    Your Alpine Bloom is gorgeous. Well done. We don’t mind your ‘spinning’ chat. Andrea talks about it, truly myrtle has her wheel out as well. Getting very popular. I just can’t get all the knitting done - especially when you show such beautiful patterns and gorgeous yarn. Even though I am retired where does the time go. Love your chats.

    Love the yarn substitution for the Alpine Bloom jersey. Now that you are a very good spinner you will be able to make your own spin cycle type yarn. Exciting times ahead 😀👏🤩👏😀

    Love hearing all your cast ons and yarn ideas. Love your alpine bloom. Looks so stunning !!! I’ve knit the helix cardigan and made the round neck version. I’ve also just bought the weekender crew - never like the original boat neck. And another designer who I’ve a few designs of is Isabelle Kramer. Gorgeous simple designs !!

    Hi Lisa. You've given me the nudge I needed to get my spinning wheel out. I bought it during lockdown and am scared of it. Had a lesson but I was rubbish at it. Think I might sit quietly by myself and try again.

      @UnwindandKnitwithMe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you should. practice makes perfect is what i tell myself, my spinning definitely needs more practice. I find it so relaxing and rewarding, now all i need is more time.

    Love your podcasts Lisa. Your Alpine Bloom is superb. The e spinner is lovely and can see how portable and convenient it is. Your samples are gorgeous. What a fabulous place you went to for a little break. The falling snow was lovely. Thankyou for the advice on the chiagoo products, through you I am getting a nice supply now and great storage. Do you categorise your favourites in your ravelry a/c. Can you show us how to do that if you do so.Always look forward to the next video.

      Hi Shirley, thank you for supporting my podcast and online store. I really do not use Ravelry to its full potential and to be honest i need to learn more about it myself. I don't categorise anything, I have so many patterns in my favorites that it is ridiculous. I need to make more time to learn about the programme. Im sure there would be TH-cam tutorials i should watch.

    I hear you about the spin cycle! I had to go into the second skein for 2 rows! 2 rows! At $45 Canadian a skein - not cool lol. Yours is beautiful and I would not have known any different! The Alpine Bloom is a beautiful knit. Can’t wait to see it finished.

    your substitution on the Alpine Bloom is beautiful - and may I say this yarn snobbery has to stop - who the heck is Spin Cycle anyway what are they using spun gold?or yarn - it's just piffle.

    • @christinevalentine3373
      @christinevalentine3373 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had a completely different take on the comment. Spin Cycle is a couple of American women who started out hand spinning local wool, so it’s a closed loop business. I thought that person was complimentary, that the wool was so lovely and well spun that it was comparable to machine spun yarn and the colours were so lovely it looked exotic. I feel the same as you though about locally bought hand spun, hand dyed wool. It is much better to support our local wool producers and dyers if we can and when we choose to, then buy from other countries who have similar sustainable practices.

    • @UnwindandKnitwithMe
      @UnwindandKnitwithMe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree that spin cycle is very unique and i really enjoyed using it for my Calypso sweater and I will use it again in the future. In saying that the local hand dyed and hand spun is also very unique and special, and it is so good to support these local talented people.
      thank you for sharing

      @UnwindandKnitwithMe  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you, I think it is really good to show substitutions as we all have different budgets. Thera are a lot of beautiful patterns that feature spin cycle so it's good to get that message out there so knitters are not put off and they know they can yarn substitute for great results.

      @@UnwindandKnitwithMe Yes, I completely agree. ⭐️ The diversity of beautiful yarns is so wonderful. We have so much to choose from. I do love your colour sense, the selections are always gorgeous.

    Thank you for another most enjoyable podcast, especially all your pattern finds and ideas for accompanying wool.
    Your colour work on the alpine bloom is stunning!!
    Lisa, did you see - th-cam.com/video/BTZZkFLBQuI/w-d-xo.html - it is an interview done with Elizabeth from Amikihia Knits earlier today. Thought you maybe interested.
    And don't under-estimate the recycled yarn from Wild Earth Yarns - I knitted the Tii Pullover by Joji Locatelli in it and as far as value for money goes, you can't beat it.
    Have a great week,
