I played SMITE 1 since 2015, got one of the most interesting(skin-wise) accounts, and put plenty of money into SMITE 1. Honestly? I couldn't care less about my old skins. I genuinely enjoy the mechanics of SMITE 2, the game is much better, more interesting, and more strategically interesting. I been in plenty of ranked ranks on smite 1. And I completely enjoy starting from the bottom. I've already purchased more than 5 smite 2 skins, not including the founder's pack. TBF? I get why people are a bit mad, but it's a new game. You support a game, so you support a game. Did I lose plenty of skins? It doesn't stop me from getting new ones. If you read this comment I want you to know SMITE 2 IS WAY BETTER THAN SMITE 1, It's a fact, people. Take or leave. You don't need to go crazy, and if we are already bringing analogies, I have more than 10k hours on GTA 5, do I expect them to give me free stuff on GTA 6? Do I sit and talk shit about the game cause I lost my levels and "achievements"? Absolutely not. Join SMITE 2 OR DON'T, just be fair, because you all know, SMITE 2 is better.
I agree, i had a shitload of skin, i got almost 100k legacy gem on smite 2 to give an idea. Losing the sking is fine because the game is tremendously better
You nailed it! You said everything I have been feeling the past 6 months. I started smite in December of 2015 on Xbox. Thousands of skins, but I trust Hirez devs. Business wise, there were some failures… but that’s life! They keep cooking, or then they would have to lay everyone off. I support smite because I love the game and it’s my most played game ever for a reason. So why doom and gloom over something I have faith in that will get better? True fans can be disappointed, but still have trust that it will get better. Hope to see you in the smite 2 queues sometime soon 🤝
1000 hours in smite 1, loads of skins bought, loads of gods played that aren’t in Smite 2. To see a game I loved that much get a sequel, with new shit to do, new gods, graphics update etc is just great. Now I get to be all hyped up again when my favourites come over as well.
Yeah, I was there for the ow1 ow2 fiasco and when people compare the two I just laugh. I wasn’t sure how HiRez would turn this around but boy they’ve done a great job. Haven’t played in a month or so but I’ll be back for the patch. Hope this game has massive success
I havent paid attention to anything Smite 2 related for the past few months. Mainly because I got bored of the game. Now Im hearing about this whole aspect system and stuff. I high key feel like Im super behind on what's been added.
Its Hella fun. It won't take you long to catch up with how the gods play. When you play ullr for the first time it will shock you how smooth that God feels.
@jordanweaver3448 They've said that porting skins costs a lot of man power, time and money. They're only porting a few of the most popular as a result.
@@itstroy4145 I'm not saying it's a problem. I don't' remember the skins I'm losing, so I don't' care. What I'm saying is people complaining about the game because they lose their skins are hurting the chances of getting their skins back. If they want any hope of getting their skins transferred, they should promote the game and hope smite 2 becomes a massive success.
11:38 i bought the god pack for like 15 dollars on sale and its easily the best 15 dollars i have ever spent. Its the most money to value you will get in any game
i stopped playing smite because unfortunately the group i played with just you know....started to get a life so i eventually stopped playing and never really went back but when i saw them making smite 2 with a new engine i was personally excited. instead of getting rid of the first smite they are going out of their way to make a new one while trying to use new mechanics they couldnt really do or didnt try to because the playerbase was already set in stone how they wanted the game to be. Honestly im pretty excited and im actually planning on playing smite 2 i was simply waiting for it to go f2p instead of buying into it like i did before
I have 60k legacy gems and like 3000 hours on smite, and I gotta say the best smite-related purchase was the founder's pack for the second game because it's wayyyyy more fun lol, props to hi-rez and I'm eagerly awaiting cabrakan dropping in smite 2!
I'd like to throw out a word as someone who got into Smite this November. I used to be a league of legends like apparently many of the newer players. I experimented with different MOBAs such as Heroes of the Storm, and ultimately decided to give Smite a try which was the one I enjoyed the most. When downloading Smite I had no idea that a "Smite 2" was even a concept and realized it only after downloading the game, thinking that I downloaded a game that is pretty much dying. However, I am seeing that the devs really love their product and put great care into both the old smite, and the upcoming smite 2. I am feeling a bit sceptical about missing a few of my skins, but I believe that this can be fixed in future updates and maybe they'll bring old skins back alongside new ones as time goes on. As an ex league of legends player, I can appreciate that the characters and the game itself is handled with a lot of care and the changes are well thought out and nothing too drastic. The kits are largely the same, they mostly look like improvements rather than any drastic changes, the basic appearance and personality is the same, the lore stays the same... it seems like anything they do is an upgrade rather than a replacement. And while I will miss Smite if it goes online, I believe that anything left behind in Smite 1 will eventually find its way on the new game. From what Ive gathered, Smite 2 is essentially a new engine that allows them to do things for the game not previously possible with the old one. Lets see where this goes, and if its bad, everyone can express their complains and the devs might do something about it.
