Thanks GlobalNCAP for bringing out the reality by these tests
They just got strickter.
Same car scored 3star in previous test
@@ayush4565 yes. Protocols for the test are stricter as they have made side impact tests mandatory and other things as well. But that 3 stars were true for the model sold in African markets where perhaps they upgraded safety features silently.
They are confusing Indian consumers without mentioning the criteria of scoring.
@@infinitebeing1119 whatever it is they are bringing the reality in front of Indian consumer
I think every car which doesn’t have curtain airbags will score lesser stars than previous if tested again with these new norms. Because earlier side impacts was not necessarily tested.
This one is an old ignis I am ignis owner I also met an accident however only bumper got damage. Love for ignis,
He was totaled at 5kmph😂😂😂😂
By this we all can see how hard the new norms of tests have been
Good job!
Now the cars which would get 3 stars would also be considered not as bad as the cars which got 3 earlier
3 stars are also not good....
Nothing below 5 ⭐️
Its the same old video tested before 3 years
How come 16.48 out of 34 is 1 Star. It is almost half of the total points. 19.19 out of 34 for Swift is 1 star.. but 29.45 for Scorpio is 5 star... What logic ncap has got ?
That’s what I thought huh
29.45 for Mahindra is 5 stars
However 29.45 for Maruti will equal to about 2 stars :D
That's Globalncap for you!
Ncap is shit!
@toxdrigaming1864 its more marcketing stretagey to capture maruti marcket n supported or perhaps funded by politics 😂
These are new norms by gncap. Scorpio was tested in the previous norm.
Ignis have performed well in practical accidents..have saved passengers with minor injuries.. In that case swift rating should be minus 3 stars..
None of the TATA cars have been tested with the updated 2022 July NCAP norms. If a 3 star car (IGNIS earlier was given 3 stars by the same organization) can get 1 as per the updated norms, then it is bound for TATA cars to get less stars if tested with the updated norms. Tata Tiago is going to get not more than 2 stars if tested now with this updated norms.

cry tin can car 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁....
@@ronishane Although I am also tata mahindra fan but somewhat he is right, because due to new norms ,side impact testing is now nessasary and any car which doesn’t have curtain or side airbags will score far lesser than they obtained previously.
Abbe jhatu Ignis sold in Europe and Ignis sold in India do not have the same safety standards to comply with.
I don't get it. The Cabin integrity seems good. The same car was given I guess 3 stars back in 2017-18. But updated norms give it 1 star. Does it mean the car is built different from 2017 one or is testing different.
Testing on different merit it's the same car
Global ncap is not a trust worthy platform to test Indian cars, it is constantly defaming maruti suzuki who is volume seller in India and makes it economical and easy to afford
thank god i was going to book this . Better going with Tata Punch.. Eagerly waiting results of new Brezza , Venue & Baleno
Bhai biluk sahi kiya
i own this car.i bought in the year 2017.That time it scored 3 star. Don't know why it is testing again.

Where did ncap acquire pre 2019 model of ignis, why is old model being tested 0:09
I'm happy that the airbags opened
Why test with the earlier model?
This is not the latest Ignis which has different front styling.
Hard to see any Maruti/Hyundai/Kia car getting above 2 starts with the updated testing norms.
Bro Many cars from hyundai above 3 star, except Santro and Nios
FUN FACT : S-PRESSO IS THE HIGHEST RATED(IN TERMS OF POINTS IN ADULT SAFETY) AMONG THE RECENTLY TESTED MARUTI SUZUKI CARS
Usko bhi 1 star mila hai. 20 points hai uske. Very bad score. 0 Safety

Was this test conducted recently? This is the old Ignis, the new Ignis has a different front grill and rear bumper.
Didn't the exact same india spec car score 3 stars? Even if the crash test norms have changed, shouldn't make such a big difference
That time only front crash was tested but now side impact is also tested
Norms are being updated from 2017 to 2022
@@jitakshardevchoudhury6856 why can't gncap care to explain the details about the norms that have changed?

I believe this standard safety is not shared with the EU market since the ignis in Europe has 6 airbags (lateral) and comes with pedestrian radar etc etc… can someone clarify ? I read that in the EU they come fully equipped, but the same doesn’t happen with “maruti” version in India, or Australia
Yes that's the truth. Maruti Suzuki launches cheap quality vehicles with most of them are with poor passenger protection in countries like India and some others. But it's same opposite in Europe and and gulf countries
Celerio ko test hua hai kya ?
Front offset formidable barrier test shows the old clip..... Where the ignis scored 3 stars ? .... Why nobody is noticing it
Bcoz now norms are more strict
bhai side wala naya add kiya hai na..tum notice karo..side se bhi crash test kiya and mobile barrier which was not done earlier, with just two air bags how can it score more.. air bags aur add kiye to wapas 3 star ho jayegi.
Seriously disappointing
I thought it would be atleast 3 stars but ye it's still maruti
Bsdk suzuki bol 51 % se jyada share suzuki ka h
Minutely watch the 1st crash test video with old Ignis. In 2021 new facelift has already been launched. How they got the old one. This is the same video of 2019 crash test. I think global ncap are manipulating the results

