Fantastic! i've been exploring all kinds of music and of course i like some of the most popular songs that everybody does, but we can't just throw away how the sounds of the past were made there's still very much a place for it because that music is timeless and the technology back then adds so much depth to the music.
God created the oceans on the third day and the sun on the fourth day, so yeah you're right. Although how how he managed to create light and plants before the sun is a bit of a head scratcher.
There's lots of elvis fans here in the UK multiple impersonators and outside a cafe in my town this big ordinary guy who alas isn't the best singer well he sings elvis songs i think once or twice a week outside using a karaoke machine. Everyone likes a couple of his songs really so do i the typical ones like jailhouse rock, love me tender, are you lonesome?, hound dog, all shook up they're great songs really fun to listen to.
This is absolutely amazing. That sound! Beautiful!
Thanks a lot BBC for covering this ❤
Super job Dean Amos! I grew up 50 miles from Norman Petty's studio and one of my old band mates was the last band Norman recorded before he passed.
this is art

Sun was out before Atlantic? Settle down. No it wasn't.
True.
Sun started in 1952, but Atlantic was set up in 1947.

It's funny how The Beatles were pushing the envelope with studio technology, and ever since guitar bands have been trying to get back.
Sometimes I think Elvis has a bigger and loyal fan base outside of the USA than in his homeland.

whats the first song called?
Blue Moon Of Kentucky. Originally a bluegrass by Bill Monroe, Elvis did it rockabilly style in 1954.
A nineteen fifty studio great!
Nice old preserved American equipment. He must have a high wattage frequency converter to operate it
Did The Doors ever use a similar sound recording equipments?
Absolutely. They did indeed record with gear that was getting real long in the tooth in the late 60's early 70's.
They all used this equipment back then because it was the best they had at the time.
That's fun.
It will also make real artists of those who participate.
Wow! It really does sound like it was recorded in the 50's. Producers try to get that 50's sound using modern equipment and it never works.
