Episode 15: We are now staring our Journey to the Unknowns of the Ladakh. Starting from Hanle, we will go towards Tso Moriri via Loma & Nyoma. This Route is Extremely Remote & extremely difficult. It requires a lot of patience, guts & needs a Skilled rider but it will take us to a place we cannot Fathom i.e tso Moriri. The level is going to go up from here. Fasten your seat belts because the second half of our Ladakh Trip is going to be the greatest adventure one can take, so hop on with us on this Amazing adventure which is going to take a Complete turn from now. The trips Starts Now.
Tso Moriri or Lake Moriri or "Mountain Lake", is a lake in the Ladakhi part of the Changthang Plateau in Jammu and Kashmir in Northern India. The lake and surrounding area are protected as the Tso Moriri Wetland Conservation Reserve.
The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m (14,836 ft). It is the largest of the high altitude lakes entirely within India and entirely within Ladakh in this Trans-Himalayan biogeographic region. It is about 16 miles (26 km) north to south in length and two to three miles (3 to 5 km) wide. The lake has no outlet at present and the water is brackish though not very perceptible to taste.
The lake is fed by springs and snow-melt from the adjacent mountains. Most water enters the lake in two major stream systems, one entering the lake from the north, the other from the southwest. Both stream systems include extensive marshes where they enter the lake. It formerly had an outlet to the south, but this has become blocked and the lake has become a endorheic lake. The lake is oligotrophic in nature, and its waters are alkaline.
Accessibility to the lake is largely limited to summer season, though Karzok on the northwest shore and the military facilities on the eastern shores have year-round habitation.

Bikers eagerly wait for the news of leh manali highway getting open every year. The craze of going ladakh cannot be seized by one and every year more and more tourist check off Ladakh from their bucket list to visit back again. We being our traveler self witnessed all this and carried all the memories in our heart and came back with a promise to show you Ladakh like never before. The series is going to be epic. Route: Delhi - Srinagar - Kargil - Leh - Manali - Delhi.
Ladakh ("land of high passes") is a region in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir that currently extends from the Siachen Glacier in the Karakoram range to the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Jammu and Kashmir and its culture and history are closely related to that of Tibet. Ladakh is renowned for its remote mountain beauty and culture.
The largest town in Ladakh is Leh, followed by Kargil. The government of Jammu and Kashmir created a separate administrative division from Kashmir division with headquarters on rotational basis 6month(summer) in kargil and 6month in leh(winter) Tibetan Buddhists (39.7%) and Hindus (12.1%) collectively represent the majority of the population while a plurality of Ladakhis (46.4%) are Muslims (mainly Shia).

We had been to Leh ,ladakh on an extensive trip,with friends.two of us were +60,and other two + 70.everyone warned us about altitude problems,but we enjoyed the wonderful ,unique transhimalayan trip.i relived the trip today. your video is energetic and beautiful.

Tso moriri isn't as famous as Pangong but after visiting both, I think Tso Moriri is more scenic and more eye catching than Pangong.