Played since guan release. Smite has been "dying" since closed beta lmaooo. I love smite 2. Its outright better. Even my friends that dont like league or MOBAs enjoy smite. I spent over 4,000 dollars on the game over 12 years (not proud) but it brought me enjoyment and i am more than happy to jump over to smite 2.
The whole skin argument just confuses me. With literally every live service game, there will come a day where it goes offline and you can't play anymore. All the money you put into the game = gone. Would these people be just as mad if Smite 1 shut down, and there was no Smite 2? Like idk about them, but I'm just glad I can keep playing one of my favorite games in the sequel, skins or not. I bought skins in Smite 1 to show my support for the devs, and keep the game alive. With the insane amount of work being put into Smite 2, and the drastic changes they've been able to make in just a few short months, I will GLADLY continue to buy new skins if it means the game keeps getting better and sticks around another 12+ years. Great video as always my man!
Confused why everyone is mad about Smite releasing a sequel after over a decade when other title release games every year. You don't get to keep your COD skins when they release a new game every 10 minutes. Why do people think smite 1 skins are these precious commodities that should transfer to everything. The legacy gem system is more than 99% of developers would ever do. If you're that worried about smite 1 skins, you either spent too much or you have so little money you shouldn't have bought skins in the first place.
How dumb are these people? The car analogy doesn’t even work because if you buy a car and trade it in on a new one you get a severely diminished trade value. Hi-Rez is giving you more “trade value” on their second game than any dealer will ever give you! They have gone above and beyond trying to make smite 2 good and reimburse their players. If you are so butt hurt your skin is gone then good! You need to grow up and spend your money better. Nice video Weak3n I love watching break down this brain rot.
yo I bought smite 2 yesterday and played for 12 hours straight. I had fun/ graphics are way better. I went and tried looking on smitesource a lot of builds say "outdated" and stuff it brings a little confusion. I havent played smite in a while and always used your site to get my builds. Is it like it used to be that if its still up its still the meta build for what you are trying to do or are you waiting to update it before freeplay?
Also just to chime in on losing skins. I'm not rich but im well middle class in california. I spent over 1500 dollars on skins in smite 1 over all those years playing and I give 0 fucks about losing those. For the game performance/ graphics / updating to new engine is absolutely epic. Its for the future of the game and getting a bigger player base. everything we put into skins now will last for many years. i got more than my moneys worth for the smite 1 skins and its a new era. I prefer the beautiful game now over some old graphics/old skins.
Ive played smite for over 6 years ive retired and enjoy playing every day without question i saw the founders pack and thought damn thats a value and ive gotten like 7 months out of smite 2 already its had ups and downs but ive already gotten my 100 bucks and i could give 2 fucks about my old skins which was substantial with ue5 its gonna make arcon thanatos look like a turd people wont wait for good stuff they just want perfect now and always and nothing less
I haven’t played smite 2 since the first alpha weekend. All the stuff I’ve been seeing recently has got me wanting to hop back in. I have around 3k hours and almost 1million legacy gems. I will lose so many skins by switching over but at-least they give us the legacy gems to full purchase old skins they’ve updated to UE5. You can also use them for 50% off all smite 2 skins. Which is awesome they’ve done more than most companies have. I hope that with this open beta release the player number go up and stay up.
I’ve been playing smite since I was a sophomore in HS. Now I’m 26 with a steady job. I purchased Smite 2 with the hope of great change. On launch of the closed alpha, I was vastly dissatisfied with the changes. I first hopped back on after seeing your videos on smite 2 and I have rekindled a love for smite. I value the relearning process and reading all the items to create goofy builds. I’m a little hurt that all the money that I had spent on smite 1 is now “gone” as I have moved over to smite 2. I’m excited to see where the game goes and hope to see the player count increase as waiting sometimes 2 mins for a new conquest game can be frustrating. I have hope for smite 2.
I took a break from smite about June of 2024 i didn’t buy the beta and am excited to try out smite 2. It looks so much better from the videos i watched from the start of the beta.
