How good is the TREK CHECKPOINT SL6?

Thanks for the video. It is worth pointing out that the Checkpoint sl6 2023 model I just purchased has Rival asx not Apex, and has a single 40 T upfront with a 10-44 12 speed cassette.

Apex not Rival is bottom tier. Rival is comparable to Shimano 105

Nice Tom! Great to see you up on the Hibiscus Coast. I live in Stanmore Bay and regularly ride out to Gulf Harbour and Shakespeare’s Bay. There’s a 4-5km awesome gravel track out at Shakespeare’s so head there next time! Love the vids - keep it up

Very nice bike Tom i have one on order expected in June can't wait for it. Going to be my commuter and adventure bikepacking bike :). Also mate i'm pretty sure the rear is a 44t not a 42t just fyi ;) unless you have this bike changed to a 42t.... Keep the vlogs coming brother!

Beautiful bike .Thanks for posting the video.
Given the number of mounting points, it seems that Trek has intended this bike to fill the role of an adventure bike.
And this may lead one to ask: Is there a mount for a bike stand?

If your up in Akl again, some good gravel to be had up and around Puhoi / Riverhead / Coatesville area. Strava heatmaps shows the general gist. Also, that was my old boat you had in your outtro (red/pink one) :D

Thx Mate seriously considering this as a orginal Trek CP SL5 owner. My challenge groupset and spec. I like GRX and want either 1x12 Mech or 2x12 Di2. Might see if my dealer would swap this AXS set for GRX.I'd just buy a new SL5 but that Red is the cats ass!

Does 42 X 42 match 32 X 32 my 2 X has and how much slower is 48 X 11 going to be Vs the 42 ring?
This must be my new favourite bike.

I think you can put a dropper Seatpost in which my previous generation can't.. The seat flexes which great for my bum.

Definitely not 15 to 20 mm flex from rear isospeed. 10 at best. Otherwise nice review.
