit dangerous. This is probably MEI installed by Millennium.
What is actually interesting is that I’ve been here many times, many times when I was younger, because my dad would always let me choose where to go after Christmas dinner and I loved going here. In previous years you didn’t have to hold it down, however over the years it has developed some very weird glitches, for one, if you watch the indicator closely it has problems detecting what floor it is on, it also has a problem on 3R where the outer door gets stuck when it opens, now this. And yes, this is a MEI installed by millennium.

Yeah it has a few minor glitches that should be easy to fix, this is one of my favorite elevators since I’ve been riding it for a very long time
The passenger ones have motors that are *JUST* as epic. This one sounds a lot like the famous Marietta GA Target elevators.