My only issue was the amount of sales they had, especially one literally a week or 2 right before they announced none of those skins will carry over Just their last chance to squeeze some money out of players before they realize that theres no point
7:52 Honestly I somewhat blame Valve and CS:GO for this issue. A lot of people make real money off of things like selling knife skins. And there are actual businesses built around gambling for those skins. When people see stuff like that, it can lead to this weird idea of your online purchases having value and you being the owner.
I genuinely feel kind of sorry for everyone who looks at it with a 'all the hours and money I put into smite 1 is now a total waste'. Like, did they not have fun playing the game? If they had fun playing the game then THAT is the value they got out of the time they spent - the enjoyment of the experience itself. And if they didn't enjoy it, why did they put so much time and money into it - an addiction to collecting pixels (skins & stars) while actually hating the experience?
I'm not complaining about missing skins, shit happens. I used to play NBA2K...spent 100s of dollars every year for like 10 years and having to do it every new game, so I'm used to "losing" stuff when a new game comes out. The only thing I want, as far as skins go, is I hope that some of my favorite skins get ported over...if not, oh well, but a guy can dream lol.
I'm a person who spent a lot of money on smite 1. Honestly, I'm relieved I'm losing all of them. It's like I felt forced to use a skin because I knew I spent money on it and to be frank I regret all of them because I don't like skins anymore. I rock default or mastery. I'm happy they are all gone and I'm also happy that I'm just playing a better smite
I've played Smite 1 since it's beta. Tons of skins, tons of rank 10s, all of that. A lot of people do, but it's not a reason to be mad over Smite 2. Just do it again if you care about it.
The only skin I complain about is the Such Cold Skadi skin. I bought that at a time when I was young and dumb, blew pretty much my whole paycheck on chest rolls for this skin. Then hi rez releases it as a free battlepass skin years later... smh
I can understand the frustration with losing skins. There was a few limited time skins that would be nice to have transferred over. Former GM player here btw haven’t been on smite since season 6. I remember joining your lobby on console during season 2-3 what a time. I’ll see what smite 2 is talking about tho once free release drops. And yes I have a real life and make money in the real world lol
I'm broke as fuck and have hundreds of skins in Smite 1. Idgaf that Smite 2 doesn't have them all and isn't giving me free stuff. It's a new game, I'm just glad that it's being worked on.
It seems like a lot of people wanted something similar to what Dead by Daylight did when they made a path to update to UE5. But, it doesn't always work like that and when there are things that are going to fundamentally change in the game, it is best to make a new game.
Rebuilding Smite from the ground up took so much effort and millions of dollars, Hi Rez still decided after all the whining these people are doing to stick to their planI doubt Smite 2 will die. Not only that, they are adding the legacy gem feature and keeping OG smite up, these people are genuinely delusional and this is the main reason I don't take anything anyone anonymous says on the internet at face value anymore. I can't wait to play the beta.
They are barely keeping smite 1 up what significant event happened in smite 1 for year 11? Nobody ask for hi Rez to spend millions on rebuilding a new smite game they did that shit every year at worlds with failed games like rouge paladins DKO etc…
Being a smite 1 beta player I fully understand people's criticisms with the earlier versions of smite 2. The game, in which I didn't enjoy for months, is now in a very playable state and I think the progress hirez has made is extremely impressive and encouraging being a smite player. I fully understood people's criticisms with the game when it was iffy for a time however, the one criticism I never understood was the people disagreeing with building. The most frequent one I've heard is you shouldn't be able to purchase every item and that the game should resort to smite 1 building, with magical and physical gods only being able to purchase their physical and magical items respectively. That critism means that you actively want the devs to limit the way you play the game literally taking away the freedom of build choice. It's like people want the devs to make the game more restrictive with player creativity.
I want Xing Tian to actually have a 3rd leap and let him press 1 or 3 while you are in your ult sort of like Hades. Also bring Genjis Guard and Bauble into Smite 2, 32 second Xing Tian ults are ridiculous in the solo lane. (his 3 is bugged and sometimes you can leap a 3rd time in smite 1) LORD AND SAVIOR DOUBLE CRIT ZHONG KUI WHERE ART THOU?
Look at the end of the day, it’s just a video game. If you don’t like or enjoy it there’s games out there for you. The people complaining and bitching about who plays and doesn’t play or what “skins” we get or don’t get need to play Fortnite. I’m someone who’s personally played smite 1 for years and bought smite 2 as soon as it was on release and it’s just like any other game I played, it’s got good and bad days. I don’t know why it’s all controversial or crazy to think that someone else can enjoy what they enjoy. Like our mommas always said growing up, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say shit at all”
Smite 2 looks hype but I barely played the alpha because the game runs really poorly for my friend I duo with. From what beta testers have said the game runs way better on the beta so I look forward to trying it out again next week.
