What complaints did you have with the NHX esc? I just bought one for a 2500 lipostock car.

I had Marcus build me one of the regular R1s and love it but am a noob so can’t really compare to others.

The reflex rx28se is 500.00 - for a tubbed pan car winning championships a proven chassis - this mwx is promising

Yeah it wins championships but still not paying 500 for a 1/28th.. Do I have 1/28th's with over 500 bucks into them I do but that was my choice and they didn't cost 500 off rip....I didn't say they were bad or anything I just said me personally I'm not gonna pay 500 for a chassis I don't take it that seriously I like to race and compete and win but mostly like the people I meet and the fun I have with them and others enjoying the hobby...

Not that pricy when you consider comparing products. It is a little expensive wish it was @ $400 like r.1 but it has all new body, includes all tuning parts. And $60 PN diff…HOw much is the GL f1 you drove with all the proper parts… yeah MWX is actually a decent value lol like you said car is simpler than other cars yet performance is same if not better!

Yeah no on the price for that thing I could damn near buy a 5th scale I love my mini-z's but 500 bucks for a 1/28th no way sorry...

I can't speak to what makes this specific car expensive to produce. However, I can say that manufacturing at this scale is very expensive. The tolerances needed to get slop-free parts are way way smaller and harder to produce than at any other scale. Molded parts are extremely hard. Getting molds built to the required tolerances can take a lot of time, effort, and cost. Everyone is focused on the rising costs of kits. However, looking outside of the costs of the kit, the running costs are really where you save with 28th scale. Tires are one of the biggest costs to go racing. When I'm not running 28th, I run a lot of 10th scale clay. A set of clay slicks will run you $50-75 depending on where you buy and if you reuse wheels and that set will get you through one club race. You can get a set of tires for $15 and get a bunch of packs out of them. That's where the true savings is.

car includes all springs and a 60.00 PN gear dif that EVERYONE runs. so add 60 to any other kit and another 20 for option springs. sale shock at first but if you think about it you dont have to buy anything else and can win national races! i won two nationals this year with the box setup!

I built a pn 2.5w from scratch to be competitive in stock class. Cost just over $650. Size is irrelevant to cost. The engineering and precision needed in manufacturing is critical on 1/28th scale. You gotta pay to play.
