Hi, thnx for all your videos. You're a legend, learned a lot today.
I have a problem with a MacBook Air 2017, when I press the power button the fan spins for 1 second, and then nothing happens, I've taken the mainboard out, so nothing impacts it, No corrosion, and nothing is heating up on the board, the charger shows that orange sign. Ive tested that fuse, both sides have 8.5 volts.
What could be the problem?
I can also turn it on, if I hold the power button for 5 sexonds or so, but its so slow, so its impossible to use it.

You likely need to replace the SMC.

Great video! I have a strange one: A 2017 820-00165 that had corroision on the u1950 and q8150 which I replaced from a known good donor board(and surrounding components). I now have fan spin and green light but no chime and no usb activity (CPU/PCH heatsink gets warm). vcore has 1.8v, and 3.3v on pm_slp_s4_l. However if I probe all_sys_pwrgd to check voltage with my MM, the motherboard shuts off. The motherboard will pwr back up if I remove and reseat magsafe. I'm guessing internal PCH issue maybe? (visually looks ok)

Could be a break in a trace for R8156 or weak/missing 3V3_S5, or something not feeding in, or something pulling down (weakly) around R8167