Well I kinda just dipped out of smite awhile back. So I picked up league, I actually enjoy it alot more. But I think lots of people moved on to other games. I just love tuning into Smite drama and High rez trying to put out fires that they started. Lmao
The only thing that was lacking that mattered to be in smite 2 was the god choices, with the addition of Medusa and aspects for the others I don’t like, issue fixed it’s super fun. Marvel rivals is way better for a quick couple games compared to smites 40 minute games, like both pretty equally for different reasons for sure though.
I am loving Smite 2 ATM. The changes feel good. It was feeling rough there for a bit and I put it down for a while. Now it's back! I played Deadlock in place of Smite and found that I love it too. Guess what I can play both and love both. I actually hope once they move Deadlock to beta, we see you pick it up and do some content for both Smite 2 and Deadlock
Bro ts is so funny bc i come from overwatch and fps games and im lowkey interested in playing smite 2 when its f2p bc i tried smite 1 and it felt kinda janky to me on console and also im not good at mobas so that didnt help either but its looking like smite 2 will be cool. I also hate how everyone has rivals so far up their ass that they have to comment about it on every TH-cam video every instagram meme every youtube short like ok we get it you like the game go play it
Im actually excited to see how smite 2 gonna make an impact, lets see if the playerbase they are expecting to have will be around for more then 3 months, cause lets be honest the game gonna release f2p on the 14th and i havent see any marketing whatsoever and all its around its how they made alpha/beta payed that is it.
@@The_Geni from what i understand , its not guranteed. ig im used to how it was, im old lol. I wouldn’t expect diamond skins or all,if any, purchases to roll over. If games do it now then cool, but i can see why devs wouldn’t need to do it even if you paid for it.
I'm so happy we're (hopefully) finally dropping the people that say 'mUh SkInS.' Literally all still exist. Will be there for the foreseeable future. Have fun with your recolors on a game engine that was ground breaking in 2004.
I agree with everything but ngl when u said the thing about skins and only broke ppl are mad is a little insensitive. It felt very much "you have 5 dollars". Now i dont play smite often enough to warrent spending alot on the game, but like I play with friends from time to time and like I bought the avatar bp for zuko cause i both play Susano and love zuko so there are some skins that like im not thrilled about losing. I would say I spend maybe 50 dollars when I do spend on smite to load up gems, and then I have some loaded when I pay every once in a while so sometimes it's im playing everyday for a month sometimes I don't play for 2 months. I wouldn't say I'm mad about the skin thing. I'm more so upset but not enraged if that makes sense.
I just hope the matchmaking gets better, I'm new to the game and its been and absolute miserable experience. To the point I don't even want to try and play.
I don’t understand why people don’t get you own nothing in a live service game and it is indeed your fault for spending money in one. You never know when that service will be terminated.
That guy at the start makes me laugh because his first analogy is stupid as he’s saying the whole thing is changing (pizza place to burger place or wtv) and then right after he says smite 1 and 2 are the same games…so are they different or the same? It’s more like having a pizza shop and you start selling burgers, fish, tacos and sushi as well. It’s literally taking something that was great and making it way better!
If you care about skins so much wait until they come to smite 2. They are fucking gorgeous, and everything just looks and feels better. I can’t go back to smite 1. Fuck the skins they will get here when they get here.
I wanna play smite 2 so bad, I don't understand how people willingly rather play smite 1 when smite 2 has so much more to it, the build potentials are way cooler. It simply looks funner, unfortunately I'm stuck on an old gen console, but the instant I'm able to upgrade, I'm playing smite 2
Learning something new is GOOD. Subjectively but often objectively. Also as far as kits go, they could have made crazier changes 😂 and id love them if those changes didn't suck
just a quick comment regarding marketing and when you said Smite is a known game. Maybe in US it is the case but as said in the comment you read, in EU, it is not known at all. I have a lot of gamers around me asking me what is smite when i mention this game. So I agree with the guy mentionning marketing, in EU, it sucks unfortunatly…
I’ve been playing smite since it came to Xbox and tried their beta for it even and played since. I’ve put a lot of money and have a ton of skins. If smite 2 is better I’m fully willing to give all those skins up and their discounted gems are just a bonus to the better game.
As someone who has focused on my career, I've never given a second thought to skins or money I've spent in other games. Side note: why are there so many haters on this channel?
