I can’t pretend to know what it’s like to be a black man in America so I’m not gonna try. But growing up in a black neighborhood In Atlanta, I’ve seen first hand how the police acted there vs the community I’m in now, and it’s unreal. a lot of those police are scared of their own shadows and a lot of avoidable violence occurred because of that. But while I don’t necessarily agree with what Chris said above in how he put it, but I think he’s referring more to the black on black crime that’s so rampant in these communities, and the fact that it’s so seldom addressed and all then blame goes to the police and government. As a white member of a black community, my only suggestion would be to stand together as a community and not tolerate the bullshit, not stealing from each other, shooting each other, selling dope to each others kids. When we as a community stand for our own, I guarantee it’ll be a new day, and then we can start handling problems that come from the outside. The biggest change needs to happen within. But like I said, that’s just my opinion thru a different set of eyes.
