Well, it looks as if OPI is going to continue splitting IS from its NL line, which irks me. This collection is clearly more summer than the regular line, so just offer it in both lines. I’m a fan of citrus brights in the summer, so the orange, yellow and green are calling my name! 🍊🍋🟩🍋 I also want the pink one and one of the blue ones, but I really need to think about what’s already in my collection. I might not have dupes, but do I have similar enough. I really need to get over my FOMO when it comes to polishes! Lol I think the color you were thinking of that reminded you of “I deserve the whirl” could be “Nessie plays hide & sea-k” from OPI Scotland Fall 2019. It’s probably been over a decade since I’ve heard “glass fleck.” I do remember China Glaze having a glass fleck collection. Thanks for the swatches!!
Hi! Yes, it irks me too! Must just be a money grab from the loyal people who like to collect OPI. Shame on OPI for that. I have been wearing this crazy skittle mani since I did the video, using all the colors from this collection, and I am loving Limelight, I Deserve the Whirl, Feelin Myself and even Funshine ! Hi I’m using OPI base and top coat with 2 coats of colour all regular line. However shortly after - the next day my manicure looks a little dull. It doesn’t look glossy. This has happened with several different colours what am I doing wrong?
Hi! I’m sure you’re not doing anything wrong. I think some top coats just aren’t as shiny and glossy as others. Does adding a second coat of top coat on day 2 when you notice it looking dull help at all? Has it always happened with the OPI regular line top coat? Do you notice a difference when using a new bottle verses one you’ve been using for a while and is getting a fill line showing? Maybe as you use the bottle and it gets that fill line and more air is in the bottle it will naturally change the consistency of the polish, making it more thick. Maybe that has something to do with it, unless you even notice the dullness with a new, full bottle. If you notice it happening right from the beginning when using a new bottle, I’m really not sure what to advise other than just trying other brands topcoats. If you notice it happens more as you use the bottle you could try either adding a few drops of polish thinner (OPI has a good one) or having a second bottle and keeping it pretty much full so the air doesn’t get in. I’m sorry I’m not a whole lot of help. While I do have some OPI top coats, I pretty much stick to my very favorite one which is from Duri, called Miracote. That one dries fast, seems to stay shiny and never gets thick even as it gets a fill line in the bottle. (I’m not affiliated with Duri or anything, just a huge fan of their topcoat. 😊) Anyway, let me know if you find anything that works to keep the OPI top coat shiny past day one.