If your biggest draw of interest in smite 1 is the skins then you need to get rid of that mind set and try out smite 2 with out reservation because its not like they said they are going to port over most if not all skins eventualy for free if you owened it in the 1st game esspecially since the few new gods we have now are more interesting than what we got during year 10 smite and i dont say that lightly because all of those gods where my favorite. The possibilities with the new engine is just too exciting to ignore
I'm not saying it's wrong to feel a type of way about not getting your skins but no one seems to complain like this for cod, fifa, and sports games when they try to release a new one every year that is only slightly different. If you want to talk about something that could have just been an update go worry about those companies rather than the one that waited over a decade to make a second game
i know people are gonna disagree with me here, but just take smite 1 offline when smite 2 goes free to play. Delete that shit, reality is that smite 2 is better. I refuse to believe anyone is staying on smite 1 just to play with skins.
I’m way hype for smite 2, never played smite 1 and never really liked any moba for that matter but smite 2 looks and plays so well I bought the founders edition
Id almost put money on it that these ppl that say smite 2 is DOA are the ppl who swore up and down the paragon remakes would kill it. I dont think its the skins, i think its because they wanted the paragon clones to replace smite, they got invested into them, only to see they fell apart. So now they take it out on smite 2
The skins thing is so weird to me cause it's like you don't own the skins, and nobody forced you to buy them. If it's an ego thing for them that's even more sad. Nobody is impressed you spent hundreds of dollars to get a video game skin.
Idk why you didn't go further into the car analogy lol he says he will then give you another car for free it depends on how long you have had the car too which would also decrease the cars value and also mean the car is in worst shape then a brand new car smite 1 is like 10yrs old meaning if you had your car for 10 years and someone showed up and told me they would give me another for free better model I am taking that lol
I personally got 10ish years of enjoyment out of smite I feel like I got my money’s worth not idea how much I have spent over that time but I feel it was more then worth it and let’s be honest nothing last forever especially something digital look at COD every year those skins and packages are thrown away for the new game which also costs $60+ while smite is free
You can definitely own a game, not live service game or a game that requires an online connection. If you own a GameCube and a copy of smash melee that is yours for as long as you keep it and you have access to electricity and a tv.
I might play Smite 2 again, but idk when. it wasn't the game itself, just me in the moba genre. I kept getting worse and worse and the guilt of being the dogshit teammate all the time Ultimately lead me to uninstalling and stop playing. Regardless of my reason of not playing,Smite 2 is just now getting into beta! even tripple a titles have issues upon launch of a " complete game" ( looking at you skyrim). If gigantic can come back from the dead out of nowhere, i dont see why smite 2 wont survive
With all the game modes ported over as of ob1 smite 1 has 1 thing going for it over smite 2 and that is the roster size. People need to get over the “but my main isn’t in smite 2 yet” crap I hate to break it to you but you might hate your main in smite 2 when they eventually get ported I will forever tell you the morrigan is my favorite god to play in smite 1 and I don’t like her in smite 2 I also hated Cupid in smite 1 and he might be my top played Adc in smite 2 right now hi rez has put in work over the last few months I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that the roster will be out to 90 by the end of 2025 and every smite 1 god will be in smite 2 by the end of 2026 my point being that gap is going to rapidly close and that’s not even the draw of smite 2 I have a feeling people are not going to want to be playing many smite 1 ported gods once they get to 10 or so smite 2 exclusive gods I think Aladdin is just scratching the surface of what ue5 allows them to do.
Wait so when you were “dooming” the game they were upset that you was somehow killing the game, but now that you’re hyping it up cause of good updates they’re even more mad? I’m confused
i couldnt care less about some skins, it is not like the game is being deleted, i can come back whenever i want and use my old skins. Smite 2 for me is a better version of smite honestly, everything is improved and the gods look much better, cant wait to play it when it gets f2p!
you do know the unlimited god pack use to have a contingency right they use to say they could stop it at any time and you would have had to buy the characters they never did this and instead just made it "you have all the gods from now until the servers shut down" idk man that is a W for a company from me
@ THAT exact category OF* and no it’s just a weirdo take my guy not everyone gets to value money a little as you do I haven’t played smite in like 3-4 years came to check out what was going on to find out solodoubleJ isn’t playing anymore you are trying to farm drama because people aren’t watch the actual smite videos And most of the smite community doesn’t like the “new” game but you can keep the weird can head comments/attempted insults that always works
@@The_Geni it really isn't a lot of money in the grand scheme of things when considering the lifetime smite had and secondly when it goes free to play the gods can be earned easily with tokens so there is no need to buy the god pass anyway. no issue here and I think Weak3n was just making an assumption not insulting you. I don't know why someone would insult you for no reason. It is weird that you basically created a strawman of him though.