Norms have changed now all the cars which were tested earlier, now will drop by 1-2 stars easily considering 6 airbags standard, esc, airbag on/off control, etc. The companies need to add in these features, however the structure of the car performed same only as earlier.
Jise dev manus samajhte the wo to kuch aur hi nikla💀
We need Scorpio classic crash test 🙏
But this is the old model ignis...not 2020 facelift model...should have tested on latest model
Not able to understand the car used for frontal impact was actually old model of ignis and for side impact its the current one so how they are cumulate the results, Its a serious question.
Exactly. The entire NCAP thing is a sponsored joke.
They tested ignis old model not the new model(generation) currently available in India.
Suzuki needs to seriously consider stepping up it's safety game with both the Ignis and Swift 2 airbags isn't enough in today's world of safety
Airbags are not the only reason..the material used for making the body car also matter....Hyundai Suzuki use low steel quality in certain parts of the car for Indian Market and use good steel for EU markets
European version has side airbags
we should appreciate the consistency of maruti.. all these test are one star.. this is the value of your life for maruti india.. I would never buy from this brand.. apart from engines..nothing good about it.. taking customer for granted ..
Not sure it seems like the old video. Global ncap can only answer it Why only side impact shown in video.
Isn't this the 2017 model?
Tata nano ko kitne milenge?
Ignis recently start eating up Punch sale, previously Tata doesn't have any car which they can call "Small SUV", since they have competition now so let's defame it once again with same old video (just check old ignis test video). NCAP is no saint here they do like to make money. There are hell lot of car which is untested but NCAP will repeat it's test on ignis just like when Kwid use to be the competitor of Tiago. Just check how many times it get tested but when facelift Tiago start competing with above segment all of a sudden testing on Kwid stopped. Even after facelift they didn't test Kwid. Trusting a Brand and respecting it's Chairman for his nobel cause should not make us think their lower marketing management will not act smart to increase their sales.
Also no idea why they are testing the current gen swift and ignis that are already at the last phase of their life cycle..While they havent tested Harrier or safari from tata still.
Abhrajit -Well said
Nailed it...
Looking for Baleno breza and venue
You guys shared the same video for frontal crash, that was shared for the South tafrica car....
Please don't put your credibility in question @GNCAP....

I think Global NCAP must do crash test speed of 10km/hr for only maruti suzuki cars so I am dam sure that anyone can't get disappointment...
Still would get 2 stars
Test with new ignis model. Why this old car testing is uploading now?
This test was earlier one...see that ignis rear side...its older one....

As i remember Ignis selling in UK has scored 3 stars. It is evident that Maruti suzuki did cost cutting in its build quality for Indian versions. It is not a cheaper car it is same price of Tata Punch. People will still buy such substandard cars. The think 'accident will not happen to me'
If you live in Western country with city speeds under 50km an hour, with speed camera's mobile phone cameras and you need a cheap, reliable, economical, fit anywhere car this is a great 2nd vehicle to have !
Maruti cars are genuinely pretty good but they lack one of the most important things which is safety but they know the Indian customer base and we can clearly see they know cause they have been selling the most cars in India for decades

29 points pr 5 stars aare hai or 19 stars pr 1 star aara hai kya logic hai yeh or jis ignis ka crash test kr rhe ho vo old ignis thi jisko 3 star mile hue the kisi se pese lekr ye crash test kr rhe ho kya
FUZUKI : "PARAMPARAA.... PRATHISHTHA.... ANUSHAASAN"
Ignis was declared 3* earlier , now why it reduced to 1 star?
This particular car is not made in India hence 1 star...
ASEAN vs GNCAP
It's new stricter protocols which made this car fail in this test....
Newer gncap ratings include side impact test. As these cars only provide 2 airbags, they are bound to lose stars in the side test, making it score lower than previous tests conducted.
Brother look at the old video of crash test of ignis, this car is in it and it has 3 star ratting but it has 1 star while both the videos look same.
Last time it scored 3stars, stiil it's the same model just a facelift version launched a few years back. Don't know why ncap tested again this car

Side impact is now also included.

Why are you testing selected cars. Test the new models launched in india as well - like baleno, brezza etc.

Well done Maruti Suzuki at least u did not score 🥚 in the test results. Wonderful ☠️
But this is older version!!
Want brezza baleno facelift crash test
@Global NCAP test Hyundai cars
This is one of the best Suzuki cars in international market and Maruti makes the build quality abysmal in the Indian variant. They literally took away structural members from the Indian variant of the platform in order to reduce the price of the car. The international variant scored 5 stars in European tests while the Indian variant scored 1 star in gncap🤦♂️
Here two models are tested. Grey color is old model.( old video?)
Dark Blue color is facelifted version tested for side impact.
For Frontal & Side impact tests ,only facelifted model must have been tested.
This is FRAUD!
What else to expect by maruti cars
Older generation was good
Just curious to know that does the Global NCAP accepted in Europe , UK , USA ?
Most of the developed countries are followed Euro NCAP.
Sometimes I felt this GNCAP made for TATA marketing 😂
