      @@angelosborne8845 thats gingivitis, a gum disease. Ask the dentist about it. But generally after a deep clean, youre fine. The gum is bleeding because they are scraping the gum line. But when u are brushing, u should softly brush your gum line to increase blood circulation and to get rid of plaque. Plaque causes tarter. So no plaque, no tarter. I was never taught proper dental care. I was more so bullied for the fact that my teeth were stained. I wasn’t taught a bunch of things and it made me feel like abnormal from all the other kids or adults. I felt like an outsider cause of their pretty teeth. In 2020 I finally took the initiative to take care of my teeth. I was starting to notice certain things like a feces like smell from my gums. It got to the point that if I didn’t brush my teeth, they’d hurt until I did. I went through a near fatal depression period during that time. And it really played a part on my confidence so I started really taking care of them. For months I have been using raw baking soda and my favorite toothpaste twice a day and someone complimented me on my breath and my teeth! It made me very happy and boosted my confidence. I still need to book a dentist appointment but good progress!!

      Try not to think of it as a deep cleaning. That sounds really intense. The truth is, all hygiene appointments at their core are the same. Detect the calculus/tartar, and remove it. May be you have more than someone who attends regularly, maybe the measurements down the side of your teeth are deeper than 4mm, but in essence you're getting the same type of treatment that someone who sees a hygienist every 6 months does. Good luck! ❤

    • @animeminians7451
      @animeminians7451 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Infinite Worfare Tartar comes from the buildup of food around your teeth which derives from a lack of brushing your teeth and it contains bacteria that harms your teeth. Just because it's there doesn't mean it's a good thing, dirt that builds up on the body such as in the ear, neck, or anywhere else is obviously not a good sign or your body "placing it there for a reason" it's just yucky build up that isn't necessary and causes issues and inconveniences like ear wax.

    Because my dentist told me I don’t need my wisdoms removed about 7 years ago, I now have slightly crowded front bottom teeth. Last deep cleaning I’ve had was 6 years ago. From age 21-23 I had a major depressive episode and during that time I hardly brushed my teeth and flossing was definitely off the menu. At 24 I bounced back thankfully in many ways yet I stills struggle to put my self care first, I have been so embarrassed to make another dentist appointment because I had a calculus bridge.
    I got a tool off Amazon much similar to the one from this video and WOWWWW was I mind blown at the results. First of all, it was soooo satisfying to use. I know you’re not supposed to do stuff like this at home, but the results and how clean my teeth look/feel now are amazzzzzing.
    The calculus bridge is virtually nonexistent now. I did have a little bleeding but it subsided quick. Now I can make a dentist appointment without feeling so ashamed (although frankly there is nothing to be ashamed of)
    I can still use a professional cleaning but these results have me wondering why I never became a dental hygienist LOL.

That dentist was being so rude and knew I was crying from the pain of the cleaning but he still proceeded. He just wanted the money I guess. As you can see in this video, such cleaning causes blood loss from your gums. You can see blood in this video! It hurts to remove tartar. Plus they will frown upon you for not going to the dentist every year, hence the pain I felt while removing tartar. They just want your money, and dont care if you are hurt. It sucks. But hey, your ancestors survived without having to go to the dentist every year. Just brush your teeth well, and maybe once in 5 or 10 years you can do tartar removal if you see too much build up

You have to consider that the person doing the cleaning has done this probably 10,000 time or more. They have seen every set of teeth and gums imaginable and know exactly where it might hurt a tiny bit and no all the tricks to ensure it is not an unpleasant experience. If the only reson you are not having this done is for fear of pain, you really should just do it overcome that fear. Your mouth and teeth feel so clean after its remarkable.

    I neglected routine dental care for over a decade as I didn’t have insurance. I noticed that my gums would bleed regularly as I brushed my teeth. Since getting my FIRST proper dental cleaning, I haven’t seen ANY bleeding AT ALL!
    I like to believe I do a good job of maintaining my oral hygiene, but I really did have a lot of inflammation and couldn’t understand what my gums were trying to tell me.