Agreed I have 189k Gems given on Smite 2 and I couldnt care less about Smite 1 Skin. What I'm looking for is experience@@2fast485
@@2fast485 Preach! Skins come and go, the core game is what we enjoy. If ya'll wanna play skin collector go play dress to impress.
It’s just the players that are bad at the game that have issues 😂😂
1000 hours in smite 1, loads of skins bought, loads of gods played that aren’t in Smite 2.
To see a game I loved that much get a sequel, with new shit to do, new gods, graphics update etc is just great. Now I get to be all hyped up again when my favourites come over as well.
Exactly!! I have almost 3k hours in smite 1 and ive never been more hyped for Smite 2
Yeah, I was there for the ow1 ow2 fiasco and when people compare the two I just laugh. I wasn’t sure how HiRez would turn this around but boy they’ve done a great job. Haven’t played in a month or so but I’ll be back for the patch. Hope this game has massive success
this is me
I havent paid attention to anything Smite 2 related for the past few months. Mainly because I got bored of the game. Now Im hearing about this whole aspect system and stuff. I high key feel like Im super behind on what's been added.
Its so much fun
Its Hella fun. It won't take you long to catch up with how the gods play. When you play ullr for the first time it will shock you how smooth that God feels.
@jordanweaver3448 my Mulan feels so nice 🤌 I really want to try Nem aspect today
Its nothing actually interesting.
@lordmew5 feeder
If smite 2 pops off and makes them a lot of money, there isn't a 0% chance they could port more skins than they intended.
I feel like alot them will be free in events and stuff as well. The road map will be long just like smite 1
@jordanweaver3448 They've said that porting skins costs a lot of man power, time and money. They're only porting a few of the most popular as a result.
@@Zanroffwhich isn’t even a problem. I’d rather than make new skins lmao
Smite 2 will ever pop off, sorry
11:38 i bought the god pack for like 15 dollars on sale and its easily the best 15 dollars i have ever spent.
Its the most money to value you will get in any game
I bought it for the full $30 and still found it to be an amazing value
@DaSoto21500 like I did the math and even if you only played 100 gods it would cost you $500 worth of gems to unlock all 100 gods
Got it for like 5 bucks on sale at one point back in like season 2-3
The first guy is a Loki arena main and is upset he is losing all his stars.
i stopped playing smite because unfortunately the group i played with just you know....started to get a life so i eventually stopped playing and never really went back but when i saw them making smite 2 with a new engine i was personally excited. instead of getting rid of the first smite they are going out of their way to make a new one while trying to use new mechanics they couldnt really do or didnt try to because the playerbase was already set in stone how they wanted the game to be. Honestly im pretty excited and im actually planning on playing smite 2 i was simply waiting for it to go f2p instead of buying into it like i did before
People just want more and more but when it’s too much it’s op or boring or unoriginal u can never satisfy everyone sadly
I spent over 4,000 dollars on the game over 12 years (not proud) but it brought me enjoyment and i am more than happy to jump over to smite 2.
smite 1 commenters upset that they have to replace their smelly, crusty shirts that they bought years ago
Yup it's confirmed people are morons 😂
they've been since 2008 pretty much
@Cliodhna-z1i 💯
How dumb are these people?
I updated today. Needed to get the backend of the website updated with new gods and items
@@Weak3n yo epic thanks for your hard work dude.
yooo that mage build is 🔥
Ive played smite for over 6 years ive retired and enjoy playing every day without question i saw the founders pack and thought damn thats a value and ive gotten like 7 months out of smite 2 already its had ups and downs but ive already gotten my 100 bucks and i could give 2 fucks about my old skins which was substantial with ue5 its gonna make arcon thanatos look like a turd people wont wait for good stuff they just want perfect now and always and nothing less
The guy from the first comment says “it’s not the same game” one sentence after saying “Ymir wall has a knock up”. That’s crazy.
I feel the same way bro.
I stopped playing Smite 2 after the second alpha weekend. I hated it. So, I am patiently waiting for the open beta. I can't wait to feel the changes
I guess I'm just a little confused.. did anyone think Smite 2 wouldn't be free to play? What would lead you to believe that?
I don't care about skins, but I do hope they will eventually port over just the Tier 5 and Cross-Over skins.
