I was mainly looking at the animation quality and it’s no exception. You did really well with making it into the quality of a Disney animation. The way the expressions where the movements where outstanding. Great job and I hope to see more.

@@Weeklongwind647 i think a lot of people fail to give credit to the earlier years of animation. there’s stuff from 40-50 years ago that top best stuff from today in terms of skill. i don’t really understand when people say “how is this 10-15 years old?” to praise any good animation.

Basically all Pixar moms have some sort of T H I C C N E S S going on.
A perfect example is Elasta Girl from The Incredibles
Very fun concept. He loves his family and wants to spend time with them, but at the same time he just doesn’t get their social cues and doesn’t put in enough effort to be considerate.
Also, the dog is amazing. I wanna see more of Bogus.
I love how Sam’s eyes start glowing when he hears about the “boyfriend situation”

Look at that dad, still singing as he's pushing the car in the rain, dog howling, daughter screaming, and wife angry. He is devoted to that vacation, and one heck of a cool guy.
It isn't even a vacation, they're moving.
0:47 He says "I thought we were going on vacation, not moving," in what sounds like a very sarcastic tone, suggesting that he's just a little annoyed at all of the things they're packing. At least, that's how I interpreted it.

This is still amazing to this day, the animation, the designs, the background, and the audio, it's not just stagnant voices, even without looking you can picture what type of environment they are in based on the sounds of their voices.

It's a shame, they seem to have their only achievement known to be their work in Trollhunters, but all their projects seem to not get past short clips/teasers and become real. The last activity was 2017 on Facebook but seems like that was just Trollhunters concept art since that was their main thing. All their projects seem to have ended long before that. It's a shame, a lot of them looked cute and well done, probably would've been a good watch, if only they got off the ground. I'd like to see some new work by them, if not teasers becoming finished, but I won't hold my breath, given the most recent video I can find seems to be 7 years old, and this one now being 10. Was cute, though!
Every so often I come back to this short, and I’m always very charmed by it. The sketchy style, the voice acting and, my personal favorite, the animation on the monster dad. His design is incredible, and I love the fluid movements. Wish I could see a film with this kind of animation on the big screen

12 years later and this animation blows my mind. We need to go back to traditionally animated movies.
The animation is top quality, I wish the industry would go back to this hand drawn style. It has more soul and creativity from my point of view. Excellent work to the animators and writers top this short film masterpiece 👌

I’ve always loved hand drawn animation made in a digital program
It’s a good mix of stuff that is hard to describe
I like how the eyes went from “spooky all-white” to “cartoony”
And NGL This film looks like it’s made from Disney!
Holy shit, this animation has incredible attention to detail! How the characters and objects cast shadows and reflections, and the fluid movement: awesome!

It's probably a glass eye because she is blind in one eye.

At 0:33, the father's eyes are glowing and white when he's in "scare mode". Perhaps she can't control it and it's just always white.

The animation is honestly of one the best hand drawn independent animations I thus seen so far. Very fluid and the character design unique. The color really suited the art style and was very humoring. I really wished this could've been a movie or something.
BTW, from what I see of this animation of the parents to the little girl, the girl has the mother's hair color and the humans side from her. But from the dad she has her father's teeth, her father's eye and her father's head shape.

I just love traditional animations like this. It's so fluint and smooth. And the sketchy-ish lines gives a nice touch to the style.
I believe you mean frame by frame animations, traditional would be as in made in paper, like Disney's older movies, but yeah, certainly gives a heck of a look to it

This is why I appreciate hand drawn animation more than CGI. CGI may look impressive, but when you have talented artists work well with a paper and pencil and they bring out such fluidity and style with hand drawn animation, it's friggin' wonderful.

As someone who spent 60 percent of their teenage life moving from house to house, I can conclude that this animation is very depressing.
But I can say whoever made this did a very good job. I don't know why, but I like the stationwaggon.

Where this has been all my life,its one of the most beautiful things i ever seen,the animation its sooo smooth,hte voices are very well done and the story its simple but funny,and the desing of the characters is unique,i love it

The animation in this is stellar. I definitely prefer it over most contemporary styles of animation that we're inundated with these days. It's got a warm Don Bluth and rotoscope vibe, but dynamic surreal cartoony motion to compliment it perfectly.
13 years later, i think it's safe to say this isn't gonna become a full fleshed movie..... it could've been like a mitchells vs the machines type movie, like having the same core message

This seems to have that hard-to-place kind of charm that I love about some movies.