    I went on here to watch this video before my deep cleaning. Had major anxiety and the usual white coat syndrome! I’ve been putting off dentist visits for so long that build up was so bad! Just got my deep cleaning done yesterday and honestly I don’t know what I was so scared about! I had some pain afterwards as the anesthesia wore off and my bottom gums were definitely sore but I took some ibuprofen and just did a salt water rinse!

      The ultrasonics definitely do a much better job than you’re probably thinking 😁 the water actually helps to irrigate the sulcus around the tooth. So it’s actually flushing out what it’s blasting off at the same time. This tool does more heavy lifting with less stress on the hygienist. Love these things.

    I just had mine done in Brazil (teeth cleaning) (the dentist was amazing and hi tech) but let me tell you it HURTS! I could feel all my teeth nerves, she had to push real hard, one point she got the drill thing (whatever it’s called) stuck between two of my bottom teeth and she struggled to pull it out. My teeth plague was no where near this bad but she had to keep going for half an hour longer , and I have to go back for a second session. The pain was a 9/10

    I actually had worse tar tar than this. it was mainly on my bottom teeth and it was due to negligence of dental care when I was a kid. If anyone is curious how the procedure went in case you are scared or just simply curious, it got removed very easily. The pain was so mild that it’s easily tolerable. It’s just a weird sensitive feeling when they are removing it. The whole procedure was more of a discomfort rather than actual pain. Funnily enough I was blessed to not have any cavities or any other teeth or gum issues even due to my heavy tartar. I hope it helps people call their anxiety and to go see a dentist. The procedure only took like 10 minutes too. The scary stuff you see online can really make you think the worst stuff but 9/10 people won’t have THAT much of a dire issue.

    Hello again , 👋🏼 I also had the bone graft. But I'll be having the deep cleaning and I'm nervous I had PTSD from dental trauma. I also have a heart mumur and although I'm 47 I still need to take the antibiotics before the deep cleaning and of course my anxiety meds
    ..I'm really nervous but also feeling very courageous. Because years ago I wanted to do be in Entertainment, film theater and I use to do commercial modeling . But years later I was in a horrific car accident and lost my my front tooth I was 25 years old ..then I went to the dentists that a year later was sured for nsl practice ..in other words I wasn't the only patient that he injured both physically and mentally ..and every since then I became afraid ..no . Terrified of the dentist even getting X-rays would trigger me and cause me to cry . Luckily for me I have a dentist now where the whole office down to the janitor lol is sOOO kind and patient with me. They totally understand. And they are all watching my bravery progress 😊 I believe I'm in good hands .but alot of times people don't understand the story behind why someone lets their dental hygiene go . Before the trauma I would often get compliments on my smile , now I barely smile and have learned to even talk where my missing tooth doesn't show .
    But I trust that soon I'll be able to smile big again ..in fact I love smiling , laughing ..sometimes I feel guilty for being so afraid . I'm pretty courageous in all other areas of my life .but again , you just never know what a person has gone through. I can do social media very well because I can hide my smile or the condition of my teeth better . But in person there will be no meet and greets lol 😂 not till I get back my smile . It really has affected my self esteem although I'm attracted. Id much rather be healthy annnd attractive.

    How fast can plaque turn into calculus?

    • @YKDDS91
      @YKDDS91 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      About 2 weeks or so. But plaque can start hardening as fast as 48 hours after plaque build-up (and plaque builds up within hours after eating). It depends on the mineral content of your saliva, your diet, and our oral hygiene habits.

      @@joyceheishman8425 so what dentist won’t tell you very often as it hurts their bottom line is, diet plays a huge roll as well as genetics. While sugar is a big problem when it comes to oral health a poor diet over all plays a huge roll. Outside of that, some people are more prone to tarter build up no matter what they do. There are natural things you can do at home to help prevent plaque from sticking to the teeth. Again, won’t here a dentist tell you these things.

Never taught me of any dental hygiene. when they smell my breath they just said to brush my teeth. I finally got my tartar built up removed when i was already in college. The tuition and misc i paid includes dental care, so i took advantage of it. Tho our school dentist does it rough and has "heavy" hands. I'm still okay with that having nothing at all. But they don't offer tooth extraction so i got my decaying tooth removed 3 years after i graduated and got a job. I'm still struggling to get my teeth cleaned yearly by the dentist.