T5 absolutely. Crossover skins require a new deal to use the IP again
My only issue was the amount of sales they had, especially one literally a week or 2 right before they announced none of those skins will carry over
Just their last chance to squeeze some money out of players before they realize that theres no point
yay i made it onto the video! FYI SMITE is dead was a joke because i did not say SMITE 2.
I hope the novella dude at the beginning comments on this video, I wanna see some content on tonights stream.
Thank you weak3n for creating builds so I don't have to. CBA with that.
The aspects make it so interesting! Athena ulting enemy's to finish God's off! Fuck ya!
The only thing valid I can complain about is that I live across the globe and the ping is too high it's unplayable.
I just ask for a way to solve this
I want Xing Tian to actually have a 3rd leap and let him press 1 or 3 while you are in your ult sort of like Hades.
Hi Weak3n, i'm broke asf rn but i dont give a fuck about my SMITE 1 skin, those ppl just dont go outside.
Love the content !
I like your point on how all the achievements earned in games should be hobbies and not real life goals
I also hate how everyone has rivals so far up their ass that they have to comment about it on every TH-cam video every instagram meme every youtube short like ok we get it you like the game go play it
Marvel rivals isn’t just the best hero shooter it’s the first good game in so fucking long since ultimate alliance
Every game does this tho…
Cod every year 🤣
does what?
@ When games “reset” your in game “accomplishments” or purchases for sequels or new titles. Nothing is guaranteed to roll over, rightfully so.
@@tierodend every game doesn’t do that tho and the only thing cod resets is accounts lvl
More games port over skins and accounts than don’t

I'm so happy we're (hopefully) finally dropping the people that say 'mUh SkInS.'
Literally all still exist. Will be there for the foreseeable future. Have fun with your recolors on a game engine that was ground breaking in 2004.

I get why TH-camrs ignore their comments now. I almost popped a vein hearing some of these comments.
I stopped playing years ago when they banned my main account. Why waste time on a company that will take all your achievements.
What's the 2nd yt account name
I just hope the matchmaking gets better, I'm new to the game and its been and absolute miserable experience. To the point I don't even want to try and play.
Weaken has been a W lately I will not lie.
the dude was bitching about not having his Ra stars but im pretty sure you can display your old god mastery on your player card or someshit
I don’t understand why people don’t get you own nothing in a live service game and it is indeed your fault for spending money in one. You never know when that service will be terminated.
And it’s not even being terminated just keep playing smite 1
Can't be using one of, if not THE best Resi save themes so casually like this, Kurt 🤣
I'm only sad about the collab skins, the rest of the other one are meh but can't wait to see what skins they bring next
Learning something new is GOOD. Subjectively but often objectively.
Also as far as kits go, they could have made crazier changes 😂 and id love them if those changes didn't suck
I hopped on a few games yesterday and had fun.
just a quick comment regarding marketing and when you said Smite is a known game. Maybe in US it is the case but as said in the comment you read, in EU, it is not known at all. I have a lot of gamers around me asking me what is smite when i mention this game. So I agree with the guy mentionning marketing, in EU, it sucks unfortunatly…
That might be the case, will be interesting if they can ever market overseas
hinduman is the M. Night Shyamalan of smite game
I have 5684 hours in smite 1. I love that game and trust me, smite 2 just feels better. Im so excited for the future of smite 2.
I’ve been playing smite since it came to Xbox and tried their beta for it even and played since. I’ve put a lot of money and have a ton of skins. If smite 2 is better I’m fully willing to give all those skins up and their discounted gems are just a bonus to the better game.
Only reason I don't play smite 2 more is cus in new to PC and I'm struggling. Played smite one for years and I'm ready something fresh.
As someone who has focused on my career, I've never given a second thought to skins or money I've spent in other games.
Side note: why are there so many haters on this channel?
The haters are everywhere now that they see Smite 2 is coming to life
If your biggest draw of interest in smite 1 is the skins then you need to get rid of that mind set and try out smite 2 with out reservation because its not like they said they are going to port over most if not all skins eventualy for free if you owened it in the 1st game esspecially since the few new gods we have now are more interesting than what we got during year 10 smite and i dont say that lightly because all of those gods where my favorite. The possibilities with the new engine is just too exciting to ignore
I'm not saying it's wrong to feel a type of way about not getting your skins but no one seems to complain like this for cod, fifa, and sports games when they try to release a new one every year that is only slightly different. If you want to talk about something that could have just been an update go worry about those companies rather than the one that waited over a decade to make a second game
i like how if hes a doomer he gets hate but if he talks positively about he game he gets hate. This is so funny
i know people are gonna disagree with me here, but just take smite 1 offline when smite 2 goes free to play.
I'm sure you are atleast partly right
The skins thing is so weird to me cause it's like you don't own the skins, and nobody forced you to buy them. If it's an ego thing for them that's even more sad. Nobody is impressed you spent hundreds of dollars to get a video game skin.
I was pissed about skins when I first heard but got over it the more I've played 2. Skins are for people who can't focus on getting good
I just don't complain about shit because complaining doesn't change anything
Also also I'm an assault conq main
Idk why you didn't go further into the car analogy lol he says he will then give you another car for free
it depends on how long you have had the car too which would also decrease the cars value and also mean the car is in worst shape then a brand new car
smite 1 is like 10yrs old meaning if you had your car for 10 years and someone showed up and told me they would give me another for free better model
I am taking that lol
I personally got 10ish years of enjoyment out of smite I feel like I got my money’s worth not idea how much I have spent over that time but I feel it was more then worth it and let’s be honest nothing last forever especially something digital look at COD every year those skins and packages are thrown away for the new game which also costs $60+ while smite is free
You can definitely own a game, not live service game or a game that requires an online connection.
If you own a GameCube and a copy of smash melee that is yours for as long as you keep it and you have access to electricity and a tv.
You know how it is there are always the loud ones and they are always the ones with the weird opinions
The people complaining about 35 dollars for the god pack a decade later probably buy the new call of duty every year for 70 bucks a pop
Honestly people that co plain about skins they bought etc , I prefer for them to stay to smite 1 . Let me enjoy my smite 2 in piece
Assault main here and watch your content. cause I use your builds lol
With all the game modes ported over as of ob1 smite 1 has 1 thing going for it over smite 2 and that is the roster size. People need to get over the “but my main isn’t in smite 2 yet” crap I hate to break it to you but you might hate your main in smite 2 when they eventually get ported I will forever tell you the morrigan is my favorite god to play in smite 1 and I don’t like her in smite 2 I also hated Cupid in smite 1 and he might be my top played Adc in smite 2 right now hi rez has put in work over the last few months I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that the roster will be out to 90 by the end of 2025 and every smite 1 god will be in smite 2 by the end of 2026 my point being that gap is going to rapidly close and that’s not even the draw of smite 2 I have a feeling people are not going to want to be playing many smite 1 ported gods once they get to 10 or so smite 2 exclusive gods I think Aladdin is just scratching the surface of what ue5 allows them to do.
yo kurt spitting facts here! and stop comparing games from different genres ffs !!!!
Wait so when you were “dooming” the game they were upset that you was somehow killing the game, but now that you’re hyping it up cause of good updates they’re even more mad? I’m confused
THATS WHAT IM SAYING TOO
i couldnt care less about some skins, it is not like the game is being deleted, i can come back whenever i want and use my old skins. Smite 2 for me is a better version of smite honestly, everything is improved and the gods look much better, cant wait to play it when it gets f2p!
I've been here for smite 2 since first alpha drop. Here for the long haul
12:53 This is a weird take
sounds like you might fall in the exact category if complainer I was referring to
you do know the unlimited god pack use to have a contingency right
they use to say they could stop it at any time and you would have had to buy the characters
they never did this and instead just made it "you have all the gods from now until the servers shut down" idk man that is a W for a company from me
@ THAT exact category OF* and no it’s just a weirdo take my guy not everyone gets to value money a little as you do
I haven’t played smite in like 3-4 years came to check out what was going on to find out solodoubleJ isn’t playing anymore you are trying to farm drama because people aren’t watch the actual smite videos
And most of the smite community doesn’t like the “new” game
but you can keep the weird can head comments/attempted insults that always works
I don't think he's been farming "drama". just making good old smite content like he always has brother.
@@kiraaofthedust8123 1.my guy stop glazing him lol 2. if you don't think someone making an assumption about you being a poor person that's sits on the computer all day isn't an insult you must have some wild standards 3.This is straight up only a video farming drama for clicks my guy they tittle is my commentors are raging in all caps and then him reading weird takes while giving his own weird takes 4. THERE IS A TON OF MONEY IN KEEPING YOUR MAIN PLAYERBASE HAPPY especially when you only have like 5k steam players and the rest are console keep the accounts and skins of everyone and people stop complaining people try the game becasue they don't feel like they are being stolen from
overwatch would have died
CS would have died
League of legends would have died
Warzone would have died but COD players are used to getting screwed
POE is 2 good of a game to even consider not giving you your skins
HiRez does not have the player base to piss people off and be fine
